You totally got my brother and I hooked on this, would love to see your analyses/theories. I've already made a chart from most innocent to most guilty + what I would have voted/might vote each trial.
The only problem with this project is the English translation. Just the 'Innocent' and 'Guilty' alone were already altered from the original Japanese words. Our verdicts are actually 'Forgivable' and 'Unforgivable' because they all, 10 murderers, are guilty for their crimes in some way. There's no one innocent here, everyone's wrong, but it's up to you whether you'll forgive each individual or not.
The translation of the lyrics were occasionally off too, from what I've seen in the comment sections of each song. The most obvious one is 2nd trial Haruka's, but since the voice drama was out, it seems to be intentional that the lyrics were translated that way, still, it kinda mislead the audience to some degree.
MILGRAM voters are wild lmao. the way they didn't even care about Haruka's well being (as he said in the voice drama that he would off himself if Muu got voted as guilty) and voted Muu as guilty will forever be funny. that was when I knew that the majority of the voters are actually focused on the characters' cases and not playing favourites
As a BIGGGG Haruka fan I'm so disappointed in how those votes turned out, but honestly he's a really complicated character to vote,,, I just know Haruka is gonna lash out at this outcome 😭I don't think he'll die, since Shidou may be able to treat him due to being innocent still, but his "friendship" with Mu will ABSOLUTELY change, but his third trial song will surely be heartbreaking agh
I really hope it gets more popular,,it is such an interesting series and the songs are so good,i would litterally listen to any of them for hours without getting tired. The time reading all the dialogues,listening to the songs and find more about the character is really worth it and fun!!
The entire concept sounds amazing. The music videos, the characters, your role in the story. The only thing I can say I dislike is that a group vote with other people decide the verdict. I feel like it takes away from the experience if the result is just a majority vote, if that makes sense. I'd rather choose the route than let popularity guide me. Because of this I can't say I'll be playing it but if there's other videos after the first set of videos for other choices I may consider checking it out.
I feel quite the oppisite actually, with the group voting aspect! While a personal experience is all well and good having individuals go down routes themselves takes away from the community I feel the project grows. Weeby mentioned that its really fun to theory craft and watch with others and I wouldn't be having near as much fun if I didn't have others on the same page as me to discuss. If others were to be able to access flip sided videos not only would the weight of the guilty verdict be lifted but it would also muddle the turmoil the characters go through after the trial one results. The group as a whole really shifts and you feel like every outcome and vote matters. If you watch is up to you of course but I really think you should give it an extra shot! Especially as the trial 2 videos are premiering within the next few months, no better time then now.

