Nice content here. I enjoy your clear articulation and continue to learn more about jump rope from you. Now you've won my heart . . ."Actually I gave my mom one of them . . ."
Wow definitely need to try the rhythm rope and had the elite srs plus in my cart for a while. Great list surprise I didn’t see Buddy Lee this time around, but at the same time its great seeing more innovative ropes coming out. Another great video to start the year off JRV!
Hey what's up ! I started jumproping just a few months back , already seeing results and just mastered my double unders recently.. from one of your last top 5 rope videos I ended up getting the buddy Lee's rope master just a week ago. I love it BTW.. just curious on what you rank it now?, sense it's not on your top 5 no more
Nice Video! Great to have some honest feedback. I got the Rhythm Rope shipped over to me in Ireland based on your review some time back and I totally agree. The rope is wicked to use and with the added history of its conception and development it makes it an absolute pleasure to use. Thank you 🙌🏽
Great video. Very happy to have discovered your videos. Love my get lean set from Crossrope as it’s what’s helped me learn jump rope best. What do you think of Velites Earth 2.0 rope set? I like it but prefer Crossrope. Found that I had to change my style when using the earth 2.0 ropes. Still, I like the variety with regards to how you can change the handles (both grip & weight) as well as the ropes. Would be interesting to see an in-depth review of the Earth 2.0 from you.
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you found the channel. I haven't used that rope yet but plan to in the future for a review. Take care and keep getting after it.💪🏾🙏🏾
I just brought Crossrope system on Ebay instantly after getting an ad on Instagram. I was stuck between feeling like I just got GOT and grabbing the deal of a life time because I paid $200 for the complete "Get Strong" set! But I love jump roping, but haven't been able to enjoy it lately cause I get so frustrated that my ropes always get tangled up. I have literally body slammed, and thrown about five jump ropes clean across the room which is even more frustrating because jump rope don't break, bend or make any kind of satisfying noises upon hitting the ground. 😖 Maybe you can relate... I thought maybe my height could be the problem at 6'4" or maybe I'm just out of shape idk. Your review help me realize that I made a good choice I think. How do I know if I have the newest version or the old. They have not arrived yet as I just brought them last nigh and watched you this morning.
Great questions. Sorry you're having issues with the rope. Have you contacted Crossrope? They have excellent customer service. They may be able to advise you. I've never had issues with my Crossrope systems tangling. Hopefully you didn't get a fake if they exist. Don't get discouraged. Keep getting after it. 💪🏽🔥
@@JumpRopeVeteran No no no I was just asking you if I have the newer version or the older one becuase I haven't gotten a chance to really get into using them yet. But I think I have the new ones based on the clicked clackety noises the handle make that you mentioned in ur vid. Thanks
Yo JRV, love the vid, thank you for the info. Have you tried ESRS’ 5mm with core (short) handles? Curious what you think of it as the nylon cord coated with pvc does influence the feel. I’ve been skipping for a few years now, I can’t decide if I prefer the pvc coated pvc’s or ones w/o the nylon core.
Thanks for watching. I have tried that rope. I still use it freqently. I have two reviews for it. Here they are: ua-cam.com/video/Kefbs0dkboM/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/KvoOBJ7AHpg/v-deo.html. It's a decent rope overall. The nylon inside the cord is good in my opinion.
Can't wait to try out the rhythm rope! Quick question; having recently learn the arm wrap,¿ is this rope smooth enough for that particular move? Thanks JRV!
The RR wouldn't be the best option for that trick. You'd want a freestyle rope like the EliteSRS Fit + or the Buddy Lee Rope Master for that. Thank you for watching. 🙏🏾
Great video as always JRV…have been using the #4,#3 and #2 ropes. All are top quality. Only issue with #4 and #3 are the preset sizes they come in and the need to buy a shorter rope as you progress(cost) or tie knots(which doesn’t feel good on a weighted rope 😞) Wish you a great 2022! 👍
Miki, you bet. Both are excellent options for fitness and boxing. If you want two different weighted ropes and handles for $69, get the Bolt. If you want a single rope, a hand-crafted option, a more minimalistic feel, and slightly better performance, go with the Rhythm Rope at $48. They are similar in a lot of ways and both are excellent jump ropes, but I personally prefer the Rhythm Rope overall.
Thanks for your prompt reply. Do you happen to know how much the Rythm Rope's rope weighs? The Bolt ropes weigh 1 oz. and 2 oz., but I can't find anything about the Rythm Rope.
Nice video...how does the rhythm rope perform on crossovers, du crossovers etc? I seem to have the best performance on crossovers with freestyle ropes (I use Crossrope freestyle rope) so curious how the rhythm would be for crossover /freestyle type jumping. Can you tie knots on the rhythm rope?
Dream, great question. Freestyle isn't the RR's strong point. Regarding trick capability, it's basic. Crossovers are doable, Double Under Crossovers aren't for me. That doesn't mean you can do them, but it's mor difficult than with a PVC rope.
Is there a rope that is durable in the cold and on hard surfaces?bought the Rythm rope thinking it would do it but the plastic cracked after not much use
Mob, good question. A way to get a properly sized rope is to measure height plus three feet. For you, that would be an 8ft, 10 inch rope. If I were you, I'd get a 9ft rope. The Rhythm Rope is adjustable so you can always reduce the size. JRTF. 🔥💯🙏🏾
I have noticed on the crossrope you also have the knots. So since you recommend adjusting the rope length by doing the knots, is it okay to do it on the weighted ones as well? Also, if its a weighted rope and I do a set of knots to adjust the length, but it still too long, do I do another set of knots, or what do you recommend ? thanks a lot
Vlad, great question. Everyone has different preferences. The knots work for me on the Get Lean and the Get Strong, but some people don't like them. Experimenting and then ascertaining your preference is key.
Hello, what would you say is the ultimate rope for jumping on concrete? From my research, it seems that a pure PVC or licorice rope is the way to go. However, because I'm not so proficient in the jump rope field, I just find myself researching everyday from one rope to the next without end. I know that many persons like to say, get a mat, and I get it, mats lengthen the lifespan of the rope. However, for now, I'm interested in ropes that can withstand a beating from rough tiles and concrete, and not break after a couple weeks. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
Donna, great question. I think that Crossrope and RXSG are more durable than PVC ropes. They're steel ropes coated in protective material. The Crossrope Get Lean and the RXSG 3.4 oz are good options for what you're pursuing.
Rack, thanks for watching. The best rope for tricks in this video is rope #2. Rope #3 is decent for tricks and it's a weighted rope. The other ropes are good for the most basic tricks like the side swing and the double under. JRTF. 💪🏾

Perhaps a thicker rope, but any rope will degrade more quickly on concrete than on a protective surface.
