Thanks for sharing this! As someone who grew up in a Christian context and then went to a private Christian college before taking the deep dive into Buddhism... I found this to be interesting!
Glad your dad ended up in the black and women's theology, those seemed like my best bets before finding buddhadharma.
If you have a part two, I'd be interested in your dad's perspectives on the problem of evil. (There is an all powerful God, God is Good, there is evil).
Greg Boyd's "Open Theism" was the only perspective that resonated with me in the approach to the problem of evil and free will/determinism

This was really interesting! I'm probably going to watch it again 'cause I had it on in the background while I was doing other stuff, but it was nice to meet your family and see where your thinking comes from, and your dad's thoughts on Christianity captured my attention in ways talk about the religion typically does not. Particularly the part about Jesus being indigenous, I've never heard that before and am definitely gonna have to come back to that.

      Glad you enjoyed.
Volume not loud enough, noise filtering, what was the issue?

If I thought you were going to disparage my root teacher I wouldn't have asked, hehe.
On a side note, many modern orthodox jews do believe in reincarnation.

Interesting, I didn't know that! Why the change in doctrine?