I've been a fan of MILGRAM since Futa's first MV was released and it's been incredibly impressive so far and quite disappointing the series has been mostly under the radar until Mikoto's MV dropped so thank you a lot for this video. I'd love to hear more about your theories and analysis of the characters, especially Mikoto. I also agree with everything you put in this video and I'm glad you discussed the details to clear up some common misconceptions(i.e. what innocent/guilty means and how the milgram project includes scenarios that may not even count as murder for an interesting moral dilemma from the audience.) I also appreciate how you mentioned the way this series handles character writing cause in my personal opinion, I find the way these characters are written even more compelling than the voting system. It's impressive how humanized these characters feel within 3 minute MVs and I feel like the aforementioned grey areas where the situation may not even be murder helps with that realistic feel. Also yes, Yuno is indeed best girl 🥰
OMG, yes, more analysis videos, PLEASE. It's so hard finding ANY Milgram-related content on YT, of people talking about it, reacting to it, etc, which is a huge shame, because it's really something special and more people should really be discussing it. I got into milgram after watching this video the day it came out. I have been a dedicated fan of the series since then. I would really love to see weeby do more content around milgram, whether it be theory crafting, character analysis, etc, as long as weeby enjoys making it.
Bri and Jeff introduced me to this series and I couldn‘t be more glad that they did. Love theorizing and speculating with everyone, especially looking through each little detail in the music video that have so much symbolism. It‘s overall just so much fun + it also kinda tackles your moral compass. I personally decided to avoid the interrogation and voice dramas, just bc I wanna come up with a verdict by just having their Songs and their reactions towards their individual verdicts in each trial.
(A few spoilers for Milgram) Ok I’ve watched a few videos so far and I’m HOOKED. While I was watching Haruka’s first music video I kept thinking “I just wanna hug this poor boy-“ even though I didn’t really get what was happening until I read the comments lol. When I was watching Yuno’s first music video I was like “Ok, ok, I think I know what she’s describing, ok.” *looks at the comments* “Oh. Abortion. Ok. Ok…” Anyway, Yuno is indeed best girl. And I now REALLY want you to start doing character analysis videos on these characters.
I would personally love to see your analysis videos on each MV and characters! I’ve been obsessed with Milgram ever since I found it like literally a week ago. When I’ve been analyzing each MV, their interrogation questions, and voice dramas myself and trying to see whether I forgave their sins, I found out a lot about myself and my moral compass especially since many of my thoughts of the characters have been constantly changing!! I’ve even found some complications and hypocrisy in my thoughts when I explore deeper into the characters and so I always seemed to be in conflict with myself it’s genuinely amazing how I could be so conflicted. I can’t wait for my favorite boy Futa’s second trial song to drop this November 😍
Milgram is really a treat for diving into a concept like this as it gives you lots of perspective to look over also wrap your head around certain things you may have not understood before and hearing out what everyone can interpret with theories and such is what makes it really cool overall. I love Milgram for being like a mind game overall this project is underrated indeed and I am glad you made a video about it cause it deserves to get more recognition and content ofc
If you like Milgram, then you'll probably enjoy Vivinos's Alien Stage, too. Because while as of now and in the foreseeable future, you'll never be able to decide the characters' fates, it's basically just a K-pop death game.

I'm so glad you're covering this series! Milgram is one of the series I'm currently really interested in, and it's great to see it getting covered on a larger channel to a different audience! You covered what it's about really well, and I'd personally be really interested in analyses of the characters or the music videos, as there's just so much to discuss about them.

I think Id love to hear analysis videos on this especially since it seems purely visual I remember in your Danganronpa character analysis videos you got pretty indepth on things like the clothes and other small stuff and that kind of critical eye is super helpful

