Part of the problem for the troops is you shouldn't put the men *in* the choke point - you put them behind the choke point so the enemy numbers that can reach you are small (they are funneled into your firepower across a smaller space allowing greater concentration of fire. They way you have them now in the openings allows the edges to be swarmed. Also, put heavy weapons (Tanks) behind the troops rather than the center, and get some stronger ranged weapons for overwatch on the ramparts.
I wondered that, but also thought if you do that then once enough zombies die then they'll make a wall and the defenders won't have line of sight til they're really close.
@@centerfield6339 The wall of corpses will creep towards the defenders, slowly, over time.
What happens when the initial wall of corpses piles up is the defenders are forced to focus their fire on the zombies that crest the corpse wall, generally killing them faster.
Meaning it's a good thing in the short run.
However due to the progressive creep of the corpse pile the zombies will have less casualties due to the obstruction.
Eventually, if there are enough zombies, they will reach the defence line.
However, if the line isn't static and can fallback as they shoot the defenders will eventually be completely surrounded and over run.
man, if there'd been a few more tanks, and the tanks had been more evenly spread out, I think team Modern would've had it.
I think part of the problem is that the way you're arranging the soldiers with the chokepoints means they're at the mouth of the chokepoints, not behind them where the funnel effect is greatest and the chokepoint most useful, meaning the zombies swarm inside as they can attack from all angles
Yall keep saying “a few more tanks”
Hell, I think if there would’ve been ONE tank set on “hold” in front of one of the entrances to keep the zombies preoccupied while the soldiers fire away, they might’ve pulled it off.
(Whenever there are lines of tanks in front of lines of range units, the zombies normally end up spending a whole lot of time trying to claw at the tanks.)
Yes!
Honestly 5 or 10 more tanks might actually pull this off
FYI, choke points work better if you’re not in them. Place the soldiers inside the wall boundaries so the zombies get forced into the choke points so they cannot get to the defenders as easily.
A few more tanks, more evenly spread out, and if the zombies started further back (letting them spread out as they approached the modern soldiers), I think they could have turned the tide.
Yo, Monsieur Daley! How's about trolls, modern soldiers and maybe some tanks defending together vs 8 million zombies? That should be epic ...
Put the tanks in front of the troops, use tanks to fill gaps in walls
I'll never understand hiding your tanks behind soldiers. The soldiers need to hide behind tanks.
Makes it too unfair with battle simulator tactics
I agree!
I noticed in a lot of your videos you don't use tanks as front line units with soldiers backing them up.
Love ur vids cheers me up when i get home from school
I think if the modern soldiers were modeled with fully automatic weapons rather than burst fire M4A1’s the outcome would be much different
the M4A1 is actually full auto, the M4 was burst fire since it did use a lot of m16A2 lower receivers
@@Elzimbabwe. Other way around. You can confirm this even on Wikipedia. The M4 has a safe/semi/3-round burst selector and the M4A1 has safe/semi/full auto selector.
@@RedneckRapture what? that's what I said, read again. Your first comment said the M4A1 is burst fire and I said it's false, the M4 was the one burst fire and the M4A1 is in fact the full auto variant.
@@Elzimbabwe. Oh, I see what you mean. I had meant the M4A1's used in the game are burst fire.
If the modern soldiers had flanking re-enforcements, they would have won.
I love guard mode, it looks like they’re actual players
Several people have pointed out the folly of having soldiers in the chokepoints. Problem is that unless you start cutting down the zombies further out you can never win. Ultimately the bodies will stack up and the zombies will pour over, tear apart everyone on the ramparts and overwhelm the interior. I would mass tanks inside and near the chokepoints and have cover fire to keep them alive as long as possible. I'd make sure they're stationary so they don't go wandering off. I'd have the ramparts filled with soldiers and enough ranged weapons to contribute the formation of zombie walls out in the distance. On the interior I'd pack every square inch with soldiers who are firing through the choke points. I wouldn't bother with single soldier or tank outside the walls.
The zombies are spawn too close, they are already within range.
why start the zombies so close? why not start them just outside the max range of the defending unit if that numerical disadvantage exists to truly see the balance
The zombies running around remind me of fire ants.
