3:26 if you listen carefully, you can actually hear luigi *scream* in pain as he sinks into the lava, showing not just how sad his death was, but *how much pain he was in* as he sank into nothingness. I can imagine mario just watching. As his own brother sinks into the magma in agonizing pain. He *couldn't* believe what he has commited just to stop Koopa. *Killing his own brother* was the only option, since there wasn't any other choice to get to King Koopa himself.
I know for a fact I’m over analyzing this, but this song just fits what Mario must be feeling from his brother’s betrayal. At first it’s slow and sad, much like how Mario would obviously be feeling shocked and distraught at first, but later in the song it’s intense, which is Mario going from distraught to filled with rage from Luigi’s betrayal, leading to Mario acting angrily without thinking, which causes him to kill his brother.
Okay the vibe this song gives off is just *phenomenal.* That intro was just amazing, and then the drop... Holy crap the drop. And that's not even mentioning the other parts with the held notes! This is just. Too. GOOD

I love how most of the song's instrumental is a consistent _Castle Theme_ leitmotif (not to mention the two dueling brothers begin singing it at 2:25!) since the story is set in _Super Mario World._ Amazing song, really digging Saster's thumbnail art for this! Outstanding job, it's pretty flippin' bussin'!
This is honestly one of my favorite IHY related songs, it's so good! The motifs are on point, the opening sets the mood just right before throwing you into this wonderful hellscape of guitars, all accented by the strings. Keep up the amazing work!

if i were to do a chart for it, i'd probably just do some normal charting for the most part except for a few lava bubble notes that you don't wanna hit. as for mechanics that shit would be built like 7quid's fighting mechanics cause they're a ton of fun and would fit for the song itself. only real changes to the system is requiring maybe multiple space bar presses to do 2 attacks every once in a while, or maybe requiring you to press a different key to dodge other attacks.

i liked this song a lot, as someone who grew up with most Mario games post Mario galaxy 1, i can say i went back and played Mario world since i love its style, and then again. seeing the goofy creepypasta have a track with references all over to the castles is a nice touch. also my man red Luigi killed green Mario and made him not crispy enough. the end screen needed Luigi to be more burnt / charred up. -final note, this reminded me how i kept killing everyone in my 4 player Super Mario bros U run with friends without remorse.

Mario was appalled. “Luigi… that’s not true! I would give anything in the world for y-“ Luigi interrupted him. “Shut up, Fungus-mouth! It’s too late for apologies!” He shouted. “But I love you as a brother! I wouldn’t betray you!” Mario shot back, angered. “You already have!” Luigi finished. Mario knew it was too late… 2 minutes later… Luigi punched Mario in the jaw, sending him falling to his butt. Mario pulled out a cape, knocking Luigi aside. Luigi counter attacked, shooting a green fire ball. “Ah!” Mario’s overalls went up in flames. He shook them off. However, the green menace was already making another move. He RKO’d Mario 10 feet away, sending him crashing into the wobbly bridge. He didn’t get up. “Mwa-ha-ha!” Luigi laughed. Suddenly, the bridge started collapsing behind him. Luigi gritted his teeth, and ran from the collapsing chunks. Mario began to stir, and noticed what was happening. He scrambled to his feet. Luigi leaped over a large gap of lava, towards Mario. Mario reached out his hand. Luigi saw it in midair, knowing he wasn’t going to make it there. He grabbed on for dear life. “Cmon, Luigi! Let’s get out of here and leave this behind us!” Mario called out. Luigi paused, smiling fully. He laughed. “I hate you, Mario. I really do.” Then, he let go, plummeting into the lava below……
Honestly I believe that Mario accidentally knocks Luigi into the lava while trying to defend himself, which in this song Luigi screams and doesn't say "oh God no!" But I think Mario yells that due to hime realizing he made a mistake
The fact that there isn't a mod for this is sad. This song drops really hard, and in my opinion, is slightly better than Judas. If we did get something to work with, that would be great. Especially a potential FLP (yes because i wanna make a cover on it so much).