One of if not the coolest premises for a story I have ever heard of. And there's so many talented people involved too! I was roughly 4 years too late for the Kagerou Project's hay day, so you best believe I'm not gonna be late for this! Also, geez, this thing is 3 years old?! Where did the time go LOL
I would love a discussion video! As soon as I finished watching your video I ended up binge watching the entire channel for Milgram and it was a TREAT! Read at your own discretion! When I first saw Haruka's MV I was CONVINCED that he was voted guilty and was genuinely surprised when I found out he was voted innocent. It's true that he's obviously hurting A LOT but he caused a lot of hurt as well. While I firmly believe he deserved a guilty verdict for the first trial, it isn't necessarily a punishment I want for him but to be put in a psychiatric ward or something. Milgram won't give him that though, which is why judging Haruka has been really difficult because he's such an "extremist" character that no matter what we choose for him it's going to have severe consequences Yuno is without a doubt the most innocent person in Milgram. You can dislike Yuno all you want for her lifestyle or her personality, but to me she hasn't committed any crimes worth convicting whatsoever. Until I see her kill an actual ALIVE baby, she is innocent (although I do want to note, I have seen her second MV and it almost seems like she wants to be told that what she's doing is wrong? Not sure what to make of it) Similarly I wasn't surprised with Futa's guilty verdict and I think it was a very necessary decision for his specific crime. I would have been surprised if he was given a "forgiven" verdict Mu's an insanely tricky character for me. I can't make sense of her whatsoever. I originally put her down as a "forgiven" verdict like most other people did, but when I saw how she acted after that forgiven verdict I wish I had gone a guilty verdict. To me it looks like she's using some sort of victim complex to justify her crime and any other decision she makes. As long as she believes she is "innocent" or "forgiven" she believes she is "justified" Shidou's honestly the least memorable character for me and it isn't to say that I don't think he's interesting, I'm just the most confused by his circumstances? It seems to me at least he's been purposefully negligent when it comes to patients in his care in the hopes of harvesting their organs to save someone he loves? And since the person he loved also died he essentially neglected all of his patients in vain which is why he doesn't feel like he deserves forgiveness? Very iffy on this one, but I agree with the "forgiven" verdict for right now anyways I was SHOCKED when I saw Mahiru was given a guilty verdict??? I do fully understand why she was the most confusing character because it feels like we're wearing rose-tinted glasses until the very end of the MV where we see the first panicked look on her face, HOWEVER, I don't believe she deserved a guilty verdict whatsoever. I think she was probably a manipulative and gaslighting sort of person because the implication seems to be that the boyfriend committed suicide due to the pressures of being Mahiru's boyfriend? It just felt like something we needed more context for. Either way I'm very sorry for how her guilty verdict affected her afterwards :( Kazui had one of the better songs, I enjoyed his a lot. I don't have an insane amount to say about Kazui, but it seems like he was chosen by Milgram because he was a flawed communicator who had to suffer the consequence of his wife's death when he failed to emotionally communicate with her? I agree with the "forgiven" verdict until more context is given I was sick to my stomach when I saw Amane's video. Amane's been doomed to fail this project since the very beginning, regardless of whether you voted her innocent or guilty she's just been so brainwashed by this cult that I don't think changing her mind is possible anymore. As proven with how she's been affected after being convicted guilty, she seems to have dug her heels into the ground about her beliefs due to the abuse she suffered. I don't foresee any happy ending for Amane and I think that's what makes her circumstance the most sickening in my opinion Mikoto's interesting. From a narrative standpoint I'm happy he was voted guilty because I think his clueless act needed to be put to the test and I was happy when Jackolope confirmed that he does indeed have DID, and honestly it doesn't appear like his guilty verdict affected him very much. This is probably because he firmly believes that he isn't guilty whatsoever, so despite his run-in with Kotoko and his restrictions, he didn't look that much worse for wear. Similarly to Mu, I also thought Kotoko was very clear-cut a "forgiven" verdict because despite some vigilante similarities she shares with Futa, Kotoko's felt more personable while Futa's was just him being an irresponsible god-complex cyberbully. However after she's beaten up anyone who was convicted guilty, it makes me wonder whether she's more malicious than originally first thought. Similarly to Mu, it seems like Kotoko is waiting for opportunities to justify releasing her pent-up bloodlust on anyone she can get away with brutalizing and so I wouldn't be surprised if she was faced with a guilty verdict this upcoming trial My Forgiven Verdicts: Yuno, Mu (regretfully), Shidou, Mahiru, Kazui, Amane (debatably), Kotoko (regretfully) My Guilty Verdicts: Haruka, Futa, Mikoto (regretfully) This is a really nuanced series and I'm so happy you introduced me to it! Keep up the great work!

I watched all of the videos in the playlist and I want to thank you for making this so accessible. I don't know that I would have been able to engage with it otherwise. But I'm glad that I did, because the premise is fascinating and execution even moreso. I love the variety in the "murders", the interesting moral conundrums presented in each, and the focus on character throughout. I'm especially intrigued by Mu, Mahiru, and Shidou. Kotoko's got my favorite video/song though. So good. It's really cool being in the second trial now as well, and seeing how the interpretations of these characters are already starting to shift. I hope you continue to follow this and do more with it!

