I just want to say that you are my hero! This game is insanely fun, and it seems like you are the only one who agrees! Join me for #forces 2 and #forces love
The best thing about Sonic Forces imo is the fact that the avatar exists. I would love for them to make an appearance in a future game or at least hold the same idea. Sonic has become such an icon and has had such a legendary community I think having a customizable feature is perfect for the franchise. The avatar I think also leads into a lot of the creativity present within IDW, since now that the avatar exists new characters can be added and created without it feeling too weird or odd. IDW also taking place in a post forces world allows for a lot of good world building and elements put into play, like the Wispons! All in all, as terrible as forces was, I think it allows the future of sonic to actually look brighter in a weird way
I know I might be biased but sonic forces was my first boost game. I love going through the levels, listening to the music, and so so much more. It may not be perfect. But its good
Its my first one too (Unless 3DS Sonic Generations counts), It's definitely not the worst game I've played (which funnily enough, is its WiiU predecessor Sonic lost world) but I don't remember having much fun with it beyond trying to mess up the boost. More power to you for liking it but I cannot see it being good beyond the music and perhaps a couple of stages (I remember really liking that river one) Maybe its because I was a bit too old for it, maybe it was Mario Odyssey, maybe it's my own excessive library of 2d platformers, but going through Sonic Forces feels like a cheap, barebones platformer wearing the skin of a concept much greater then it seems capable of achieving (with really short levels that don't feel like they go anywhere, copy paste boss fight design, a weird lack of boss fights at the end of important sections (The Death egg exploding without a boss or an escape level is the standout example, any setpeice would do), copy pasted bonus level design, a poorly toned and contradictory story with key concepts left to minor background visuals and throwaway dialogue, and just overall a feeling of poor quality which just oozes from it in a way Sonic Lost World never manages to achieve (though in Lost World's case it just removes any ironic enjoyment, which Forces at least has)). Also I note again, I dont want to devalue you're enjoyment of Sonic Forces, this is just how i feel about the game a
For me, My feelings with Forces are mixed primarily because this was a game with a lot of potential conceptually. The simple concept of "Eggman finally wins" to celebrate Sonic's 25th Anniversary needed to be executed to near perfection and seeing how they missed so badly, its hard to not feel some type of way towards it. It was a game that could've joined the spotlight of Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey, and in terms of Sonic, could've been the biggest thing to happen to the hedgehog since his inception but they missed. With that said, you highlighted great things, some undeniably great, about Forces and what it managed to do right. Despite its expectations, the argument that "it's the perfect Sonic game for newcomers//A Little Sonic fan's dream game" honestly made me reconsider the way I perceived the title. You've got the characters (excl. Classic Sonic), a short game, the character maker-- so it makes sense for it to be seen that way. Great video as always, and I wish you a fun time tomorrow as we all set out on a new frontier :)
@@Romanode_ I think the whole "Take back the World" theme of the game is similar to the core concepts of the "1993 Sonic the Hedgehog Saturday Morning Animated Television Series" (SatAM), which more or less served as the partial basis of the 2 Sonic Comic Series by Archie Comic Publications and Egmont Fleetway Editions, so I think that those cartoons and comics also served as the inspiration for this game! The Resistance also seems to be partially based on the concept of the Freedom Fighters from both the comics and the SatAM Series they were based off of! (it’s a shame that they never introduced the characters from the archie sonic comics!)
OP I said the same thing when I originally beat the game-that while it was underwhelming, that difficulty-wise it would be a great Sonic game for people who never played a Sonic game before or were usually bad at Sonic games.
@@mattiasolsson1523Sonic 06 is not a bad game, per se. It's a rushed game and the reason people consider it bad is just for 1. the kiss and 2. the bugs, the latter having been fixed with Project 06
If I were to guess why it’s because so many people now treat forces almost like 06 where they won’t accept anything about the game is good. (which I don’t really even care for the game I think it’s just ok) kind of similar to the people who write off p06 because it’s built off sonic 06
I think Shadow Generations takes the ideas from Forces and perfects them. The moveset is alot simpler but still leaves many ways to tackle problems, the cinematic "QTES" and cutscenes are shorter but way cooler and also helps breathe more life in the stages as the death egg robots interact more. The doom sections also show how cool infinite's illusions could have been warping the entire stage. It, like forces, lowers the skill floor, but unlike Forces, keeps the skill ceiling high.
What's interesting is you had the courage to take an alternative take on this game. And akin to what people have done since 2021 about Sonic 06 in about a decade's time; we'll find more fans who will sing this games praises and it'll be attributed to this video well done. I'm proud for having the courage to shine a light on what most people find bad. One's man's trash is another man's treasure
Less "singing its praises" on an "alternate take on the game," and more giving reasons why Forces is definitely awful: Wasting all the good it had even on release.
3:07 fun fact, Eggman built all the post-lost world stuff with the Phantom Ruby, according to the comics. He made all of the fortress and the chemical plant and his giant robots using robots that he created using the Phantom Ruby, which is for example, why Sonic stops dead in his tracked when hitting an enemy rather than Badnik bouncing; they're so durable.
He summoned the very first batch with the Phantom Ruby but he didn't make the rest with it at least he not only using the ruby by itself. If he did then they would've disintegrated into glitchy particles like the phantom clones do when defeated.
@@chrange9714 the comics implied that the glitchy particles were due to Infinite's constructs being produced by someone with a weak mind and Eggman's constructs created by someone with a strong mind. Eggman had the less powerful Ruby, the one from Mania, but the final version given to Infinite allowed him to create more impressive yet less real projections.
@thelookingcat Where in the comics does it imply that lol. And Eggman had to have built at least some of them as the Phantom Ruby is seemingly destroyed after Forces yet he uses a mass produced Death Egg Robot in Frontiers.
@@chrange9714 not the original. The one Infinite has is the final. The Phantom Ruby originated in Mania, which teleported to the 3D sonic world. Eggman picked it up, created Eggmanland on accident, then worked to find more reliable ways to recreate this. After a lot of exp erimentation, he came up with the version Infinite used. That is the version that was destroyed. I can't remember if Eggman built all of it with the original Phantom Ruby at the moment. There was a panel where he willed an entire factory into existence. It had none of that crazy flickering and he gloated about the strength of his mind.
14:36 oh thank GOD this was a universal experience Anyways, THRILLED to see someone shed some light on the music. Only issues I have with it are the classic Sonic tracks and the lack of Fist Bump in the final boss music.
