Guys , it is easy just trade small but go big , trade qqq same day options at proven entry points and times . For example , trade a two legged pullback for a reversal above a range between 1130-12PM ET . I look for trades every day but go in only once a week during 1130-145pm ET , I never go in because I need to ! Remember quality over quantity . I usually make 100-1100 percent at proven entry points . Before when I lacked patience and had constant regret , I lost money . I lost money because I went in when I felt I was missing an opportunity. Remember , trade at proven concepts and times on the chart !!! 😊
I'm just now learning to trail a stop loss, and I agree with trade small but profit big at over about 70% minimum, but keep stop loss small like 30-45% for scalps. Im a year in and finally realizing if I trade my SL's it protects me more and I can have bigger wins. Previously I want take profit at 50-60% to "be safe" but would end up breaking even a lot or end the week in a deficit.

When I started Day Trading in the early 1990s, the fees were $150 to buy, and $150 when you sell. So I needed to make $300 juat to break even. Started with $2k and grew that to $54k in one year.

It is refreshing to see someone speaking to trading futures. Trade stocks,options, penny stocks, dealing PDT, and all the other LIMITATIONS that go with trading stocks make it near impossible to grow a small account. IMHO..Futures affords you the best opportunity to grow your small account. And with the onset of micros, one can develope your method WITHOUT risking all your capital. Once you achieve consistency you begin size up as your method is working and profitable. Position sizing is crucial to growing the small account profitably. Great video, and well done!!!

The candlestick chart was invented back in the 1800's in Japan where the economy was based on futures contracts on rice production, each piece of land was good for a certain amount of rice annually and that was your trading currency. Really interesting to learn about.

A cash non margin account does not fall under the PDT rule. A cash account is not limited to a number of day trades. However, you can only day trade with settled funds.
If you’re using commission is when the pattern day trading rule applies cash accounts are not restricted so use half of your account the other half the following day. Within 2 days your money should be cleared.
I'm surprised how few people mention this and then it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong. I use cash only and haven't heard anything from my broker yet .... Ameritrade.... Ironically I don't even know how to apply for margin and am afraid of doing so!

I have a tiny account, but all I’ve been doing is Dividend stock investing. I really need to find a way to grow faster, but here we are. I am pretty proud of how much it’s grown in the last 3 years I’ve been invested though, even with the trash stock market we’ve been in. I’ve just kept plugging away at it. :)

I’ve been trading for 4 years now. Barely profitable as of last year. If I could go back to when I first started trading I 100% would have NOT wasted my time trying to grow small accounts trading options. I would have jumped straight into a prop firm account. You will most likely lose less money this way for starters. Also it forces you to learn good trading habits. When you finally pass the account a profitable month will easily pay off those losses. Prop firm accounts are the only way to go for anyone who has less than 50k to trade with in my opinion.
Disagree, if you can't grow a small accounts trading options, Why do you think you will do better in a Prop firm. Most of the time when people switch strategy they're not good abiding by there rules when trading or over trading. FIx the problem first before switching.
I see your point but still disagree. I am more profitable not just from a money standpoint but also from a % standpoint point now that I use prop firms. I use the exact same strategy as I have before. The only difference now is that I have to be less reckless to avoid breaking rules which are only rules that are there to protect you not make it more difficult. Most importantly, now that I don’t trade options anymore. I don’t have to worry about large spreads and time decay. I can’t count how many times I’ve had solid green trades that still ended up at break even or even red just because of time decay.
Ive seen it work both ways people , for some reasona friend did way better with prop firms.. maybe because there was hardstop amounts u could lose. If its your own money , you start getting too emotional pressing on full tilt,,,but some people need that and conquere those emotions.. i dont know but over time you start seeing your strengths and weeknesses. MIne was short term TEMPTATION with scoring big on 0dte and earning calls. Less than 50/50 win rate ,, longer term ( indexez a few weeks to a few months and invidual stocks - a few months had a 95% win rate. Line in the big short ,, when burry said, " im just eaRly, but not wrong" well on shorter tume frames, that was me.
The only thing I learned from paper trading was that I'm way more willing to take risks when it isn't real money. My heart doesn't get pumping when paper trading either. It's not the same, and it didn't really do much for me.
You have to watch Cramer and pay attention to Warren Buffet. You have to also research and learn about the company you're buying stock in. Be smart. Buy when stocks go down, hold when they go up, and reinvest the dividend!

The best is CFD....better than cash account, Options, Futures, so long as the CFD broker gives good leverage like 1:200, offers indices, commodities, forex....and most important is legitimate. Not a bucket shop, here today gone tomorrow. Do any such CFD brokers still exist? And do they accept U.S. customers?

If I only had 1000 dollars, I'd buy a couple of calls or puts, maybe risk 200 tops, and I'd put the rest in xom or just hold the cash. You need capital reserves. Capital draws capital;. The rest is risk management. I like oil. I like Darren Woods. I especially like the old wildcatters. That's more than I normally say.
If I only had 1000 dollars, I wouldn't be trading at all. I would focus on increasing my salary, then put 5k per month into VOO. When the account value hits 100k, I would activate margin and buy undervalued companies that appear to have found a bottom. I swing trade with $469,000 now. I don't even work anymore.
Paper trade at least to learn how to operate the platform. Trading requires patience Paper trading teaches you patience., without knowing how to operate the platform you can/will LOOSE $$.

When the account value hits 100k, I would activate margin and buy undervalued companies that appear to have found a bottom. I swing trade with $469,000 now. I don't even work anymore.