Yes Milgram, can I give some opinions on some prisoners? Haruka: I don't want him near Muu, he's too precious (probably needs therapy),also I voted him guilty in both trials Yuno: When I finally connected the dots and realised what crime she did ,it was like the best feeling ever because for first 5 replays I was like 'wha-? stairs? balloons? more stairs? ,I voted her innocent in both trials Futa: He just slayed in his t2 song (I voted him innocent in t1it but didn't go my way lmao) ,what kotoko did to him is sad but also idk whenever I watch him talk about kotoko in t2 I just can't help but laugh ,my boy is traumatized 😂🥲,I voted him innocent in t2 Muu: So as someone who was bullied once I did kind of sympathise with her and voted her innocent ,trial 2 for some people was very shocking but I kind of saw this one coming ,her character is very complex to understand . Voted her guilty later. Shidou: My man is gorgeous ,I would vote him innocent even if he did actually kill for bad reasons. Innocent all the way. Mahiru: She is honestly the most annoying prisoner for me ,a bit too obsessed with love, kind of freaks me out. Do feel bad for what Kotoko did but I personally voted her guilty both times. Kazui: I swear it pissed me off so much when I saw people voting him guilty for whatever drama that happened . I voted him innocent everyday . In t1 I was a bit reluctant to vote him innocent but t2 ,hell na . By baby deserves his rights. Also his voice is most asmr material. Amane: SHE IS SCARY, SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME. I voted her innocent in t1 but people had different views. Though in t2 I voted her guilty. I don't think there is any chance for her to calm down. My girl hates Shidou to death and Shidou wanted a child to judge his sins (although idk if t2 voting him innocent will help but I feel like Amane could actually hurt him and he will accept it as his punishment). Also this was also a trial I watched for days to finally understand what was going on. Mikoto: Now maybe because I've read a lot of DID related manga and stuff ,I never suspected him of lying. But still for him idk ,I'm confused about few things. If we take that John really was the one who killed then I will vote him innocent. But then a part of me says what if John is covering up for Mikoto? Idk I'm confued but I did vote him innocent both times. Kotoko: I voted her innocent in t1 and am currently one of those 20% something people who are voting her innocent even in t2. To me she just needs to chill and what she did was not her mistake but the mistake of the viewers. Its also funny how we are judging and technically punishing prisoners and really hating so much on her. I don't think she will be voted innocent and I am ready to pay for her therapy later. (people might hate me for this one)

It would be nice if you make analysis videos for each of the songs and then tell what was you initial verdict for the characters and then the verdict after the results are shown if it has changed your perception on certain characters or not. Over all I fully support the decision to make more Milgram video cause I am also OBSESSED with this series!

i love milgram! what i like about it the most is how interactive it feels, like voting innocent or guilty has a very huge impact on the characters in ways none of us saw coming at first until the second trial started. you’re not voting strictly with whether you forgive them or not, but also with what might be best for their circumstance like with amane and fuuta

I guess the only problem is that it reminds me of how I'm not very bright every time I realize how many things went over my head in each song. The songs aren't my type of music, but I actually liked some of them. And the 2nd trial announcement made everything a lot more interesting. Too bad I can't vote because I have no twitter. Oh oh I'm glad you did that video weeby because that sounds fascinating! Now, I literally just discovered it through you but one thing that stands out to me is simply the title, that feels like a straightforward and obvious reference to the infamous Milgram Experiment. I don't know how much the Milgram Experiment is common knowledge? It seems pretty famous to me but in case, for those who don't know: this experiment was conducted in 1963 where researchers would require volunteers to ask questions to test subjects, and whenever the test subjects would answer wrong an electric shock would be given to them by the person asking questions, the intensity of shock growing crescendo the more they answered wrong. However, the "test subjects" were actors and the shocks fake, something the people asking questions were not aware of. The real individuals being tested and studied were the volunteers, especially how they reacted to authority, the researchers near them always insisting for them to continue to give shocks, no matter how intense, and to the actors pleading and asking for the experiment to stop. Another factor studied was when/if the participants ever stopped or refused to comply. The majority, even if remorseful, stayed until the end, going as far as administrating shocks that would have proved extremely dangerous if real. But the whole prison setting reminds me of another experiment, rather similar to that of Milgram's: the Stanford Prison Experiment. This one is even more sickening. Taking place in 1971, students volunteered to a social experiment where some of them would play the guards, and others would play the prisoners. It took only two days for the prison guards to start displaying sadistic behavior, abusing the "inmates" and creating discord among them by rewarding the "good" ones and punishing the "bad ones". In just a week, a cruel violent hierarchy had been installed. It sounds insane to think all of them were just college students a week prior. It feels important to add that both of these experiments have been heavily criticized for the way it manipulated its participants in the first case, and failed to protect them in the second. Plus an interesting critic I saw is that the advertisement for the Stanford Prison Experiment specified right away roles of prison guards and prisoners, which might have attracted more violent personalities from the get go. So yeah! That makes me wonder if this thing is really about the prisoners or if it doesn't actually revolve around Es and his own morality, or maybe ours as "participants"?