13:12 This is one of my main gripes with Classic Sonic (at least story related) because having Classic Sonic being from a different dimension isn't that crazy after the whole Time Eater and Phantomy Ruby sheningans but they couldn't do anything with it and explore the idea Also I'll give you a good thing about Classic Sonic: his levels actually feel like actual levels and you can gain speed now while rolling now which is nice
Yeah when you go down slopes while running you pick up speed but when you rolled down a slope as a ball you dont pick up speed forces is the total opposite you cant get more speed by going down slopes but going down a slope in a ball does
They could've just said that he's from an alternate timeline. It would've allowed them to release more classic sonic games without messing with the main continuity and they would've completely avoided the retcon, as sonic and eggman knowing about future events is bound to change everything anyway.
16:54 I did used to have an idea for a Sonic villain: Toxin the Scorpion. Sonic's about freedom in life, Eggman's about control, and Toxin... is about ableism and misery. He's a "survivor of the fittest, how dare these nobodies believe themselves worthy of happiness," type of bad guy.
@@Romanode_ Eh. His power set was basically water bending, but poisonous sludge instead of water. His home would be some place called the Forest of Death, where literally everything is hostile. I imagined he'd appear in a game where all the stages are based on hostile aspects of Nature. Green Hill expy? Plants whose surfaces are lined with stomach acid. Desert stage? Ring draining heat. Water stage? Abyssal plain ocean base where the water pressure is lethal, and the airlock just broke. Sky stage? Taking a page from xkcd; high altitude where the winds are so strong that if you fall you risk turning into exciting new forms of matter. Don't really think he's IDW material. At the same time, I don't have a personal Sonic oc. Not particularly drawn to any specific animal, and my favorite color is royal blue, so that's also a problem.
i think it finally clicked to me. forces was before it's time. had a game like this come out in the late 2000'a early 2010s this would have popped off in the sonic fandom. it has the custom sonic oc do not steal, the very melodramatic story, the edgy antagonist, the whole aesthetic, it just reeks of that 2010s era sonic fandom. the time it actually came out, that kind of outlook on the series had long since been phased out, and those fans grew out of it. something i have also noticed, is sega's apathy towards sonic. sonic isnt too popular in japan, which is where these games are being made, but are really popular in the west. because of that, i feel there is just some anger and maybe even slight racism (at worst) towards their target audience, so they just make some slop and "feed it to the Americans" with every sonic game released, it really feels like sonic team wishes they could make literally anything other than a sonic game. its good that they are still in recovery, but the one thing that i think sega and sonic team need more than anything is good directors! all of these ideas, all the failed ones, and the successful ones could have reached their full potential if there was good directors, better vocal direction for the cast, better art direction (to be fair, they do kinda pop off there, i just think it falls flat in regards to continuity with other games), programing direction, and maybe even director direction, and also a guy to punch mr moneybags in the tummy whenever he tries to rush a sonic game to make a quick buck.
The thing I hated about the Avatar is how janky they are to play. For a game focused ENTIRELY on moving fast and speeding through levels, the Avatar has an awful lot of abilities that just flat out halt or slow all of your momentum. The homing attack makes you stall after you hit an enemy and you can't really move again till you land on the ground. The whip thing (which has no explanation as to why they have it btw) could have been like Spiderman, with free-flowing acrobatic swings and jumps, but instead it feels stiff and often times (once again) slows your momentum quite a bit, even if its not as bad as the homing attack. The fact that they still have awkward acceleration like Sonic, but without a double jump (unless you use the bird) and without an air boost just feels off.
@@Cerisekiwi5030 I'm not talking about a "skill issue" though. Even if you play them correctly, the Avatar feels clunky. Its just how they're designed.
13:28 I completely disagree with this. I was 8 or 9 when I played Sonic Forces as one of my first Sonic games, and I thought it was trash. Maybe it was because I was watching Sonic X at around the same time as I got this game and Mania because I’d always look at this game’s story and hate it because it could’ve been like Sonic X. All of the characters could’ve actually done things in the story outside of just telling us that they’re doing things, only to justify not showing them doing stuff by saying they went the wrong way and can’t help. That’s why the Avatar suffers in the story, because he’s supposed to be this kid that has an established power dynamic with the group in his very first cutscene. He’s weaker than the gang we know, but he’s the only one who actually progresses the story while they do nothing, outside of Silver battling Infinite before Sonic shows up. Multiple times we hear that they’re fighting Infinite, (Espio in Avatar’s 1st stage, everyone in the Metropolis Avatar stage) but it’s then ignored because there are no repercussions to these events and nobody cares that they’re fighting the big bad of the game. It’s just used as a point to justify why these characters aren’t there. As a kid, I’d watch cutscenes or other games like the Adventure games and Heroes not only because they’re cool, but because they’re not like Forces. The big fight cutscene is so lazily made, with the characters’ attacks looking as stiff as the gameplay. I saw the huge flaws of this game as a kid, and I think that others would too. But that’s the only thing I disagree with in this video, everything else is right. Especially Classic Sonic, he is terrible in this game
Mmmm interesting, I guess it’s good to know kids can still tell the difference in quality storytelling. I still think little me would’ve gotten something out of it. I actually remember I was around 11ish when forces dropped, not 8 but I remember thinking it looked pretty bad and choosing to get mania instead. I think it would’ve been better if they made a story that anyone can enjoy with proper pacing and engaging cutscenes. Instead of relying on the easiest to please audience, which as you pointed out, might not be as easy to please as I thought.
Its Ok for me, it was my Covid-19 Game along with Sonic Mania, I went back to it a few times, and now, it’s a ok game for me. They should’ve given Classic Sonic his homing attack, like you could when you collected all the red star rings in Sonic Gens
Sonic Forces is quite a specific game... I just played for the first time it this year in September when there was a sale and despite the fact that the game is already 7 years old and I knew everything about this game, I still had fun playing it, I have no idea why but I had a really good time playing it.... apart from Classic Sonic, he is hopeless Oh, and I almost forgot, the modding scene for Forces may not be at the level of Generations from 2011, but it is still amazing to me
I really love the music of Forces (except Classic Sonic's) and i often listen to it when i'm reading the IDW comics it cause it fits really well, i've been especially listening to Arsenal Pyramid when i read the Eggperial City storyline
Dude, I am so glad this video exists. Growing up, I didn’t have any Sonic games and didn’t have gaming friends either. Regardless of how bad I wanted to play the games, it just wasn’t an option for me. I only got to play my first Sonic game this year, and it was Sonic Forces. I absolutely loved it! It was so fun! My souls was somewhat crushed to see so much backlash because I genuinely didn’t think it was that bad. The point of it being a good introduction game is 100% accurate. Anyways, my pint is that I’m glad to see someone defend the game, especially the phenomenal music! Fantastic video!
