In one of your recent vlogs (I think the packing one) Chris casually mentioned he makes custom magnets for each trip. Do you have a video showing how you do that? I’m so intrigued! We are taking our kids (aged 2 and 4 at sailing) on their first cruise (Harmony of the Seas) in Fall 2025! I think they would love putting special magnets on our door.
I live 5 miles away from the space center visitors center so we see launches all the time (most of the time I just ignore it even though it shakes the house) but it would be cool to see it from a cruise ship. When my parents and I went on the Wish one of the Falcon boosters was docked at the port after landing at sea and waiting to be taken back to get reused
Love the avocado toast and the waffle bar in the Windjammer. That launch was amazing. When I was last in the Orlando, 1991 when I was a child there was supposed to be a launch when we went to Kennedy Space Center but it got delayed so much, we were back in Australia by the time the launch happened. We’ve been inspired by your family, we’ve now booked a mini suite for Anthem of the Seas for my birthday in 2 years. Only 3 nights but we’re going to try and keep the suite bit a surprise for our kids (well they’ll both be teens by the time we go). Love Carrie’s optimism about the shore excursion 😂 gotta love not being eaten by an alligator
Oh, I’ve (Chris) gator! Alyssa had some too one time. My friends, and I barbecued some years ago. It was like this weird combination of chicken and fish taste to it 😂
That sounds so fun! Anthem looks like a great ship! A note that if you booked a jr suite, those don’t come with all the suite perks we had with our grand suite. The suite needs to be sky or star class to have unlimited access to the lounge or any spaces for suite guests.
I heard that RC ovation of the Seas will be sailing out of California starting in June 2025, so maybe we’ll finally get the chance to sail RC for the first time. We already have vacation plans for 2025, so maybe 2026.
Navigator of the Seas has been sailing out of Long Beach/LA for a number of years and I believe Ovation will be either another ship on the west coast or will replace Navigator. Not sure yet. Hope you guys get to try it!
Another great video from the Millers, I’m playing catch up as I just got back from Tampa took a quick 5 day cruise on Granduer of the Seas. Royal goes all out I love their ships. Chris I had the exact same dry erase board on our door n on our first day we ask the same question we got some great answers. We also did the main dining room n I had the prime rib it was great. I live in Fl I’m a big DISNEY girl. I go to Orlando n parks a lot. You can love DCL & be Loyal to Royal, lol. Look forward to next video. Ps our cruise took us to Cozumel love it there!!! Can’t wait to go back
Again, lote of fun! We got to see a launch while waiting to board the Fantasy. It was fun to get a picture with the rocket in the background above the funnels and the kids in the foreground.
I am loving this series! That buttered chicken looked delicious. As you know we sail concierge on Disney. It would be hard to go back after doing that. One thing that we love about it is that we have made many good friends in the concierge lounge that we now plan cruises with! Of course we enjoy the other perks too….especially with crowd anxiety, it is a nice escape to go to the lounge. We look forward to trying other lines soon too!
It was very good! It will be hard to not sail as suite guests on Royal, but depending on an itinerary (Alaska?), we could see sailing as non suite and putting more toward excursions!
Having cruised both DCL and RCL, as someone with a food allergy, Disney dining is far superior. The Mexican night on Royal is one of their better nights. We appreciate both lines but Disney is the better cruiseline but you absolutely pay for it.
Yes you do pay for it 😂 We’re glad we have 2 cruise lines we really enjoy! I’m sure they have other less good night, but we have those on DCL (pirate night, enchanted garden menu…) I think for us, enjoying food that was new or not the same that we’ve always had on a lot of our DCL cruises was a fun change & experience. We love the food on DCL, but some of the menus get old after having them a lot.
Come visit me next time, I can find you a gator at the local park lol. If you are ever in Orlando with time to kill on a weekend checkout apopka wildlife drive…its just a dirt road along a canal/lake and there are a bunch of gators hanging out there, you’ll also see some other wildlife like different birds
@@AdventuresinMillerland lol its a legit place, you can look it up 😂😂 a bunch of people bike it and some drive. My delivery was probably the sketchy part
So funny how excited you all were to hopefully see an alligator 😂 we live on a lake in Central Florida and see people stop their cars all the time to see the gators sun bathing by the lake. I’m really enjoying this series. Keep up the great videos!
@@AdventuresinMillerland All ten of us, ages 3 to 73 had a wonderful time. I'll let our sons know about your videos. Something to consider for future cruises is to book connecting cabins. This worked out well for our kids. We loved it so much my husband and I are going again at the end of Sept. Normally we cruise on Celebrity but we were very impressed with Royal.
Was this the July 26 to August 2 cruise. Didn't know the rocket launch Did you hear the fighter jets zoom over us I think on day 2 or 3 near the Carolina's. Was a great cruise
How did you like the itinerary? I’m apprehensive because of the strange times in the ports. Seems like you can’t do much. Looking at July 2025. We love DCL but being able to drive to the port is huge. Thank you 🚢⚓️
We enjoyed it, but we would’ve preferred something more like Bermuda or something that went down to the Caribbean. Since it was from New York, that’s why we didn’t go any more south. I don’t know why we got into the ports so late. This itinerary was more about just experiencing a cruise on Royal and visiting Coco Cay for us.
Thanks! I don’t know why Royal has such strange times. We did cape liberty (older ship Liberty of the seas) last summer and our stop in Bermuda was really just a few hours. Only looking at this itinerary for larger ship and not having to fly (save $). We have been on 2 Disney cruises and it’s our favorite but we are a family of 6 and they are pricing us out 😢 We liked Royal but our biggest complaint about Royal is not getting full days at port.
@ew2772 I think that’s why it’s so important to know as much about the itinerary before you pay your deposit for the cruise. It didn’t impact us that much knowing that we were more excited about the ship than the destinations, but if the destinations are important, its good to know what to expect as far as scheduling at the ports!
How does cell reception work on the cruise? Your family always goes their separate ways and I’m assuming you check in and meet up using your phones? Or is it like the ‘90s when you had to meet at a certain statue in a certain hallway between 10 and 10:05?
our rule is have fun, don’t do anything stupid, and if we don’t see each other till dinner, that’s OK. Most days we do connect with each other, but it’s spur of the moment and not too planned out. That’s just how we cruise - we want to give our girls some freedom. They’ve learned that trust 😊 You don’t get cell reception on a cruise ship. It helped that we had Internet included with our suite package. Both Disney and Royal offer the ability to message each other through the app without paying for Internet, so that’s great!

