Can ypu use normal Americana white paint or do you have to use the plaster chalk paint?
Absolutely- I just used what I had on hand at the time. 💕
You used acylic paint, crackle paint then regular chalk paint?
yes -- only because it's what I had on hand.

plaster chalk paint (but acrylic would work too)

What kind of paint is the black, please?
black acylic paint - nothing special. Just black paint you can buy at walmart or the craft stores. I use Americana but Apple Barrel, Ceramacoat or Folk Art works great too.
