'Prophylaxis drug offers 100% protection against HIV infection'

- A groundbreaking clinical trial by South Africa and Uganda has revealed that a twice-a-year injection of the pre-exposure prophylaxis drug lenacapavir offers 100% complete protection against HIV infection. The study compared the six-month injection to two other daily pill regimens, both also PrEP drugs. Director of the Desmond Tutu HIV Centre at the University of Cape Town Professor.