Sonic Team wanted to make something big and I dont think anything else captures those feelings besides Sunset heights, Fist bump, and Infinites theme song.
not gonna lie bro don’t 🙏🏽😭 I’m mostly playing devil’s advocate in this video, finding the little bit of good in an overall mediocre experience. Save your money for Shadow Generations.
When I first played sonic games, I asked my day before school to buy me a sonic game. Originally, I asked for sonic mania, but it was very expensive at the time, sonic forces were on sale, so my dad bought it for me. I never knew how much hate was towards this game as I would spend every day sitting in my room playing this amazing game. Once I learned how much people hated this game, I got really angry. Knowing that sonic frontiers is basically sonic forces 2.0 and has 0 hate. Meanwhile sonic forces have a lot of hate. They are basically the same game. I really loved the fact you could change your character; I remember screaming in excitement when I unlocked this cool gachet for my character. I loved the music; I would sing along to it every time I got the chance to. Overall 8.5/10 (First boost game)
Yeah I think you summed up the story perfectly. It’s SO good for an 8 or 9 year old who’s getting introduced to Sonic but still a pretty good and simple story for more grown up fans of Sonic. Personally that’s why I loved the story so much. I played Forces when I was like 8 or 9 exactly lol so that game really did come out at the perfect time for me. And it was basically my first Sonic game so yeah. Also about the gameplay, I don’t think it’s good just for kids who are getting into the Sonic franchise but also is good because it’s the game which makes you feel the most like Sonic, just blasting through enemies at insane speeds is just so thrilling to do lol.
Nothing has consequences. Doesn't feel like there's a "war" waging on the world. Where are the Eggman collaborators? Now that Eggman has to deal with society, how did he adjust his ideas to earn support to maintain his hold? How will humanity accept the real Shadow when he returns again after his clone racks up kills? Where Chaos after Classic's entrance? Why is Infinite never explored beyond his massive ego? How are Cream and Vanilla during all this? Also, no Big the Cat. Automatic 0/10 You get it. It's really terrible, and I'm sure 8-9 year old me would be bored or feel robbed very quickly. If you want an actually good story that's also for all ages with pretty much everything Forces had going for it, just play the Cybertron games by High Moon. They are a spiritual experience.
@@charmyzard You literally just ignored everything I said. Just to sum up how you ignored everything I said, pretty much everything you listed are all way more deep and complex than what a literal child would think about. “How will humanity accept the real Shadow” bro it’s a child playing the game chill.
Sonic Generations already fills the "Best for beginners" part of the series, as backwards as it sounds in a nostalgic/anniversary title, it's easy to pick, short to playthrough, light story, fun and replayable gameplay I don't hate Forces nearly as much as the fanbase, but it's way worse than Generations, both in general and for a beginner
@@ayrtonjoga Ok I never said it was the best for beginners I just said it was good for beginners. I’ve never really played Generations so I can’t say anything but in terms of gameplay it probably is - but still all I am saying is that Forces is good for beginners, not the best but still really good, the gameplay’s fun and thrilling and the story while pretty simple is still really good. Also Forces is more accessible than Generations.
One aspect I think you missed about why Sonic Forces can be a great game is the Red Rings. Yes you can finish some Sonic Forces level by simply dashing forward, but if you want to find all the red rings, that is simply not an option. And to find them, you will need to restart the levels many times and see the alternate paths offered. It honestly saved the game for me. Finding all the red rings was a perfect challenge that just helped most levels shine. Some levels are actually quite deep when you start to dig around for secret paths! And I just wanted to say that Sonic Forces has my favorite Sonic OST and that is saying something since I pretty much like them all. It's just so different and amazing! It grew on me like crazy and now I keep going back to it and listing to these songs while I work. It motivate me like nothing else! I do agree however, that the game would just be better if they removed classic Sonic. There is not much to really like in most of these levels, except maybe to find the red rings. They are ok at best.
I was mixed cause I thought the level design was not only basic but broken at times especially in those water slide levels. Yet I can’t say that my ears weren’t creaming to the good chunk of an ost this game has. Seriously Aqua Road, Infinite theme (played by dangerkids btw), Chemical Plant all these had such good songs that I couldn’t get rid off even when I was cleaning out my playlist on liked tracks on soundcloud I couldn’t remove a handful of the forces tracks that I had liked.
The avatar was easily the best thing from the game, and I wish someday we'd get a spin-off game soley as them. I also thought the challenges despite no 100% completion reward, made it fun to come back to and I feel most of my enjoyment from the game stems from it.
Bro when I peeled back to take a look at the views on this video I was fuckin' shocked. Only 7k views?! This video is so well made, not to mention funny and genuinely informative- Hope more people find this!
7:30 I am getting tired of saying this in every video that mentions the wisps, but I guess it's my fault Anyway, Sonic Runners (don't remember if it's Adventure or the original) shows that during the events of Sonic Colors, some of the wisps simply tought Sonic's planet seemed like a good place to live and decided to stick around and form small colonies (similar to Chao Garden, I suppose). It's very simplistic, but not hard to believe, since Colors shows that the wisps inhabited various planets and not just Planet Wisp. Adding one more planet to the mix isn't too farfetch'd if you think of it like that
I will stand on this: Sonic Forces needs a remake/retake/reimagining more than any other Sonic game ever made. There is so much potential here! - Remove Classic Sonic - Fix the shoddy level design & controls - Fix the character writing - Remove Silver because he has no right to be here, I like Silver but his presence either needs to be part of the plot or he shouldn’t be there at all - Give the other characters more agency and their own levels so they’re not all just sitting in a room corresponding with the protag until the end - Make the capture of Sonic actually matter and impact Sonic mentally. Eggman should have thought of everything here, and it should be an uphill battle to break him out - More & better levels All this and Forces could be a top-tier Sonic game.
