That was a no brainer, should easily have been on…
Facts even as Man United fan I agree with you.
I'm gonna argue that all those 9-0 results are equally shocking, cause scoring 9 in one game is nuts, especially in a game with two teams who are kind of equal
So that would be: 25th oct 2020 leicester 9-0 southampton and liverpool 9-0 bournmouth and a few moŕe

Acting as if you're above it and don't celebrate your team's dodgy wins is one of the most embarrassing stances I have ever witnessed somebody try and represent. Genuinely, never seen a more pompous, arrogant take in my entire life.
That was 3 years ago, still bitter!?
@timmasters1195 I for one didn't celebrate,I don't care enough about arsenal to worry about what they do,so I agree with you,but I can only speak for myself!! And even that was last season, nice to see people don't hold grudges!!!

Stuff if dreams for both teams
Started their rise to where they are now? How on earth have you come to that conclusion 😂
@ yeh, Liverpool are too if the league and have won loads of trophy’s dice then. And for Bradford that goal kept them in the premier league, it’s not rocket since to understand 🤷♀️😂
@Gorgegirl-p5g Liverpool spent another 15 years at least being mediocre after this result 😂 it is rocket science trying to understand how you've managed to convince yourself a loss to Bradford somehow helped Liverpool win a title 18 years later. No it ain’t it’s 9 0
The biggest shocks would be one of the top team who were also in form, losing to one of the bottom teams, who were struggling.
Norwich beating man city was definitely one of the biggest shocks. Wolves beating Man Utd in 2003 was another one, or Ipswich beating them in 1995, just a few months after losing 9-0 to them.
the one editing this really dislikes Liverpool, don't they?
That Burnley win against Liverpool FC will always be the biggest shock in PL’s history because this Liverpool team was unbeaten for a long, long time at anfield, and to come to their home and beat them by 1-0 is an unbelievable and actually an unforgettable score line in football’s history…
Bradford V Liverpool 2000 was not a shock result, we lost to teams like that all the time. Up until Klopp came it was a hallmark of Liverpool teams to beat the United’s and Arsenal’s et al but then completely crap the bad against the Bradfords and the Charltons the following week…it’s why we never won a title.
It’s the same reason Spurs aren’t competitive at the very top at the moment. Lost last round vs Ipswich, but you can bet they’ll put in an inspired performance vs City this weekend 😅
@ I sure do hope so.
It was indeed a huge shock because Liverpool only needed to match Leeds' result at West Ham to secure a Champions League spot, and Bradford needed to outdo Wimbledon's result at Southampton to avoid relegation. Providing context, Liverpool, in their first full season solely under Gerrard Houllier after the unsuccessful joint management with Roy Evans, had rebuilt the team. Future legends like Stephane Henchoz from relegated Blackburn, Vladimir Smicer from Willem II, Dietmar Hamann from Newcastle, and Sami Hyypia from Lens joined, along with new goalkeeper Sander Westerveld from Vitesse Arnhem. Departures included Paul Ince, Steve McManaman, Karl-Heinz Riedle, Oyvind Leonhardsen, and David James. Liverpool improved significantly, but a five-game winless streak at the end of the season dashed their Champions League aspirations, as only the top three teams qualified at that time, unlike today's top four. They were fortunate to draw in the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park after Everton's Don Hutchison's stoppage-time goal, a deflection from a Sander Westerveld free-kick, was disallowed because referee Graham Poll had blown for full time while the ball was in the air. Subsequent losses away at Chelsea, at home to Leicester, points dropped at home to Southampton, and then the defeat to Bradford allowed Leeds to claim third place and the final Champions League spot, while Bradford stayed up as Wimbledon lost 2-0 at The Dell to Glenn Hoddle's Saints.
I wasnt old enough football to be watching football then but I remember hearing about that game and reading it in magazines more than five years later
The Boro win was the most incredible of them all.
Watford beating Liverpool is probably the biggest win in premier league history. A relegated side comfortably beat probably the best team in premier league history

That Liverpool 1-0 defeat to Bradford hit hard. In 2002 Liverpool had a great start to the 02/03 season, gaining over 30 points in 11 or 12 matches, no defeats. And then the fixture at Riverside came and Liverpool lost 1-0 to Middlesbrough, then came Fulham, Charlton and that 2-1 defeat to United at Anfield, with Dudek's terrible error helping Forlan score a brace. In short, after Riverside loss Liverpool could not win a league fixture for over two months

Spurs losing to Ipswich shocked nobody. 🤷♂️
Needs a part two with Spurs 6-2 leicester. Liverpool 7-0 United and also the two 9-0 deserve to feature and many other games

@aaaabbbb2483 To be fair, most, if not all premier league teams have played in the 2nd division before, even Man United and Liverpool.
I’d really 8-2 be an Arsenal fan on that night
Surely our loss to Hull in 2008 is up there
The loss was almost exactly a year after Hull conceded a winner to Francis Jeffers for his first Wednesday goal to get them off nil points at the 8th time of asking, and we had only ever lost once in the league at The Emirates Stadium, and led early in the second half, when Geovanni scored a genuine stunner for the top-flight first timers and Cousin’s corner header gave them an all-time shock win,
This should have been one of the first games on this reel. It was the 1st time that Arsenal had been beaten in the Premier League at the Emirates.
@ West Ham somehow did that first in April 2007 because Rob Green suddenly played like a megastar. And yet he couldn’t replicate it for England
@@elaychscrazyworld4173 I stand corrected, I thought the the West Ham win was in the FA Cup. Thanks for the info 😊

8-2 Was the beginning of the End for Wenger. I remember Arsenal fans were calling him out for years but watching this neutral it was clear to see Arsne had lost his killer instinct and he became as a manager fallible. Defeats for city before like 2011 are not really considered a "shock" because they were not a "big team"
@@bynamscott5564 pre 2007 definitely not, we were average/below average at best. From 07/08 onwards though we were decent. The Fulham one was a shock that season more so because Fulham looked bang on for relegation, so to pull it back from 2-0 down away from home was a great result for them and an awful one for us. The Middlesbrough one is the more infamous as a City fan, but the whole squad had downed tools in protest because Sven was leaving. Saying no City results pre 2011 are considered “shock” results is just lazy.

One was a drubbing, and the other was just completely unlikely and saved Fulham’s season. Also, for the record, I have Serbian in my name as a joke about those stupid compare the market ads in the UK when I was growing up. Sorry you wasted your time with a smartarse remark, I’m sure it was witty and cutting and would’ve left me completely floored.

Back in the early 2000's Bolton beat Man Utd back to back at Old Trafford 2-1 and 1-0 with Kevin Nolan scoring in both, we also had many a good wins over Arsenal when we were a bit of a bogey side, Stelios loved it vs them in particular, perhaps ln a part 2?