Bro these videos are cool! Could you do another episode of army men civil war? Anyways ahve a good day!
Your are the best at making epic battle and that stuff keep going daily!
Eh they aren't epic there just the same old thing over and over again other uebs UA-camrs are a lot more creative and don't do the same thing over and over again also you don't need millions of units to make a battle entertaining all the numbers do is force more annoying cuts and timelapses honestly Daley needs to really think of creative and actually entertaining ideas
Mantis shrimp unit has a knock back i think, make a video of millions on shrimp kicking german butt plz
What about a Long Night battle like in GOT? All random medieval units in a castle vs zombies
What about 100,000 modern soldiers with US WW2 shotgunners shermans and US WW2 thompson sub machine gunners vs 10,000,000 Zombies.
Daily do another XCOM everyone wants that
I say draw, still had 2 soldiers left! They may have eventually killed all the zombies!!
Pull the troops inside the walls. As it's set they're in the chokepoint.
Let the Z's fill the chokepoint and build a wall with them.
A little word of advice the next time put eighty thousand twenty first century modern soldier's in a defensive line and put four million modern soldier's behind enemy line's one ☝ million from four directions peace ✌ out
Got an idea:
One supersoldier (upgraded fire rate to negate the burst fire) health and range vs a ton of zombies or trolls or egyptians
Are there any modern tanks available or any other modern equipment (artillery, mortars, rockets)?
Orcs vs Zombies vs Trolls
this number of zombies would be better for the mount olypus.
Please don't divide your tank forces from your infantry. At least 30 soldiers for each thanks side will give you another 5 more minutes and extra 5,000 kills.
And don't let the tanks shut their mouth fuck up! Let them do the job! You know how.
"As the British would say"
No. No we wouldn't.
Great job on the videos! (PS: Gesundheit)
Mix your modern soldiers with shotgunners. Sharp point ammo is not as effective against zombies. If zombie theory is to be believed, you need headshots, so random body shots from a rifle won't be effective. ☝😎
Love you doing so much uploads
You shouldn't place troops in the chokepoint. Just behind the chokepoint.
Dude, when you do timelapse, when you're 10m in the air watching only one of the multiple battle spots and there's a cool breakthrough somewhere else that shift the entire battle it's kinda annoying to sit there watching a meaningless grind. It would be like if a total war youtuber spent all his time on a little spot of the battle, it's just not fun to watch. You have to make the timelapse more from a bird side view, it's also more impressive.
Need to spread the tanks out a bit. Maybe 5 to a corner. But I like the show
why do you always start the zombies so close to the defenders in these videos it ALWAYS gives the defenders a serious disadvantage I didn't even watch the video I just left as soon as I saw how close the zombies were
you didn't miss much since all we get lately is just a jump cut to the end anyways.
Modern army and not-so-modern Shermans..
Can mortar pits help?
You need to move the zombies back. They’re way too close. You put them face to face with the defenders. That’s not a fair fight.
True
right at the end they were glitched in the far corner
pre load a map and see how a battle is going so we don't have to skip half the vid to watch the one we already know is going to be decent... unless you are playing for time then I understand that
I hate that the soldiers don't have a rear sight or an optic on their M4s, it really looks like a rushed model.
8 million zombo’s !! .. had to click this one ..
Daley, what maps do you use for the fortress defenses?
Very good video!
suggest you get a new pc because the lag is bad. but good video
I was wondering, how do you limit the map size?
Can you turn on the other blood option? Attempt 2
Hello
what map is this,i don't remember seeing that
what map is this on ?
Hi daley
Soldiers should be behind holes in walls not in them
Hi Daley
tanks in choke points?
They did have lots of women in spec ops, but come the zombie apocalypse they very sensibly all reported pregnancy.
Can you do some battlefront 2
Do you ever sleep?
Because you post a lot.
Good question
Omg I am the 1.4k person to like this vid
Sherman tanks? Why not Abrams?

First
Not
The timelapses are horrible and ruin these videos. The last two showed nothing and should be edited before posting. The others are always too zoomed in and completely miss most of the turning points in the battles. Stop narrowly focusing on one point for so long.
Hi
