Think I finally built myself a solid foundation this month looking forward to the next trading,. I started investing with a consultant in October 2021 and currently closing in on a million$. Since my goal is to hit 2 million by 2022, I try much harder to be aggressive plus she has hooked me up with lots of opportunities and real estate deals, so it is working pretty well.

She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care about supervision. I basically follow her trade pattern and haven’t regretted doing so.>

Excellent intro to micro futures; stop loss is the name of the game; we can always debate what percentage of equity to risk, but making sure to get out in time to meet strategic loss limit is key. Thanks for this!

The problem with micros is the same problem with forex. You're under water immediately because micros charge too much per round trip vs what a tick pays. A micro ES pays 1.25 per tick on 1 contract. Your cost for that RT is 1.90 or a little less. They found a new way to rip off traders. Micros are supposed to be 10 percent units. Yeah..on what you make, but not what they charge. If they charged 10 percent, you'd be paying 50 cents per round trip. So if you trade micros, be very careful to enter trades where you aren't scalping for a couple of ticks. You can do that on the emini's all day long and make a ton.
Do the math, 10% monthly whit max 1% risk per session and you let the accumulated interest do the work. 15% is crazy men. 🤪
I have $800 in my TD account but when I try to place a MES trade for 1 contract it rejects because I would be negative like $700

What’s the cost of one micro contract? Been tryna understand futures more. Currently focusing on Options and have some strategies that are successful (at times) and would like to see those relate, if possible to futures. Thanks!
Yes Options/Futures very similar in terms of trade setups if you're trading options on SPY/QQQ. The cost of one micro is $50 in Margin for most brokers with commissions .15-.75

Is it really possible to make a living from day trading only? I achieved the win ration I needed in scalping options. I would love to learn how to day trade futures.
If you can scalp options of SPY/QQQ you can apply that same strategy to trading futures on NQ/ES

i dont know if im stupid or something, maybe because i didnt watch the whole video? But if you have a 500 dollar account how do you buy a stock that is over 12000 dollars?
There are mini and micro contracts which are worth 1/5th and 1/10th of the original's size .
How can i buy the contracts with a 500$ account when the contracts cost more than 500$?

At the beginning of July I started with $450.00 in a futures account and got to $4,000.00 in 2 weeks. Than lost it all.

Thx for the reply. One more question if you dont mind. What is maintenance margin? Isn't that the minimum amount that must be maintained at any given time in your account to trade futures?
I reset my demo account to $500.
I'm just going to spend maybe a year or so repeatedly doing this with the same strategy. If I blow the account then I'll just reset it. Although I know it's not real money, I have a genuine want to win. I'm using mini lot sizes and trying to leverage. When I open a live account I'm most likely going to use micro lots until I'm comfortable. I'm not a very greedy person, but I would consider myself a lil bit of a sore loser. I don't care if it's only a gain or loss of 50 cents, I just want to win more than I lose and I'm not even talking money. It can be a gain of a few pennies for all I care, I just want to win.

This is ridiculous. You should not advise amateur traders to target 20-30% totally account gains on good days and 15% losses on bad days. That’s insane and will end up with newbs blowing up their accounts in a week.
I don't think he is gearing this towards beginners. He's gearing this towards people who have a good idea what they are doing and follow strict rules.
@@reddawn5297 I’ve been trading for six years and now do it full time. I can guarantee you that no experienced traders target those daily returns and losses. Any experienced trader at a good prop desk would laugh their head off at you if you said these were your returns figures on a consistent basis lol.
@@Redsoxman9991actually quit the opposite. Those traders make lots of money in the firm but sometimes they do end up in drawdown. Plus, what else do you expect to do with $500? There is no free lunch

my best day I made 270 points ever. which means ONE contract .. not 10 contracts and making 27 points.
