I would recommend you drain the battery before starting this repair, as I have found that if I turn my watch off to change the band, I've turned it back on by accidentally pressing the buttons.
@@maroonds1010 you can do hot perfectly waterproof watches without shitty glue. I have a submariner date and I can tell you this tool watch has been serviced many times with only unscrewing the back. Like most other watches, even timex give you the ability to change the battery by yourself. Glue is the cheapest way to go.
agreed. out of curiosity i looked at how much a battery swap thru apple would cost for a series 8. $100. they'd offer $165 for a trade-in...an absolute joke. if we keep paying for these products they will keep doling them out in this fashion. simliar situation with all apple products.
@@distantyahoo apple guys must think more customer rather only their product... If i show my watch 6 to em they say the watch is sealed and battery cant be replaced rather i can trade in!! Hearing to the tradin cost i would rather give to some small kid to safely play as toy rather selling..My fundmental question is why cant they change the battery rather promoting to get a new watch.. People will def buy a new watch its worth rather pushing them forcibly after a point is utter non sense...

Planned obsolescence is harassing. Thoses battery should be replaceable without any glue. They should use screwed back like most watches
so you want a smart watch that is not waterproof?
