I was in the scene when this came out and got see them live which was great. Now it's 2022 and im 32 and wondering where all the time and good tunes went. Best shit right now ive heard is seeyouspacecowboy.
I thought SYSC was the reincarnation of DDG when I heard first heard them, but then I saw them live and now I KNOW they're the reincarnation of DDG. So happy we have someone carrying this sound forward
Seeyouspacecowboy, If I Die First, Static Dress, Octopus Montage and L'exquisite Douleur are all new bands that are kind of bringing back that mid/late 2000's scene or emo style of metalcore/post hardcore.
I still jam this. People think I'm crazy because they hear bad screaming and guys whining like little girls, BUT what they are missing is the beautiful dynamic of everything put together. 1:35
OMG SAME I absolutely hate their screaming because it sounds like they're vomiting but there are certain parts that fit and are put together beautifully
I am 29 and I remember hearing their first album and this was the first song I heard from them. Ever since then I got hooked. Sad they only did a few albums because of his vocals going out. But their music will last forever. Rare for me to like all songs from each album. This was a rare band for me.
How did we both decide to listen to this song within an hour apart. Nearly forgot they existed, luckily got to see them live WAY back in the day. Wondered what ever happened to them.. ah those were the days.
To this day i have only talked to a handful of people who even know about this band, and i will die on the hill that the world was not ready for their genius when they were around, and probably still isn't. RIP Drop Dead, Gorgeous, a band far ahead of their time 🙏 Been jamming these guys since middle school
@@mikexxxmilly I remember going to shows around 08-10 and the scene was still pretty active then, at least in my area it was. I'd say 11-13 is when it really died. By 13 nobody listened to this kind of music anymore.
I like to say I still love this due to hs nostalgia. But I kinda love atrocious screamo vocals. The more uniform metalcore stuff seems a tad to formulaic, while drop dead gorgeous sounds emotional and raw. Not good, just real
Talk about aging well. Something caused me to dive back into their material recently (legit first time in at least a decade) and I'm not mad at all. Just listened to In Vogue in full today and had a blast. Danny's vocals were so intense for this type of metalcore/post-hc at the time and even now. I think I got out of them once the next release with Ross Robinson dropped but hell I ended up listening to that album in full for the first time the other day and concluded this band was really a unique gift to the scene. RIP to the legends.
2020 still showing love for the best damn era of metal core when blue jeans and graphic t’s were all it took and everyone dying their hair black and having it cover one eye. The nostalgia these bands hold is amazing.
This is the raw peak of metalcore music, not all the sellout wannabe breakdown garbage they have these days. Guys like these, FFTL, the old MCR, the old Good Charlotte and stuff were the days we OG's can appreciate. Such a nostalgic, hella throwback.
The only rise I've heard has been the newer stuff, basically starting at the time of Of Mice and Men debut and up. So, after a few months, I got curious and went down Rise's releases page. Found these guys and now I'm here. Gotta say, I'm a fan of this old stuff. Wish rise was still like this with their bands
I've been listening to this since I was 15. I'm almost 25. Great memories. I'm a metalhead since I was 15. Listen to tech death metal and Black Metal more. I miss the early days of Post-Hardcore 😣😟🤘😢🤘. Btw.. 2019/2020 anyone?
So happy you guys are getting back together. I would listen to this album every single day before school. That last track that was like 13 minutes long with a weird part at the end was oh so good.
They formally broke up. The lead singer and the percussionist joined a band called Beach Blonde. The lead singer also joined an electronica project called It's Teeth, which DDG's Twitter now promotes.
were you on crack? how could u possibly listen to either count your blessings or suicide season by BMTH and think this guy was the same vocalist lol both screams and singing is not even close to similar
When FuseTV was all about good music. Just one commercial of the music video promo and I have been hooked ever since. They shouldn't have to nerf this band.
Man I was 16 when I first heard this band and now I'm 31 the years just fly
would u like to be friends??
We are the same
Same, First song that got me into post hardcore/metalcore. Now being 29 makes me feel old
Same :( known of then since i was 12/13. Im 27 now. Years just fly…
3 days away from becoming 33 right here brother.
We all still young at heart!
If anyone is listening in 2019-2020
I appreciate your taste in music
I do
Same to you, sir.

Further proof of my theory that the emo/scene shit has just turned into lgbtq garbage.
@@rarefelineDouleur is now the Requiem and sadly most of their tracks have recently disappeared from Spotify
I'm 23, I listened to this when I was 14. Still jamming 👍
just turned 24 and i am in same boat brother. KEEP JAMMING!
Saw these guys in my teens. 26 now and I still jam it =]

Makes me feel old lol
For real...
This song is 10 years old now. These guys were way ahead of their time.
@skramz kid How so? music like this isnt around now,if so its some trash
Thoticcus Prime music like this is definitely around, minus the clean vocals. Sysc, bloodbather, wristmeetrazor…
@@edgarmoreno1736 Yeah, I made this comment 4 years ago. So yeah, I know the song is 14 years old.
They were actually right in there time. Literally lol
All I know is I was a senior I 2010 and I was on this In like 8 grade way before facebook was for everyone when you needed a college email to sign up
I was so young when i listened to them. Younger me...oh my dear sweet boy...the heartache you would go through in life.
I saw them around 2005 or 2006 in GA and it was so awesome . I miss being in high school and jamming out to these bands . I’m 33 now and feel so old
certified hood classic

+Flylikechris Theyre legitimately the avant garde of scenecore, as far as I'm concerned
+John Hill scenecore? Lol what???
+Justice Ewing Lol???????

2021 & came back to my old MySpace song from 2006. still so amazing 🖤
It's 2020 and this is still the most under appreciated band.

There is no "clean" vocalist. But THE vocalist, Stills, and the drummer, Cooper are in Bleach Blonde. Totally different genre...but worth a listen.