I remember there was this one person who told to Forces' admirerers, "Admit it, liars. You say you like the game. You just don't want to admit that you don't. There is nothing at all to like about this game." You know, it's unfortunate that there are many people out there who refuse to accept anything between a hundred percent and nothing. It's just as unfortunate that people compare Sonic Forces to every game in the Sonic series such as Sonic 2006 and will even go as far as to bash something if it has anything to do with Sonic Forces as you stated. With all that being said, I'm comforted whenever I see someone who has admiration for the game as they help prove to me that I'm not alone in having so much admiration for it. I understand Forces could've had more to offer. For instance, on the PS4, Xbox ONE, and Steam versions, you get a trophy for the Silver Moon Rings while on the Switch version you get nothing, at least apart from bonus points. It would've been nice if they had extra clothes for your avatar. Even so, for what it has, I honestly still enjoy it even now, more than five and a half years after its release. One of my favorite aspects of Sonic Forces is the custom character feature. It allows fans to not only create new characters, but it also allows fans to put their own fan characters into the game. Six months before Forces was released, over at DeviantArt, I adopted a red fox named Lisa, someone I had actually known for several years at that point. Lisa is known for her vibrant personality and her sunny smile. She's more than just a Sonic fan character. She's become like a spiritual sister to me, enjoying the good times with me such as an April 2022 Bon Jovi concert I went to and helping me get through bad times such as the pandemic. Just days after adopting her, I learned about Forces' custom character feature, and I instantly thought Lisa would be perfect to put into this game. Weeks after getting the game, I beat the final boss, and I was introduced to what is still my favorite song in the entire franchise, The Light of Hope. The first time I listened to it, I felt that song was written just for me. I had gone through some hard times yet somehow recovered. In addition, 2017 was one of the best years I ever had. Whenever I listen to this song, I envision Lisa singing this song to me. Lisa is indeed my Light of Hope.
For the drill Wispon, you had me in the first half, NGL. Love this video. It brings more light to a game that definitely isn’t incredible compared to other installments, but isn’t anywhere as awful as others. It gets an unreasonable amount of hate thrown at it, so really, thank you. The one nitpick I have is a really minor one. Mor Tar canyon? It’s Mortar canyon. Like the explosive? I love explosives, so hearing the name of one of the best stages in the game butchered made me actually take internal damage. I felt something lurch in my chest, lol.
Gonna be honest with you. I got force on a steam sale for 8$ never cared for it. Recently replayed it with my 3 year old. It's a criminally underrated game. I love how bite sized all the levels are. It's a very very good sonic game !
There is actually a Canon explanation for the wisp thing in a now deleted Sonic mobile game "Sonic Runners," and its not that surprising either The wisps, after visiting Sonic's planet, liked it so much they decided to stay on it
The writing did this game no favors. I am still baffled that some writers with "Happy Tree Friends" in their resume did not deter Sega from hiring them.
I’ve always loved how much is going on in the background in Forces’ levels. It really sells the idea that these are actual locations with things happening, and not just random platforming stages. I think in this regard it’s really only rivaled by the modern DKC games.
Also, regarding the who debacle over Classic Sonic being from alternate dimension, i think Time Eaters influence when he got the guy into White void might create 2 timelines, with the first going as usual with Adventure, Heroes ect, and the second one is Mania. Just my thoughts.
Ok this is gonna sound crazy but I can,t take this anymore so i,m just gonna say it. Classic sonic is from both a timeline and a dimension, now before you take out your torches and pitchforks, according to tailstube, classic sonic,s home is in another dimension and a alternative reality from sonic,s current world in the multiverse, classic sonic,s world is the past version of modern sonic,s world and is in another timeline. (Search it up on Google if you don,t believe me.)
It feels like playing through a sonic cartoon. I’m sure that’s what they were going for. I think adult fans of popular franchises forget that we became fans in the first place because we were kids when we played our first sonic game, or watched our first season of doctor who or whatever. Us grown adults are not the most important fans just because we’re older, we’re not owed anything because we’ve spent money on a franchise. I’m sure all the kids who got this game for Christmas thought it was epic, just like how sonic unleashed blew my mind as a kid. I had no idea the fandom hated it or that it got mediocre reviews, I was far too busy actually having fun. Forces could be better, and longer (the free shadow dlc helps), but it’s not the dumpster fire people make it out to be. It’s a perfectly playable, fun sonic game with a cool story.
Personally I thought the game was mid not the best but I don’t at all think the game is the worst thing ever it’s just fine. The music however is the best part of the game it’s so damn good
hum when you put the musics, i was nostalgic for a moment then i got ptsd, bcs i have like 40h on the game to 100% it, and the levels u put where the one on which i had to grind the most
I find it interesting that you didn't cover the Shadow levels. Otherwise, yeah this video is amazing, and I agree with most of the things you said (heavy disagree on the Drill and Hover Wispons, also that is not how I thought one would pronounce "Wispon", so I had an interesting reaction when I first heard it lmaoo). Keep up the good work!
Man I should’ve covered Shadow, it’s definitely a cool inclusion. Even if he’s just a reskin it’s great to play as him. Episode Shadow ain’t too bad either.
Even though Sonic Forces isn't the best Sonic game, let alone my personal favorite, I had a lot of fun playing it. The avatar levels were the highlight of the game, and the level of customization is pretty fun too. I kinda wish they stuck with just modern Sonic and the Avatar as the only ones fighting Eggman and Infinite instead.
I had gone back to Sonic Forces several times, and I always think about ways that the game could've been improved and have a bit more of an interesting plot. One was making more characters playable along side Sonic and the Avatar, while also getting rid of Classic Sonic. It would've made it feel like the characters are working as a team. Another was how the Phantom Ruby was gonna be used. Both Infinite and Metal Sonic would be actively using it, but the clones are a different story. Metal uses it more mechanically and with purpose, much like his boss fight, while Infinite uses it to toy with his opponents. The clones are actually citizens wearing special gear that controls them and turns them into the clones, imagine them wearing something like what the Sim Sonics wear. It would make it feel like classic stuff where you save animals from the robots. I also wanted to add more levels, like the whole sequence where they needed to get a shuttle. Instead of just going to Chemical plant, they needed to go to a Launch Base style area, but first had to cross Eggman's naval fleet, which would be like Weapons Bed and Metal Harbor.. It would start with the Avatar and Espio on the naval fleet, then the Avatar alone in Launch Base as Espio goes off to do stuff. After that it would switch to Silver who is distracting the aerial fleet, which would be like Sonic Heroes' Egg Fleet. He'd be distracting the fleet to allow the avatar to get to the Death Egg. So yeah, I had been thinking of ways to revise the overall game. Also I actually like Hover and Asteroid. It's fun knocking enemies into each other with Hover, and Asteroid nukes the one Infinite boss fight.
Tbh, I don’t even think Classic Sonic was meant to be a thing. The focus is clearly more on Modern Sonic and The Avatar as they both play a role in the story. Classic feels so last minute.
