There seems to be a negative stereotype that Americans (and other nationalities) have against the Middle East/South Asia - specifically in regards to AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN and IRAQ.
And I was eagerly curious to see if it's true the other way around.
So over the last month, as I've traveled deeply into these 3 countries - I interviewed 14 random people on the street and asked them, "What are your honest thoughts about America?"
I think you will be surprised by their answers.
Truth be told, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraqi Kurdistan have some of the most humble and hospitable people I've ever met, and it's about time that we chance our perception of these places!! Share this video if you agree.

The majority of Iraqis do not like the American government, but this referendum in Kurdistan is a region within northern Iraq, but the Kurds in Kurdistan are seeking to divide Iraq and establish a state for them, and America and Israel encourage and support the Kurds, so the Kurds love America and Israel

tcsharrett I am American born and raised, most people I talk to here have a negative view of countries like Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, etc. without having been there. I'm not stereotyping, it's a fact. Sure, there are a few I might run into that are open minded, but the vast majority believe that Cuba and Venezuela are bad.

Their answers were amazing. There was no hatred on their faces. But the media often makes their faces creepy, even though they are good people. So beautiful is life without hatred. They look happy and enjoy life with simplicity.
I have co-workers from Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Jordan. I love talking to them and learning about their culture. I was lucky enough to be invited to dinner at my friend Nia's home (she's from Pakistan) - one of the best evenings of my life.

@Joshua Salem I’m afghan American. You would think there are a lot of bad experiences because of where I’m from, but actually no. I tell people where I am from with pride and they are more curious than anything. My mom wears hijab and has a scarf of Afghanistan flag. She wears it out a lot and gets a lot of compliments from it. My Mom meets a lot of veterans that were stationed in Afghanistan, they always ask for afghan food lol. Of course there will always be prejudiced people, but that’s because they have only known my culture through a screen. Greeting people with love and offering food always does the trick 😂. I love the USA and the people are great. You won’t get the same opportunities anywhere else. The US government may have done my country wrong, but people aren’t their government. Afghans in Afghanistan don’t blame anybody for the state of their country. They are just fighting off the Taliban hoping to rebuild their country.

This was really eye opening for me! The Pakistani people in particular seemed incredibly friendly and gave very thoughtful answers. Definitely a country that I now hope I can one day visit

Yes, I as a Pakistani can confirm this. Because of the British occupation 70 years ago, almost all of Pakistan can speak English and in major cities, we have almost 80% literacy rate
Unfortunately literacy rates aren’t the highest but having travelled around Pakistan, most people are super smart it’s mind blowing even to me being a Pakistani from the UK 😂

@@exodusarcadia934 as i said, im a pashtun. My language is very different from what people speak in india. Similarly our food isn't very similar at all because our diet revolves mainly around meat, especially beef. India on the other hand is mostly vegetarian. Also, our streets don't look like indian streets for the very simple fact that we don't defecate on them unlike indians.
