    I am having some difficulty following you. Could you please show the Kesteral program on the screen and then from where in the Kesteral you are getting these coefficients. Then explain their use.

      Agreed. I was completely lost. It would be better to show the math on screen for us visual learners rather than hear a guy talking about it.

      @@possumpopper89 X-ring has a great video on it. If you generate your ballistics table, you'll see a trend form in how much drop there is incrementally, especially if you look at 25yd steps.
      This makes you ask, if I know the trend, can I use that as a BDC? You will see that it only applies within a certain range though, which is the Speed Drop window.

    I asked someone why I'd ever get a ballistic reticle, and I was sure something like this was possible, but I had no idea it could be so easy. 🤯

    What considerations should we take to determine whether we want to use .1 or .2 mils as our error? He kept saying you can use either one, but not necessarily how to decide. Thanks.

      0.2 gives you a longer max range than 0.1 will. Hope that helps. - Kestrel Team

      @@KestrelBallistics 584m was max range for a .2 error setting if I understood correctly, so that's going to be 11.6cm (~5in) low at max, and 5.8cm (~3in) high midrange, is this correct? And a .1 error setting would get you a little less distance (call it 500 to keep the math nice ;-) ) means you'd be 5cm (~2in) low at max range and ~2.5cm (1in) high midrange (hypothetically) if I'm understanding all this correctly?
      And knowing this, hypothetically you could apply a correction for peak midrange, and as well for max range, to push it out a little further, no?

      You are on the right track. The other, and main reason for different error bounds is the size of your target. How much error can you get away with while still impacting inside of your defined target size. - Colby Hodnett

    You would have to add the speed drop mils back into the solution to use the correct wind dots in tremor3 retical correct? If dialing down to calibrate into a ballistic retical. Make sense to me but might be missing something.

      Once you dial under your 100yd zero to the Speed Drop offset, your reticle just became a BDC within the Speed Drop trajectory range (ex 330-670yds).
      Using your Tremor 3 with your Speed Drop offset dialed under, 330yds would now be 3.3 mils.
      400yds would be 4 mils.
      520yds = 5.2 mils
      670yds= 6.7 mils
      It won't work past 670 or closer than 330.
      If the offset was 1.4 mils, you would need to hold 1.4 mils to hit center at 100yds.

    Very cool. The margin of error for the load I shoot is .01 mils from 500 to 1000 yards. 400 yards is .02 mils high. I would just need to compensate for 300 yards and in. It is an easy way to turn the elevation turrets into a ballistic turret.

    To Confirm Speed Drop works only for your range in meters ? Is that Correct

    With Speed Drop primarily used for rapid engagement, why not remove the quick math by dialing down the speed drop? For example, if I already dialed down 1.4 and my target is 300m, my hold over would be 3. If my target was 450m then my hold would be 4.5.

    I have to admit I’m 100% lost. Not sure of the purpose of this feature - maybe I missed an intro video explaining how this is useful. Definitely need a better setup and some visuals.. Other videos y’all have done are solid. This one...

    Speed Drop method has limit for distance, isn’t it? From my experience, it’s make sense for distance < 450 m, but over 450 this method is not accurate at all

      Correct. There is a distance given for which these values work.

    Good concept and I understand it but your average guy will be lost very quick with this explanation. Needs to be slowed down and explained slower.