Dude what is wrong with you! I think classic sonic deserves to be a thing in the game, and he may not be a big focus to the franchise, but he still is a good character, what do you like about classic sonic anyway? And I don,t care if you take out your torches or pitchforks, just kill me, CMON, DO IT!
@@loriayegallen555 I’ll take this for him… but only because I’d rather play any 2D Section in Forces than Frontiers, tbh. I do think Classic had some of the better stages in this game. For a last minute decision, Classic Sonic’s Stages feel the most complete. Ghost Town was pretty Standard Green Hill focused on the deteriorating environment Casino Forest was the Casino Stage (Still better Pinball Physics than Heroes, but FUCK THE SILVER RINGS!) Chemical Plant had underwater sections. Death Egg had almost everything the OG Death Egg had. Iron Fortress had the autoscroller. The Drop Dash is also great, but yeah… Classic Sonic had no business to be in this game at all.
@@Romanode_ True… I’d still rather play Forces Classic Sonic than any Cyber Space 2D in Frontiers. Outside of the story, Classic was only bad for the physics.
Dude I was literally about comment how I actually liked the story when I was younger before you brought up the point. Despite being a younger less mature audience, I’m sure kids like me would’ve felt like those kids who grew up with Sonic Adventure. But seriously having SA2 level story would’ve been amazing had it not been wasted.
I have always love Sonic Forces since the first minute, and after replaying the classics on Sonic Origins I've come to appreciate the level design quite more. Sure, it has ideas that could have been better executed and was designed by a small rookie team, but I like everything that is good in it so much that for me it still is a wonderful experience. I and have "platinumed" the game, so I am well aware of what I'm saying.
I should mention the un-retconned the whole “Sonic from the other dimension” thing with Sonic Racing. They also confirmed that Sonic Mania and Sonic Superstars take place before Adventure 1, and that any future Classic Sonic games will also take place before Adventure 1.
I love this game and unironically think it's pretty great. Every time I play it it's a lot of fun. It's still the weakest of the boost quadrilogy, but they're all some of my favourite Sonic games
Sonic forces was my first sonic game. I played it when i was like 9 and i absolutely loved it. As someone who had never played a sonic game i thought it was awesome it is what made me a life long sonic fan.
my least favorite part of Sonic Forces is the plot. Sonic disappears and is found all before level 2. there was no time to let the bleakness of Sonic's absence sink in. We never get a chance to see how dire the situation has become. as a result, your self-insert never gets a chance to stand out. You're just the guy sent to rescue the ACTUAL hero who then takes over everything from you. on top of that, the self-insert plays very similar to sonic, even sharing his speed (why) and even has a reskinned homing attack. let's fix that, shall we? Step 1: delay Sonic's reveal. Instead of having Sonic found before you even play the second level, have Sonic be gone for a majority of the game. instead of being sent on a rescue mission, the rookie is sent to infiltrate the death egg to rendezvous with Rouge while they have a live feed relaying to HQ so Knuckles can guide them. Along the way, due to the security systems, you're forced to take an alternative route that inadvertantly leads you close to Sonic's holding cell. Everybody is shocked to see Sonic alive via the video feed, and THIS is when the rescue mission is put into place, having go go through different levels to get different things needed to launch this mission. step 2: make the rookie better. their backstory was stupid. the entire idea of a backstory was stupid. it's your character. YOU make the backstory. instead of being a worse Sonic, let the player choose what abilities they have. high speed? the ability to glide? physical strength? pick one. homing attack? optional. the wispon should have been where most of the abilities come from anyway. More species, too. instead of bonuses locked to them, have them be abilities you can buy. speaking of, cosmetics should be purchasable from a shop, as mentioned. in addition, make the rookie feel like they actually matter in the story. have the other characters become attached to them and give them a nickname chosen from a list, like "hotshot" or "speedy" or whatever. this is the player putting themselves into the game, so let them actually be a part of the narrative other than "sonic's new best friend". In addition, for tag-team stages, have them team up with different characters like Silver, Espio, Vector, Amy, Rouge, etc. step 3: take out classic sonic. step 4: make the story darker. Rouge is a spy on the death egg. wouldn't someone eventually find her out? when that happens, have her disappear and imply, not confirm but IMPLY that Rouge was killed. She's alive, of course, but considering just how dire things are, having a scare like that would really up the stakes. step 5: bring back Blaze, and mention Cream. Blaze's pyrokinesis would be a massive boon for the resistance. When she teams up with the rookie, her flames can amplify the wispon's attacks. bigger flamethrower, fiery whip, etc. as for Cream, say that she's in a refugee shelter with Vanilla. during the finale, she can chime in on the coms to cheer you (the rookie) on.
Something I don't see anyone talk about is how the synth in Sonic's tracks is the same synth used for Eggmanland from Sonic Unleashed. Also, fun fact, Classic Sonic's tracks were made using a real Genesis sound chip. I think that's pretty cool :))
To answer your question about eggmans fortress and such is because after the first level it skips to after Eggman took over everything so no one can stop him from anything
Forces is my personal least favorite Sonic game, though I would never say it's the worst. For all its faults, there's things it does competently if not outright well- avatar creation is fun, graphically it looks good, the music is still decent even if I find it to blend together too much as a whole (a problem I also take with Frontiers and even Adventure 2, so this isn't even a Forces-specific issue), etc. Heck, the gameplay engine is at least more enjoyable at its core than Frontiers' cyberspace stages or Lost World in some instances, where I feel in those games you have to actively fight against the controls. What ruins Forces for me is simply it's unengaging gameplay and tonally confused story. There's moments of brilliance in both, and in the former's case I'd argue Forces is a gateway drug in casual speedrunning due to how easy it is to learn it's exploits, but I can only credit the game so much for that. I think if the game's marketing wasn't so misleading, there'd be a lot less sourness on the game's reputation- not to say it'd be beloved, but I think it'd be largely just forgotten about, the same way Lost World is despite that game having many similar flaws. But since we were promised an epic return to the darker tone of the 2000's games, a return to the solid boost gameplay of Unleashed and Generations, and just a cool game in general, what we got was a huge letdown. I wouldn't say it did nearly as much damage to the franchise as Sonic 06, but it was a dangerously familiar tale, even looking at the reputation of games proceeding them (largely popular titles at the time with Heroes and Generations, followed by a stumble that was largely looked past in Shadow and Lost World, a controversial game release in 06 and Forces, and an ushering in of a new age following that with Unleashed and Frontiers. History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes, I suppose.)