Honestly I just found out about it after this videos and the songs hit SO HARD! Defiantly have some characters that I adore (No 1, 7 and 10 especially). Only problem I have is when the majority vote one way when you yourself would choose another (won’t spoil season 1 but there is two specific character that I would not have seen as guilty atm).

The only problem with this project is the English translation. Just the 'Innocent' and 'Guilty' alone were already altered from the original Japanese words. Our verdicts are actually 'Forgivable' and 'Unforgivable' because they all, 10 murderers, are guilty for their crimes in some way. There's no one innocent here, everyone's wrong, but it's up to you whether you'll forgive each individual or not.
The translation of the lyrics were occasionally off too, from what I've seen in the comment sections of each song. The most obvious one is 2nd trial Haruka's, but since the voice drama was out, it seems to be intentional that the lyrics were translated that way, still, it kinda mislead the audience to some degree.
MILGRAM voters are wild lmao. the way they didn't even care about Haruka's well being (as he said in the voice drama that he would off himself if Muu got voted as guilty) and voted Muu as guilty will forever be funny. that was when I knew that the majority of the voters are actually focused on the characters' cases and not playing favourites

As a BIGGGG Haruka fan I'm so disappointed in how those votes turned out, but honestly he's a really complicated character to vote,,, I just know Haruka is gonna lash out at this outcome 😭I don't think he'll die, since Shidou may be able to treat him due to being innocent still, but his "friendship" with Mu will ABSOLUTELY change, but his third trial song will surely be heartbreaking agh

I really hope it gets more popular,,it is such an interesting series and the songs are so good,i would litterally listen to any of them for hours without getting tired.
The time reading all the dialogues,listening to the songs and find more about the character is really worth it and fun!!
The entire concept sounds amazing. The music videos, the characters, your role in the story. The only thing I can say I dislike is that a group vote with other people decide the verdict. I feel like it takes away from the experience if the result is just a majority vote, if that makes sense. I'd rather choose the route than let popularity guide me. Because of this I can't say I'll be playing it but if there's other videos after the first set of videos for other choices I may consider checking it out.
I feel quite the oppisite actually, with the group voting aspect! While a personal experience is all well and good having individuals go down routes themselves takes away from the community I feel the project grows. Weeby mentioned that its really fun to theory craft and watch with others and I wouldn't be having near as much fun if I didn't have others on the same page as me to discuss. If others were to be able to access flip sided videos not only would the weight of the guilty verdict be lifted but it would also muddle the turmoil the characters go through after the trial one results. The group as a whole really shifts and you feel like every outcome and vote matters.
If you watch is up to you of course but I really think you should give it an extra shot! Especially as the trial 2 videos are premiering within the next few months, no better time then now.

