      That sounds like a fantastic trip! New Zealand is a wonderful destination, and hosting a Taekwondo competition for those with special needs is truly inspiring. Here are a few tips to help you plan your trip:
      Accommodation: Look for accessible accommodation options that cater to special needs. Many hotels and motels in New Zealand offer accessible rooms.
      Transportation: Consider renting a vehicle that accommodates special needs, such as wheelchair-accessible vans. Companies like Mobility Rentals and Sales or Freedom Mobility specialize in such rentals.
      Facilities: Check with the competition venue about their facilities and accessibility options to ensure they meet your requirements.
      Travel Insurance: Make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical needs and any specific requirements for the special needs of your group.
      Plan Activities: New Zealand has many accessible attractions, so plan some fun activities for your group to enjoy outside of the competition.

    Hello from Sweden!
    Id love if you could go more into detail on the tenting part of camping. Like, can I put up my tent anywhere? On the campsites that says "only self-contained vehicle" can tent there? Along the Great walks, can I put up my tent instead of renting the hut as suggested?
    I'm going to NZ for the first time in 4 weeks and I struggle to get good information about tenting, feels like everyone say different things.
    I was planning on tenting most of my stay, depending on weather and such.
    Thanks for a great channel guys!

      Also to add, like camping gear, thinking mostly about my "storm kitchen" as we call it in Sweden. Allows me to cook food while im out tenting. Am I allowed to use the one with open flame? (I use a liquid that burns out, called T-röd, not sure how to translate that!) Or is it them gas ones that are allowed? What can I use in NZ instead of "T-röd" (The liquid that burns out)?

    • @NZPocketGuide
      @NZPocketGuide  6 років тому

      Wow that's a lot of questions :) You can only tent in proper camping sites that accept non self-contained. As per the great walks you will only be able to camp in designated camp sites if available, you can check our site for much more info about that. We'll add a "tenting guide" to the list of new articles coming-up, thank you so so much for the suggestion! You rock!

    • @NZPocketGuide
      @NZPocketGuide  6 років тому

      I am not sure what a T-rod is, we usually use the huts which have cooking facilities. When camping is available quite often the campers actually use the facilities of the hut :)

    Hello, is there like a hall of residence type but not only for students accomodation in there? It's like a hotel but with a common kitchen, common bathroom, common lounge stuffs, but with separate individual rooms and not bunk beds for long term.

    • @NZPocketGuide

      Ozzies can go in NZ and work under a different agreement than a working holiday visa. It is a much simpler process. Just contact immigration New Zealand and they'll have all the info you need for you ;)

    Not true guide, hostels and Bnb very dear and motel and Holliday park cheaper

      Thanks for the constructive criticism. From our experience, hostels are always the cheapest option if you go for a dorm, but as mentioned in the video, motels can be a great options when compared to private rooms. Thanks for watching!
