Boy, this really brings back memories. I should show this to my little nieces!! They'll love it! Thanks for the upload. It'll come in handy since my VHS with this on it might not last much longer.
The memory of two little bear cubs being separated from their mother forever in a strange place was traumatising enough that I still remember this animation and looked for ages to find it. Whoever thought it would make a great fable for small children must have enjoyed watching kids cry. .... Still love it though.
@@thekittenfreakify Sure, but oh boy did that not work at all. What I took away from this as a kid was how horrifying that situation was, the "don't fight, work together" message was overshadowed by it. It makes sense as an adult - fear isn't very effective at teaching children for that exact reason, they're more likely to remember the fear itself than the lesson it came with.
I remember having this on VHS I remember this story was paired with The 3 Little Pigs and The City Mouse and The Country Mouse.
YES!!!
Me too!
I used to watch this as a little girl on video tape so im actually shocked that i found it after 20+ years

Wow my cousin and I always watched this VHS tape at our grandparents in the late 90s in Denmark. Such good memories!

Good on you, thanks for dropping by.
Saw this as a child in Swedish. This must have had quite the spread despite being so obscure.
Important lessons
Wow! I’ve been looking for this and some of the other cartoons that were out on these videos for years. Couldn’t remember the name of the fables.