I've been a fan of MILGRAM since Futa's first MV was released and it's been incredibly impressive so far and quite disappointing the series has been mostly under the radar until Mikoto's MV dropped so thank you a lot for this video. I'd love to hear more about your theories and analysis of the characters, especially Mikoto.
I also agree with everything you put in this video and I'm glad you discussed the details to clear up some common misconceptions(i.e. what innocent/guilty means and how the milgram project includes scenarios that may not even count as murder for an interesting moral dilemma from the audience.) I also appreciate how you mentioned the way this series handles character writing cause in my personal opinion, I find the way these characters are written even more compelling than the voting system. It's impressive how humanized these characters feel within 3 minute MVs and I feel like the aforementioned grey areas where the situation may not even be murder helps with that realistic feel.

I got into milgram after watching this video the day it came out. I have been a dedicated fan of the series since then. I would really love to see weeby do more content around milgram, whether it be theory crafting, character analysis, etc, as long as weeby enjoys making it.
Bri and Jeff introduced me to this series and I couldn‘t be more glad that they did. Love theorizing and speculating with everyone, especially looking through each little detail in the music video that have so much symbolism. It‘s overall just so much fun + it also kinda tackles your moral compass.
I personally decided to avoid the interrogation and voice dramas, just bc I wanna come up with a verdict by just having their Songs and their reactions towards their individual verdicts in each trial.
(A few spoilers for Milgram) Ok I’ve watched a few videos so far and I’m HOOKED. While I was watching Haruka’s first music video I kept thinking “I just wanna hug this poor boy-“ even though I didn’t really get what was happening until I read the comments lol. I would personally love to see your analysis videos on each MV and characters! I’ve been obsessed with Milgram ever since I found it like literally a week ago. When I’ve been analyzing each MV, their interrogation questions, and voice dramas myself and trying to see whether I forgave their sins, I found out a lot about myself and my moral compass especially since many of my thoughts of the characters have been constantly changing!! I’ve even found some complications and hypocrisy in my thoughts when I explore deeper into the characters and so I always seemed to be in conflict with myself it’s genuinely amazing how I could be so conflicted.

Milgram is really a treat for diving into a concept like this as it gives you lots of perspective to look over also wrap your head around certain things you may have not understood before and hearing out what everyone can interpret with theories and such is what makes it really cool overall. If you like Milgram, then you'll probably enjoy Vivinos's Alien Stage, too. Because while as of now and in the foreseeable future, you'll never be able to decide the characters' fates, it's basically just a K-pop death game.

