Looking at NIP it appears that they are at a major crossroads for the teams future, without device on the lineup I would have to guess either Esetag or Plopski would have to be on the cutting block, in a scenario where they could pickup someone like nawwk as a replacement for phzy I could see NIP presenting a surprisingly strong Swedish star trio between Brollan nawwk and rez, as a star trio, with Hampus' lurking style and esetag/plopski in a more entry/ supportive role it could be reasonably well rounded and I could see NIP as a semi consistent top 5 contender. With phzy its hard to imagine they would be a top 5 team with any real consistency.
If they keep Device then the prospects for this team would be immediate, as even with Device having reduced in form from the Astralis era, the combination of Device, Brollan and Rez would present a very exciting trio of stars, that I would be happy to see compete against the best, with a consistent top 3 contender surely within reach if not at least a consistent top 5, though I still don't necessarily believe that could be No. 1.
They would be a contender for first tho for sure.
Rez is known to be inconsistent, but on a good day like in iem fall, he can pop the fuck off

Going to Richard's point around 45:00 on, imagine they just grabbed Amanek to replace Kyojin, and picked up maybe one of the Heet guys or shox even stays, but continue on as a French team.
Player for player Amanek does literally everything they were trying to mold kyojin into, but better, and you are inserting a well rounded support player into a support player role, instead of a young aim star pug player, which kyojin shouldnt do and really doesnt deserve, its unfair. It worked with misutaa,, but not twice.
But if shox still leaves, they could try someone like bodyy or lucky, as rifles, both of whom have called on dbl poney/heet and can help there, bodyy played with him back on g2 of course
Vitality did consider picking up 2 of the heat players before they were signed. Djoko for sure and I think the second was afroo
My take on nip not announcing which player is being dropped is that, they haven’t decided yet. I think they are going to work out the roles and how the team works best and then decide between the three riflers (es3tag, plopski, rez).
If brollan wants lots of rez’s spots and rez can’t transition to a more supportive role. Then it makes sense to sell him and keep the others
I deff don't think rez is going to go. Since he is one of the best riflers in sweden and their star player. Then to plopski and es3tag. Sure es3tag is great at support, ancor and they bought him for a large sum. Though plopski is swedish. He talks swedish and is a great friend to brollan. Don't think brollan is going to take his friends spot on a team willingly. Especially when brollan is swedish and swedish courtesy exist. And tbh, i think brollan is going to play more ancor on ct side. Whilst rez and devve will be throwing nades.

I always hear people talk very highly of es3tag, but he’s always been underwhelming when I’ve watched him play. Maybe I’m just catching his worst games, idk.

Hes not a star, hes a just a solid supportive element. He hasnt been incredible in NiP but hes also speaking solely swedish for the first time ever.

He started really poorly, but he is getting better with each game. So i think he is still adapting to culture and language, also new teammates. He will be fine.
@@stewartminges I think part of why he's so well-liked must be intangibles. Team cohesion, nice guy outside of the server, helpful in setting up strats and willing to sacrifice for the team (he has played basically every role, when this was needed/required and made it work).

I've been saying Nikos been shit for so long well before the stats showed it. Before his stats showed how shit he is, U can his team mates stats go down hill first. So it's no surprise.
Honestly I think it was the combination of "The Shot" and getting pummeled at Kato by a lineup with a stand in that has shattered Niko's confidence. I think both of those have gotten in his head making him second guess how he is playing which everyone knows is the easiest way to play poorly.
That just seems like history repeating itself. Who could have seen it come, when you keep pumping as "no 1 in the world" a chocker?
It's so fitting that Niko is in G2, replacing in spirit kennyS in terms of emotional collapse :D

EG only really lost one meaningful bo1 and it was 14-16. Idk why peopleve been judging EG and liquid so harshly so far. Theyve barely played at all and especially liquid has only lost to arguably top 3 teams.

i mean he was putting up 1.60 impact ratings almost every match at the end of 2021 now he's struggling to have normal k/d ratio or impact. "goldfish memory" is retarded, its been almost 4 months into 2022 and NiKo isn't looking as good as he was.