I don’t (this is Chris). We should make a video about that though!
Great vlog. Bummer about having to cut your time in Port Canaveral short but I suspect you'll be back. ;)
Yeah, but we still enjoyed it! And you’re not wrong 😂
Love rocket launches. We were blessed to see a SpaceX rocket launch last March from the aft of the Disney Fantasy. Super cool.
So fun!
What an amazing experience! I hope I am lucky enough to see a launch some day.
Hope you get to see one in person!

That would be crazy to see them all the time and feel the rumble of them!
Absolutely love butter chicken! Can't wait to try it on royal!
It's good! Lyndsey sure loved it 😀
My granddaughter turned 7 last October and asked for a rack of lamb dinner for her birthday. She loves it 😊
Hope it’s just as good on the Treasure!
Cool rocket launch! I love Risotto. None of the Italian restaurants where I live serve it. Thank God my Nona taught me how to make it.
It was all so amazing!
Love the avocado toast and the waffle bar in the Windjammer.

Definitely gotta love not being eaten by a gator. However, you should try eating some gator yourself.

My very first cruise was with royal and we had gotten to see a shuttle take off… it was so amazing
So fun! Glad you got to see that!
😊😊😊You definitely have the best cruise vlogs. I love all the detail, time, and work that you put into these and your family vibe is so fun!
🥰 Thank you!
The suite lounge sounds like it makes it worth the money for the splurge.
It was one of our favorite perks!
Wow how exciting 😮🎉

Try Bombay potatoes, tandoori chicken, poppadoms, Korma etc.
When we go to a local Indian restaurant, we’ll have to try those! Carrie and I love tandoori chicken!!!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for sharing.
Our pleasure 😊

When you don’t live near something and see it regularly, it is exciting. I’m sure you see them all the time though 😊
After seeing the rocket launch, I think our family may have been on the same cruise! We boarded on June 21.
Yep! This was the June 21 cruise out of NY/NJ! Hope y’all had a great time 😀

Seeing with the moz sticks how much Aliysa (sorry if i spelled her name wrong) hates cheese, I don't think she would want to visit Wisconsin.
You never know. I’m sure there’s more to Wisconsin than the cheese!
@AdventuresinMillerland There is lots of farms but there is really good ice cream aswell.