When I first saw Haruka's MV I was CONVINCED that he was voted guilty and was genuinely surprised when I found out he was voted innocent. It's true that he's obviously hurting A LOT but he caused a lot of hurt as well. While I firmly believe he deserved a guilty verdict for the first trial, it isn't necessarily a punishment I want for him but to be put in a psychiatric ward or something. Milgram won't give him that though, which is why judging Haruka has been really difficult because he's such an "extremist" character that no matter what we choose for him it's going to have severe consequences
Yuno is without a doubt the most innocent person in Milgram. You can dislike Yuno all you want for her lifestyle or her personality, but to me she hasn't committed any crimes worth convicting whatsoever. Until I see her kill an actual ALIVE baby, she is innocent (although I do want to note, I have seen her second MV and it almost seems like she wants to be told that what she's doing is wrong? Not sure what to make of it)
Similarly I wasn't surprised with Futa's guilty verdict and I think it was a very necessary decision for his specific crime. I would have been surprised if he was given a "forgiven" verdict
Mu's an insanely tricky character for me. I can't make sense of her whatsoever. I originally put her down as a "forgiven" verdict like most other people did, but when I saw how she acted after that forgiven verdict I wish I had gone a guilty verdict. To me it looks like she's using some sort of victim complex to justify her crime and any other decision she makes. As long as she believes she is "innocent" or "forgiven" she believes she is "justified"
Shidou's honestly the least memorable character for me and it isn't to say that I don't think he's interesting, I'm just the most confused by his circumstances? It seems to me at least he's been purposefully negligent when it comes to patients in his care in the hopes of harvesting their organs to save someone he loves? And since the person he loved also died he essentially neglected all of his patients in vain which is why he doesn't feel like he deserves forgiveness? Very iffy on this one, but I agree with the "forgiven" verdict for right now anyways
I was SHOCKED when I saw Mahiru was given a guilty verdict??? I do fully understand why she was the most confusing character because it feels like we're wearing rose-tinted glasses until the very end of the MV where we see the first panicked look on her face, HOWEVER, I don't believe she deserved a guilty verdict whatsoever. I think she was probably a manipulative and gaslighting sort of person because the implication seems to be that the boyfriend committed suicide due to the pressures of being Mahiru's boyfriend? It just felt like something we needed more context for. Either way I'm very sorry for how her guilty verdict affected her afterwards :(
Kazui had one of the better songs, I enjoyed his a lot. I don't have an insane amount to say about Kazui, but it seems like he was chosen by Milgram because he was a flawed communicator who had to suffer the consequence of his wife's death when he failed to emotionally communicate with her? I agree with the "forgiven" verdict until more context is given
I was sick to my stomach when I saw Amane's video. Amane's been doomed to fail this project since the very beginning, regardless of whether you voted her innocent or guilty she's just been so brainwashed by this cult that I don't think changing her mind is possible anymore. As proven with how she's been affected after being convicted guilty, she seems to have dug her heels into the ground about her beliefs due to the abuse she suffered. I don't foresee any happy ending for Amane and I think that's what makes her circumstance the most sickening in my opinion
Mikoto's interesting. From a narrative standpoint I'm happy he was voted guilty because I think his clueless act needed to be put to the test and I was happy when Jackolope confirmed that he does indeed have DID, and honestly it doesn't appear like his guilty verdict affected him very much. This is probably because he firmly believes that he isn't guilty whatsoever, so despite his run-in with Kotoko and his restrictions, he didn't look that much worse for wear.
Similarly to Mu, I also thought Kotoko was very clear-cut a "forgiven" verdict because despite some vigilante similarities she shares with Futa, Kotoko's felt more personable while Futa's was just him being an irresponsible god-complex cyberbully. However after she's beaten up anyone who was convicted guilty, it makes me wonder whether she's more malicious than originally first thought. Similarly to Mu, it seems like Kotoko is waiting for opportunities to justify releasing her pent-up bloodlust on anyone she can get away with brutalizing and so I wouldn't be surprised if she was faced with a guilty verdict this upcoming trial
My Forgiven Verdicts: Yuno, Mu (regretfully), Shidou, Mahiru, Kazui, Amane (debatably), Kotoko (regretfully)
My Guilty Verdicts: Haruka, Futa, Mikoto (regretfully)

I watched all of the videos in the playlist and I want to thank you for making this so accessible. I don't know that I would have been able to engage with it otherwise. But I'm glad that I did, because the premise is fascinating and execution even moreso. I love the variety in the "murders", the interesting moral conundrums presented in each, and the focus on character throughout. I'm especially intrigued by Mu, Mahiru, and Shidou. Kotoko's got my favorite video/song though. So good. It's really cool being in the second trial now as well, and seeing how the interpretations of these characters are already starting to shift. I hope you continue to follow this and do more with it!

