My first car in 1978 was a 1969 2.0 gt Ford capri in gold. Great car but very tail happy, found myself travelling down the road backwards after a tight hairpin bend at the end of a long straight ! Very thirsty V4 in mine.
I'll never forget my '72 two liter OHC Capri. It was so much fun to blast around in. Wish I still had it. Kate sounds awesome and looks quick as well. Good job fellas!
Wonderful! I remember your very first video, it's still in my watch later. Something told me that I should keep an eye on this car. Well there she is roaring down the road. We'll done sir. I haven't seen as much of your journey as I'd like but dropped in from time to time to see how things were going. Fantastic. I'm made up for you.
I still remember that optimistic first video, freeing off the engine, levering off the head with a plank, pouring oil down the bores! I remember Kate going for blasting, and she was perched on the back of a trailer. All the way home (in the video) I was thinking is that shot blast finish, or etch primer. It's a far cry, and the wheel is on the correct side now! Look at how far you have come.
Nice! The engine and transmission sound sweet! (I think that bodes really well for a final lovely car)! Well done lads and everyone that has contributed so far !👍👍👍👍👍👍👌
It's SO good to see her out being used how she should be used lol. Especially after a bare bones nut and bolt rebuild. Respect to you Mano. Keeping the Mk1 alive. I'm so jealous lol
Awesome job guys, she sounds great.

In the seventies and eighties I had a mk.1 Capri but it didn't go as quick as this!
good vid thanks lee
Been up and down that road more times than I care to admit. A lot of history in that area too which many don't realise.
No seat belts, looks scarier than the Smiler :) !! Mac Stafford.
