This took Geoff years to get done. It's his magnum opus. Or was at that time. The arrangement, for one this, then getting everyone to record their parts, then getting them together to film it. They're all such busy people. It's incredible. And Cesar gives Geoff some really cute looks. :)
This is one of my favourites from voiceplay. Emonis voice in this is stellar Rachel is always amazing and a joy to have with voiceplay and Geoff's passion clearly shows in this arrangement
I enjoy your R/A so much. I haven't seen Wicked, but sure love this medley. Most of the songs I was familiar with due to other covers. Can't wait to see your next one!
One of my very favorites and every person makes this amazing. VoicePlay does the vocals separately and before the video which in this case was perfect. Rachel got her part done and then came down with laryngitis. She's a trooper.
Geoff's 7 minute beast, lol. This is one of the biggest and most complicated arrangements VP has ever done. We finally got Rachael back after she had her baby but we haven't seen Emoni for a while. If you haven't seen 'The Bones' yet, it's beautiful and features Emoni. 'Just Sing' is another one that has a ton of features. It was put together over video during the pandemic. Anyways, awesome reaction! Love getting your perspective on Layne's beats! ❤
It gives you some plot points, but the songs aren’t in order. The medley jumps back and forth between acts 1 and 2 and ends with the last song of Act 1.
@CaymanGiordano I still get the jist though. I know the songs aren't in order from what others have said. It doesn't matter. It's one of those things that doesn't stir any interest from me to watch it.
I haven't seen the musical, though I knew several of the songs. However, I read the book the musical is based on many years before the musical was a thing, so know the story. I actually think I've read all the books in the series. Very interesting books, I enjoyed them. My only complaint about this medley is that it was cut rather poorly in audio version, you get the first notes of some songs at the end of others and vice versa. For example "Good new-" plays at the end of the previous song. Otherwise, it's epic!💙
There are so many amazing singing moments in this one that no one ever pays attention to Layne. So glad you did this one!

Love this reaction. I see this video in a new way. Thanks to you

My favorite with Emoni is “I Love Me”. It’s hilarious.
Love this medley!! Layne did Greatest Showman after this. One section has every one beatboxing with Elizabeth Garrazo doing the descant off screen.
Geoff and Layne working together killed this rhythm section to create such a powerful backbone for so many different tunes.
My favorite performance from Layne. Mind blowing.
Wicked will be released as a movie coming out in the Fall. Loved this reaction!
Yeah, this one is a wild ride. Couldn't imagine what it takes for Layne to hold this one down.
I hadn’t seen Wicked either before I heard this medley. I enjoyed the show but the songs all sounded wrong to me after listening to VP 😂😂
Ok. #2. Here I go down a new rabbit hole! "SWISSSSSSHHHHHH 🫠
@@judithboulden3456 Enjoyyyyyy
6:55 @denalicat I hope “I love Me” is on that list haha some great Layne bits!
I've never seen Wicked either, but this medley definitely explains the plot.

Guys always want to be Geoff or want to know how to do the lovely low notes and women just melt. 🙃
❤
Rachel was an understudy in the play, but not for the role she sang here.
She understudied the Glinda role, I believe.
Is the beat at the beginning a syncopation beat?
I believe it is 3/4 time or 6/8...could be wrong...
Annoying reaction as usual. Can't say you're not consistent.
Why do you continue to watch? I personally don’t watch things I don’t enjoy. I’m an adult and not forced to do things I don’t like.