Yuno: When I finally connected the dots and realised what crime she did ,it was like the best feeling ever because for first 5 replays I was like 'wha-? stairs? balloons? more stairs? ,I voted her innocent in both trials
Futa: He just slayed in his t2 song (I voted him innocent in t1it but didn't go my way lmao) ,what kotoko did to him is sad but also idk whenever I watch him talk about kotoko in t2 I just can't help but laugh ,my boy is traumatized 😂🥲,I voted him innocent in t2
Muu: So as someone who was bullied once I did kind of sympathise with her and voted her innocent ,trial 2 for some people was very shocking but I kind of saw this one coming ,her character is very complex to understand . Voted her guilty later.
Shidou: My man is gorgeous ,I would vote him innocent even if he did actually kill for bad reasons. Innocent all the way.
Mahiru: She is honestly the most annoying prisoner for me ,a bit too obsessed with love, kind of freaks me out. Do feel bad for what Kotoko did but I personally voted her guilty both times.
Kazui: I swear it pissed me off so much when I saw people voting him guilty for whatever drama that happened . I voted him innocent everyday . In t1 I was a bit reluctant to vote him innocent but t2 ,hell na . By baby deserves his rights. Also his voice is most asmr material.
Amane: SHE IS SCARY, SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME. I voted her innocent in t1 but people had different views. Though in t2 I voted her guilty. I don't think there is any chance for her to calm down. My girl hates Shidou to death and Shidou wanted a child to judge his sins (although idk if t2 voting him innocent will help but I feel like Amane could actually hurt him and he will accept it as his punishment). Also this was also a trial I watched for days to finally understand what was going on.
Mikoto: Now maybe because I've read a lot of DID related manga and stuff ,I never suspected him of lying. But still for him idk ,I'm confused about few things. If we take that John really was the one who killed then I will vote him innocent. But then a part of me says what if John is covering up for Mikoto? Idk I'm confued but I did vote him innocent both times.
Kotoko: I voted her innocent in t1 and am currently one of those 20% something people who are voting her innocent even in t2. To me she just needs to chill and what she did was not her mistake but the mistake of the viewers. Its also funny how we are judging and technically punishing prisoners and really hating so much on her. I don't think she will be voted innocent and I am ready to pay for her therapy later. (people might hate me for this one)

Thanks for introducing me to the project! I just finished the latest video (Yuno's 2nd song). I like how original the concept is, and the audio dramas were very interesting. I guess the only problem is that it reminds me of how I'm not very bright every time I realize how many things went over my head in each song. The songs aren't my type of music, but I actually liked some of them. And the 2nd trial announcement made everything a lot more interesting. Too bad I can't vote because I have no twitter.

Oh oh I'm glad you did that video weeby because that sounds fascinating! Now, I literally just discovered it through you but one thing that stands out to me is simply the title, that feels like a straightforward and obvious reference to the infamous Milgram Experiment. I don't know how much the Milgram Experiment is common knowledge? It seems pretty famous to me but in case, for those who don't know: this experiment was conducted in 1963 where researchers would require volunteers to ask questions to test subjects, and whenever the test subjects would answer wrong an electric shock would be given to them by the person asking questions, the intensity of shock growing crescendo the more they answered wrong.
However, the "test subjects" were actors and the shocks fake, something the people asking questions were not aware of. The real individuals being tested and studied were the volunteers, especially how they reacted to authority, the researchers near them always insisting for them to continue to give shocks, no matter how intense, and to the actors pleading and asking for the experiment to stop. Another factor studied was when/if the participants ever stopped or refused to comply. The majority, even if remorseful, stayed until the end, going as far as administrating shocks that would have proved extremely dangerous if real.
But the whole prison setting reminds me of another experiment, rather similar to that of Milgram's: the Stanford Prison Experiment. This one is even more sickening. Taking place in 1971, students volunteered to a social experiment where some of them would play the guards, and others would play the prisoners. It took only two days for the prison guards to start displaying sadistic behavior, abusing the "inmates" and creating discord among them by rewarding the "good" ones and punishing the "bad ones". In just a week, a cruel violent hierarchy had been installed. It sounds insane to think all of them were just college students a week prior.
It feels important to add that both of these experiments have been heavily criticized for the way it manipulated its participants in the first case, and failed to protect them in the second. Plus an interesting critic I saw is that the advertisement for the Stanford Prison Experiment specified right away roles of prison guards and prisoners, which might have attracted more violent personalities from the get go.
So yeah! That makes me wonder if this thing is really about the prisoners or if it doesn't actually revolve around Es and his own morality, or maybe ours as "participants"?

Honestly I just found out about it after this videos and the songs hit SO HARD! Defiantly have some characters that I adore (No 1, 7 and 10 especially).
Only problem I have is when the majority vote one way when you yourself would choose another (won’t spoil season 1 but there is two specific character that I would not have seen as guilty atm).