I have nothing bad to say about forces actually…yeah I understand a lot of why everyone hate it…but it was one of the phew games that I can actually still replay, Idk why but I just like to replay forces, the bosses are alright, but the metal sonic battle is my fav….the music…THE MUSIC IS AWESOME!!! Here are some songs that I love with a huge passion: Fist bump is still a masterpiece of a song to this day, the guitar and the voice is just to hard to dislike Sunset heights has a drums which is cool, but in the beginning…is just flat out cool Battle with metal sonic is by far I think super robotic which fits him perfectly And the death egg robot phase 3 is just…..(insert chef kiss here) it’s just awesome It’s hard for me to dislike this game. Also thx for looking and finding good stuff of sonic forces, I have mad respect for you❤ You got a liker and a subscriber❤
I replay a few stages in Sonic Forces especially the Avatar stages. The more i replay the more i appreciate the game for not be the worst or hated like everyone says.
I like sonic forces because it has so much fast gameplay combined with action and it’s music does so well in reminding you that you’re part of the uprising
Sonic Forces was the First Sonic Game I Played, and it Delivered well enough to make Me a Big Sonic Fan! I've Played all sorts of Sonic Games now and am very Satisfied with that, Sonic Colours: Ultimate, Sonic Frontiers, Sonic X Shadow Generations, even Sonic Origins, all brilliant Games. They were made for Me and the Generation that I was Born in and I will be forever grateful to SEGA for the Entertainment they have Supplied Me with
19:07 Yeah, actually one of my favorite songs in the game its Classic sonic's Death egg, it just really cool and if you don't like the instrumentation you can always listen to a remix.
I used to love this game before I became a huge sonic fan. Now that I’m a huge sonic fan who’s played a lot of sonic games, I understand why this game gets hated. Nevertheless, it’s cathartic to hear someone point out the positives of the game after this game has been beaten like a dead horse😁
Honestly, I liked it and thought most of the game was just okay or even good, but that final boss was so much fun and pretty challenging during phases 1 and 2, honestly this game had a lot i didn't like but it also has a lot I liked

All in all, as terrible as forces was, I think it allows the future of sonic to actually look brighter in a weird way
The avatar was definitely a highlight, it’s one of the only unique parts of the game.
@@Romanode_I’m gonna make my Avatar the next Beef Testosterone. (If you are a Cr1tikal fan, you would understand.)
@@Romanode_you can get a free sanic shirt
The avatar is a good idea and features
If they bring the avatar back for something, then they might just use that red fox guy in the ads and the boxart
I know I might be biased but sonic forces was my first boost game. I love going through the levels, listening to the music, and so so much more. It may not be perfect. But its good
I just think it needs some more boss fight design
Its my first one too (Unless 3DS Sonic Generations counts), It's definitely not the worst game I've played (which funnily enough, is its WiiU predecessor Sonic lost world) but I don't remember having much fun with it beyond trying to mess up the boost. More power to you for liking it but I cannot see it being good beyond the music and perhaps a couple of stages (I remember really liking that river one)
Maybe its because I was a bit too old for it, maybe it was Mario Odyssey, maybe it's my own excessive library of 2d platformers, but going through Sonic Forces feels like a cheap, barebones platformer wearing the skin of a concept much greater then it seems capable of achieving (with really short levels that don't feel like they go anywhere, copy paste boss fight design, a weird lack of boss fights at the end of important sections (The Death egg exploding without a boss or an escape level is the standout example, any setpeice would do), copy pasted bonus level design, a poorly toned and contradictory story with key concepts left to minor background visuals and throwaway dialogue, and just overall a feeling of poor quality which just oozes from it in a way Sonic Lost World never manages to achieve (though in Lost World's case it just removes any ironic enjoyment, which Forces at least has)).
Also I note again, I dont want to devalue you're enjoyment of Sonic Forces, this is just how i feel about the game

Same bro
Same here but after replaying it I kinda hate it now
Classic Sonic exist here because of the Good Ending in Sonic Mania.
it's sort of the other way around. The good ending of sonic mania exists because Classic sonic exists here
No the true ending
@@Coolboister578the “true” ending is the good ending
Glad you enjoyed! And yeah I’m quite literally fueled by Sonic Frontiers hype rn, I really hope it’s good.
@@Romanode_
I think the whole "Take back the World" theme of the game is similar to the core concepts of the "1993 Sonic the Hedgehog Saturday Morning Animated Television Series" (SatAM), which more or less served as the partial basis of the 2 Sonic Comic Series by Archie Comic Publications and Egmont Fleetway Editions, so I think that those cartoons and comics also served as the inspiration for this game!
I'm so glad to hear that other people like forces too, I actually really liked it
Me too
I liked it and called it a "decent, yet ultimately underwhelming time that is fun while it lasts." It got so much extra hate than it should have.
Its not bad, only disapointed. Better than Sonic 06 right?
@@mattiasolsson1523Sonic 06 is not a bad game, per se. It's a rushed game and the reason people consider it bad is just for 1. the kiss and 2. the bugs, the latter having been fixed with Project 06

This video has a disgustingly low amount of views for how well it was made
Thank you!
If I were to guess why it’s because so many people now treat forces almost like 06 where they won’t accept anything about the game is good. (which I don’t really even care for the game I think it’s just ok) kind of similar to the people who write off p06 because it’s built off sonic 06
just finished this game today, it's far from perfect but I still had quite a lot of fun
Aye i'm glad to hear that!
Couldn’t have put it better myself.
That’s interesting
14:36 oh thank GOD this was a universal experience
Anyways, THRILLED to see someone shed some light on the music. Only issues I have with it are the classic Sonic tracks and the lack of Fist Bump in the final boss music.
Personally, I like Forces. It's actually 1 of my favourite Sonic games alongside Mania and 3&K
13:12 This is one of my main gripes with Classic Sonic (at least story related) because having Classic Sonic being from a different dimension isn't that crazy after the whole Time Eater and Phantomy Ruby sheningans but they couldn't do anything with it and explore the idea
Also I'll give you a good thing about Classic Sonic: his levels actually feel like actual levels and you can gain speed now while rolling now which is nice
Do you gain speed when rolling down hills? I never noticed that.
Yeah when you go down slopes while running you pick up speed but when you rolled down a slope as a ball you dont pick up speed forces is the total opposite you cant get more speed by going down slopes but going down a slope in a ball does
The ultimate Generations classic Sonic, just add the forces roll and drop dash
They could've just said that he's from an alternate timeline. It would've allowed them to release more classic sonic games without messing with the main continuity and they would've completely avoided the retcon, as sonic and eggman knowing about future events is bound to change everything anyway.
