- Definitely for sure not a bait build. This is my league start plan and the initial idea. I made a pretty detailed POB with notes if you guys want to check it out.

I’ve league started GH Inquisitor in ultimatum and POB’d a berserker one. So glad to see a new Jugg variation with the trauma stacking support :) definitely gonna try this out at some point in 3.22. Thank you!

This looks nicely thought out. I've made some crude pob for a random icicle mine trickster to play in SSF, but I am adding this as a fallback option alongside boneshitter if I reroll.

Glacial Hammer was the first skill I used when i played poe before I realized I bricked it because I was new, got mad and quit for a season. LOL it still hold a special place in my heart I will definatly be keeping track to how how this does

This def gonna be my second build of the league as im going dom blow necro for a starter. I love glacial hammer and im kinda tired of boneshatter and this seems like a best of both worlds kind of thing with trauma support.

So the new trauma supports maces and strike skills I wonder how ancestral protector will interact with it, I mean protectors use your weapon, leech and can chill with mace mastery, I wonder if each of them can get trauma stacks

consider three cold passives on top of elemental mastery ranger side, they give 1 mill damage for 4 passive points

Very cool :) I've seen a similar build idea where they got the "all damage with maces can chill" mace mastery, do you think that's worth it or not really needed?
Thats good for other frostbreath builds but since we use a cold Skill already, its not needed

Jugg with 100% suppression and huge armor + fortify, it'll be tanky :)
Freeze is a huge defensive layer as well.

This is very tempting... Would you still go jugg in softcore ? Or do you think that slayer with kaom's spirit + berserk would be better for example ?

Boneshatter is much safer choice and most likely better, not dependent on unique items, etc etc.
But, lots of people are bored of playing Boneshatter for many leagues in a row and want to try something new.

@@jasonanderson3202 Honestly, they are very similiar. Freeze is a very strong defensive mechanic, but Boneshatter also has strong stuns which isn't that different. Boneshatter is going to have better clear 100%.
Pretty much the perk of going with this build is going to be the fact that you can run Frostbreath mace till the end, which I guess is going to be like 10-50 chaos item on League start, but the price will drop fast.
Boneshatter axes on the other hand can cost like 10-20 divines for a good one.
What league mechanic / atlas tree would you recommend for this build?

Yes, you freeze enemies consistently and can move behind them incase they unfreeze and finish their attack.
Cant belive i am switching my starter one hour before launch. Well boneshatter tho GH is not that much of a change but still
How do you get poacher's mark? the vendors aren't selling it but it's on the PoB
library or act 6 but I would recommend warlord's mark over it for rage

Glacial Hammer never really felt great to play. I might play this for my second build but I'm still going Lightning Arrow for my league start.
On your POB you only have 5 links? Whats the recommended gem for the 6th link?
It's a 6-link. Trauma support isn't in POB so I put it in the config myself.

I would take cArn's starter POB & with how much trauma he deals. I would expect Slayer to even be better tbh.

Not pivital to cap it, but you want reliably enough % so that heatshiver works reliably
What is the first gearing priority (after the uniques for sure) when reaching maps and after hiting max resistances?
Should i focus on spell suppress cap first , more armor on body armor , accuracy cap ?

Should be pretty good at those things, I think you'll freeze metamorphs probably.

Heatshiver is BiS but its not needed to do stuff like watchstones t16 farming if you play trade

It's bait. You can do a lot more damage with a slayer glacial hammer without trauma (50 mil DPS+ is achievable pretty easily).
Very confused on the "adjacent animosity' and "exceptional performance" notables on the tree. I personally would spec more into shield notables and get dawnbreaker for 60% block chance on top of all the other great defensive layers. Also I would get iron reflexes cause there is no use of the 2k evasion you have rather use 1 passive point and get 2000 armor instead. Glad you found a way to be suppress capped though thats good.
Theres no way you're getting 50% shocks on pinnacle or uber bosses with that damage

I'm doing this on chieftain for the lulz. Hopefully like 80 phys to ele will help using the giga res cap from chief. We will see though GG
On ssf this would be a bit rough compared to jugg but on trade you can get plenty of nice physical mitigation options for sustaining the trauma stacks. In the very endgame yoinking the jugg armor node would be huge !

@@swiss7774 I'm going to shoot for fractured acc fire rings and then roll chaos harvest. Then early on I'll try to get a nice atk spd roll on rare gloves with atk speed implicit, then action speed on boots. Obv that will take me a bit but we will see how it turns out!
@@isaal7118 I was thinking that armor node, or the atk/accuracy str node as well for ez precise technique and atk speed boost, but we will see, I'm trying to be flexible.

Hey everyone, goratha's build is really good but remember trauma does much lower self damage than boneshatter making stacking much more important.
In other words, frostbreath will probably be less damage in practice as i don't see that weapon getting you to 40-50 trauma stacks so easily.
Can you upgrade to a frostbeak later on?
I prefer brightbreath

Does anyone know how he maintains 50 Trinity stacks? He has no damage type other than cold so I don't understand that. At 5:19 you can see the buffs he has and he has 0 trinity stacks. I don't know if I am missing something, he missed something or he is just trying to inflate the DPS.
heatshiver adds fire damage, read the notes section in pob

The damage is mostly half if mot even lower of what is shown, you are not always at 50 rage you will never keep all trauma stacks up as melee, you do not freeze bosses with that damage, adrenaline and onslaught is not always up on bosses and neither is leech.
You will have your damage when u need it. U dont need 10 mil dps to map, but at the time u will get to the boss u will have rage, trauma and adrenaline and onslaugt is kept up throught the gloves. Of course it ramps and has the totem-melee-struggle, but for the used gear the damage and defences are really good. Try getting 10 mil dps on another melee build with that investment (other than boneshatter)
but GORATHA, brightbeak is BETTER

hey there. 50 shock, perma 50rage+adrenaline+onslaught+totembuffs and full flask combo in pinancle boss combat? its not realistic sorry
you're right about the flasks, but everything else should be up 90%+
you have no idea how it works seem, everything will be pretty much all the time up, flasks might not but thats not giving you any dmg
traume support is such a bait gem :D the reason Boneshatter is good is the 4% more damage per trauma and gain trauma each hit. But trauma support does not have the more multiplier and you only gain trauma on the first hit on an enemy so single target is going to suck.
No you gain a trauma on every hit... the part about first hit is if you multistrike you only get 1 trauma per attack regardless of how many hits the attack has
Trauma is for Strikes ... so why GH ?
GH is a strike
Its not a bait build, but your PoB settings are a complete clusterfuck. 50% Shock on bosses? 100% freeze on bosses? 50 rage 100% uptime? Some newer folks gonna get confused why they're not doing 10+ million DPS as the PoB says, 2-3 million is much more realistic.
Hey man, you do have some pretty bait settings set in your PoB. You don't have frenzy charges and a 50% shock against bosses, which is like 40% damage of your DPS. It's still a good build, but you shouldn't click those boxes unless they're garaunteed.
mark mastery for frenzies, yoke for shock

@@Goratha The boss will be shocked, but I'm not so sure you will reach 50% shock effect? Not that it matters that much if it's 30% shock or 50% shock. The dmg will still be good on a budget and the build looks solid imo.
