They are good rigs the DMAX, ultra reliable and excellent on fuel consumption. I've got a 5spd manual 2015 LS-U extra cab. Lifted, twin locked on 33" muddies also has snorkel, exhaust and tune. Gets 7.8L/100kms on the hwy and literally goes everywhere patrols and lamdcruisers go
Hey 4wd action, Im a regular buyer and reader of the mag, but how's about showing some real custom trucks instead of the ARB catalogue versions that run out of the stores every other day of the week?
Yes it is a good truck,Isuzu just rocks ,even it's old school trucks like the Isuzu trooper which produces only 90 hp still was better than most 4x4 trucks
You are correct this definitely looks stretched. At full flex it could almost snap. I wonder if anyone knows about this, I imagine it would be common across all lift kits on this model?
Not always, but usually a mix of a little bit of savings + trade in car, alot of finance to get the rest of the way, some help from mum or dad, credit cards and after pay.. or if you see a new 4x4 kitted out it has usually been leased or financed and the buyer literally flicks through an opposite lock/arb/iron man 4x4 catalogue at the dealership and ticks every extra they want. Then the vehicle gets delivered a few weeks later with everything installed after they sign on the dotted line.
A lot of them are 3rd/4th Year apprentices or qualified tradies and probably making $1000-1300 a week, still living at home with parents. so $200-250 a week on car payments is no big deal.
One of the most underrated utes out there
@yusufaustralia I've had a 2012 LST from new, incredible ute, so reliable, i'll never sell it.
I have a 04 ra rodeo and I want to do the exact same thing, start saving for a Dmax. Glad to see I'm not the only one