He's from the second dimension
Maybe the good in sonic forces is the friends we made along the way. Very good video btw. Sketch approved👍 pretty underrated
I think it's good for speedruns
**LOL**
I have speed ran this and I have beat in 17:42.23
yeah it’s a really good game for speed running I beat it in like 30 minutes
Please level 25 is literally hell
@@EphraimSangi for me on Nintendo. Fuck off it is
16:54 I did used to have an idea for a Sonic villain: Toxin the Scorpion. Sonic's about freedom in life, Eggman's about control, and Toxin... is about ableism and misery. He's a "survivor of the fittest, how dare these nobodies believe themselves worthy of happiness," type of bad guy.
I could see that showing up in the comics
Not particularly drawn to any specific animal, and my favorite color is royal blue, so that's also a problem.
i think it finally clicked to me. forces was before it's time. had a game like this come out in the late 2000'a early 2010s this would have popped off in the sonic fandom. it has the custom sonic oc do not steal, the very melodramatic story, the edgy antagonist, the whole aesthetic, it just reeks of that 2010s era sonic fandom.
the time it actually came out, that kind of outlook on the series had long since been phased out, and those fans grew out of it.
something i have also noticed, is sega's apathy towards sonic. sonic isnt too popular in japan, which is where these games are being made, but are really popular in the west. because of that, i feel there is just some anger and maybe even slight racism (at worst) towards their target audience, so they just make some slop and "feed it to the Americans"
with every sonic game released, it really feels like sonic team wishes they could make literally anything other than a sonic game.
its good that they are still in recovery, but the one thing that i think sega and sonic team need more than anything is good directors! all of these ideas, all the failed ones, and the successful ones could have reached their full potential if there was good directors, better vocal direction for the cast, better art direction (to be fair, they do kinda pop off there, i just think it falls flat in regards to continuity with other games), programing direction, and maybe even director direction, and also a guy to punch mr moneybags in the tummy whenever he tries to rush a sonic game to make a quick buck.
Gameplay wise the avatar is definitely lacking--like the other playstyles. It’s the wispons and character creator that interests me most.
I have trouble controlling the characters too but that just me every sonic game 😅 so I’m just terrible at playing the games 😂
@@Cerisekiwi5030 I'm not talking about a "skill issue" though. Even if you play them correctly, the Avatar feels clunky. Its just how they're designed.
@@Romanode_ Yes the customizability is great. Imagine if they were customizable, AND fun to play! So much missed potential.
THIS VIDEO IS ILLEGALLY UNDERRATED BECAUSE I kinda liked forces because I ignored the janky controls
I like every games of sonic no matter if it's bad by the people
Its Ok for me, it was my Covid-19 Game along with Sonic Mania, I went back to it a few times, and now, it’s a ok game for me. They should’ve given Classic Sonic his homing attack, like you could when you collected all the red star rings in Sonic Gens
Sonic Forces is quite a specific game... I just played for the first time it this year in September when there was a sale and despite the fact that the game is already 7 years old and I knew everything about this game, I still had fun playing it, I have no idea why but I had a really good time playing it.... apart from Classic Sonic, he is hopeless
Oh, and I almost forgot, the modding scene for Forces may not be at the level of Generations from 2011, but it is still amazing to me
I really love the music of Forces (except Classic Sonic's) and i often listen to it when i'm reading the IDW comics it cause it fits really well, i've been especially listening to Arsenal Pyramid when i read the Eggperial City storyline
Literally SAME, the music fits so well, especially the menu music.
All of Classic Sonic's tracks in this game are a bop get out of here. The only one that's just okay is Green Hill's
Amazing video! Good to see some people can find enjoyment in forces
0:20 Do I need to remind them of Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom? 😑
"It's no use!"
And
"Ramps! We can use them as ramps"
Raid the Rabbit is the best rabbit in the Sonic series I love his tired face so much and his fancy tux
Sonic Team wanted to make something big and I dont think anything else captures those feelings besides Sunset heights, Fist bump, and Infinites theme song.
The Light of Hope too
Sunset Heights is up there as one of the most interesting settings in Sonic. Like it’s up there with Kingdom Valley in terms of being iconic.
You have convinced me to try out this game after a full year of not being sure
not gonna lie bro don’t 🙏🏽😭
I’m mostly playing devil’s advocate in this video, finding the little bit of good in an overall mediocre experience.
Most sonic game are better
It's bad
Nothing has consequences.
Doesn't feel like there's a "war" waging on the world.
Where are the Eggman collaborators?
Now that Eggman has to deal with society, how did he adjust his ideas to earn support to maintain his hold?
How will humanity accept the real Shadow when he returns again after his clone racks up kills?
Where Chaos after Classic's entrance?
Why is Infinite never explored beyond his massive ego?
How are Cream and Vanilla during all this?
Also, no Big the Cat. Automatic 0/10
You get it.
Sonic Generations already fills the "Best for beginners" part of the series, as backwards as it sounds in a nostalgic/anniversary title, it's easy to pick, short to playthrough, light story, fun and replayable gameplay
I don't hate Forces nearly as much as the fanbase, but it's way worse than Generations, both in general and for a beginner
This is the first sonic game and video game I ever played
Personally, I like Forces, but I do think it’s way too short

You almost got me there with the first drill impressions. It is my favorite too!
Thank you for going through this game ❤
Very well made and interesting video!! I'm glad to see someone give this game the time of day
Thank you! glad you think so.
7:30 I am getting tired of saying this in every video that mentions the wisps, but I guess it's my fault
Anyway, Sonic Runners (don't remember if it's Adventure or the original) shows that during the events of Sonic Colors, some of the wisps simply tought Sonic's planet seemed like a good place to live and decided to stick around and form small colonies (similar to Chao Garden, I suppose). It's very simplistic, but not hard to believe, since Colors shows that the wisps inhabited various planets and not just Planet Wisp. Adding one more planet to the mix isn't too farfetch'd if you think of it like that
Sonic forces has a great soundtrack and some stages ad some replay value, believe me because those good parts made me play the game even more.
I don't hate the game, but I love it because of the good stuff of Forces.
Thank the lord that I found a person thinks the same thing.
I like to think eggmans time is mostly spent having panel board meetings delegating tasks to robots so he can keep his shit running
I will stand on this: Sonic Forces needs a remake/retake/reimagining more than any other Sonic game ever made. There is so much potential here!
