- Hi! This is a tour of my dorm room at the University of South Carolina (UofSC)! Specifically, this is a single room in the Honors Residence Hall.
There were not many tours of the HRH at UofSC when I was preparing for move-in day. So, I hope this video is helpful to anyone moving into the dorm.
The room was smaller than I expected, but I quickly grew to love my cozy little dorm : )

this is super helpful, thank you!! i'm also a single sharing with a single (we were roommate matched but couldn't get a double) - is there anything you think we would only need one set of to share? like hand towels or the shower curtain or something? also, would you say the microfridge was worth it?
Thank you! We only needed one shower curtain and one trash can for the bathroom. We also had one set of mats for under the sink, shower, and toilet. There were two racks for the hand towels, so you could each have your own. I thought the micro-fridge was worth it. I used it daily, so I would recommend it! I hope you enjoy your time at UofSC!
I got a single dorm for this year too! The dorm policy said that we cant bring bed risers/lofters in the honors hall. Was that the case for you, or did they allow you to keep your bed how it was in this video? (If so, did you have to bring your own ladder and/or loft kit or did it come with the room?) Thanks :)
Hi! The bed is adjustable. I just moved it to one of the higher levels. So, I did not bring a bed riser/lofter. I brought my own ladder. I hope you have a great year!

Thank you!! I had a relatively early room selection time, so it was pretty easy for me to get a single room. Also, there were more single rooms in the Honors Residence Hall than I expected! Good luck!
How did you get up into your bed? Is there a hidden ladder? You did a great job making efficient use of the space.
Thank you! I had a ladder, I just stored it under the futon.