- Remove Classic Sonic
- Fix the shoddy level design & controls
- Fix the character writing
- Remove Silver because he has no right to be here, I like Silver but his presence either needs to be part of the plot or he shouldn’t be there at all
- Give the other characters more agency and their own levels so they’re not all just sitting in a room corresponding with the protag until the end
- Make the capture of Sonic actually matter and impact Sonic mentally. Eggman should have thought of everything here, and it should be an uphill battle to break him out
- More & better levels
All this and Forces could be a top-tier Sonic game.
Lol my bad, I have a history of mispronouncing stuff.
Gonna be honest with you. I got force on a steam sale for 8$ never cared for it. Recently replayed it with my 3 year old. It's a criminally underrated game. I love how bite sized all the levels are. It's a very very good sonic game !
There is actually a Canon explanation for the wisp thing in a now deleted Sonic mobile game "Sonic Runners," and its not that surprising either
The wisps, after visiting Sonic's planet, liked it so much they decided to stay on it
That makes sense I guess, I wish it was explained in a mainline game though.
I wouldn't say the game is underrated, rather its over hated
The writing did this game no favors. I am still baffled that some writers with "Happy Tree Friends" in their resume did not deter Sega from hiring them.
Amazing video !!
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too, that or Tails sees the past as a different timeline/alternate dimension.
The music is probably the best thing about this game
It is so good that someone finally gets the good out of this game, everybody says it’s trash, but I say not everything
The music is DEFINITELY underrated.
it gets an unfair amount of hate... exept for classic sonic. that soundtrack can rest in hell.
When I was 8, I used to hate Unleashed and loved Forces. But suddenly, when I got better with more Sonic games, Forces made me sad...
The music however is the best part of the game it’s so damn good
To me, I’d say forces is a good game. I really enjoyed the game and still play it til this day. nice video btw.
I still play as well and nice video
hum when you put the musics, i was nostalgic for a moment then i got ptsd, bcs i have like 40h on the game to 100% it, and the levels u put where the one on which i had to grind the most
I find it interesting that you didn't cover the Shadow levels.
It was definitely a last minute inclusion to appeal to classic fans
Dude what is wrong with you! I think classic sonic deserves to be a thing in the game, and he may not be a big focus to the franchise, but he still is a good character, what do you like about classic sonic anyway? And I don,t care if you take out your torches or pitchforks, just kill me, CMON, DO IT!
@@loriayegallen555
I’ll take this for him… but only because I’d rather play any 2D Section in Forces than Frontiers, tbh.
I do think Classic had some of the better stages in this game. For a last minute decision, Classic Sonic’s Stages feel the most complete.
Ghost Town was pretty Standard
Green Hill focused on the deteriorating environment
Casino Forest was the Casino Stage (Still better Pinball Physics than Heroes, but FUCK THE SILVER RINGS!)
Chemical Plant had underwater sections.
Death Egg had almost everything the OG Death Egg had.
Iron Fortress had the autoscroller.
The Drop Dash is also great, but yeah… Classic Sonic had no business to be in this game at all.
Classic sonic shouldn’t be in 3D sonic games outside of Generations, I love classic sonic when he’s in the classic games.
@@Romanode_
True… I’d still rather play Forces Classic Sonic than any Cyber Space 2D in Frontiers.
Outside of the story, Classic was only bad for the physics.
Thank you for bringing up the music. I absolutely LOVE the soundtrack for this game.
Yeah Forces OST is very underrated
One of the best things is the music
What about the classics made you appreciate Forces level design? Just out of curiosity.
Great video! Also does anyone know what the sound effect at 12:22 is called
Thanks! And that’s some Fnaf 2 sound effect
I think it was cannon that they just stayed in the universe sonic was in just because sonic saved them
I should mention the un-retconned the whole “Sonic from the other dimension” thing with Sonic Racing.
With the music, you can’t forget Infinites Theme(s), his main theme and the battle remixes absolutely slap.
This game is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me - mostly because of the soundtrack.
Something I don't see anyone talk about is how the synth in Sonic's tracks is the same synth used for Eggmanland from Sonic Unleashed.
Also, fun fact, Classic Sonic's tracks were made using a real Genesis sound chip. I think that's pretty cool :))
To answer your question about eggmans fortress and such is because after the first level it skips to after Eggman took over everything so no one can stop him from anything
picking santiago over blaze is a war crime
Before viewing comment: Guess I am still the one guy that enjoys playing the game until now I think.

Here are some songs that I love with a huge passion:
Fist bump is still a masterpiece of a song to this day, the guitar and the voice is just to hard to dislike
Sunset heights has a drums which is cool, but in the beginning…is just flat out cool
Battle with metal sonic is by far I think super robotic which fits him perfectly
And the death egg robot phase 3 is just…..(insert chef kiss here) it’s just awesome
It’s hard for me to dislike this game.
Also thx for looking and finding good stuff of sonic forces, I have mad respect for you❤
You got a liker and a subscriber❤
I replay a few stages in Sonic Forces especially the Avatar stages. The more i replay the more i appreciate the game for not be the worst or hated like everyone says.
@@mattiasolsson1523same with about every other "bad" sonic game
16:03 thats like a great idea, and also. Based on whay i remember on this game, whats the purpose of this game being an online game?
I like sonic forces because it has so much fast gameplay combined with action and it’s music does so well in reminding you that you’re part of the uprising
IT DID NOT BURN DOWN MY CROPS AND IN FACT I THINK FORCES IS THE BEST SONIC GAME EVER IN THE WORLD
Sonic Forces was the First Sonic Game I Played, and it Delivered well enough to make Me a Big Sonic Fan! I've Played all sorts of Sonic Games now and am very Satisfied with that, Sonic Colours: Ultimate, Sonic Frontiers, Sonic X Shadow Generations, even Sonic Origins, all brilliant Games. They were made for Me and the Generation that I was Born in and I will be forever grateful to SEGA for the Entertainment they have Supplied Me with
Sonic forces was my first sonic game I played and I loved it
I’m glad bro, we need more positivity in this community.
19:07 Yeah, actually one of my favorite songs in the game its Classic sonic's Death egg, it just really cool and if you don't like the instrumentation you can always listen to a remix.
I like classic sonic the most, the gameplay doesnt make me feel braindead
I used to love this game before I became a huge sonic fan. Now that I’m a huge sonic fan who’s played a lot of sonic games, I understand why this game gets hated. Nevertheless, it’s cathartic to hear someone point out the positives of the game after this game has been beaten like a dead horse😁
Forces is ok but the boost stage’s yes avatar ok classic classic makes me want to die
Honestly, I liked it and thought most of the game was just okay or even good, but that final boss was so much fun and pretty challenging during phases 1 and 2, honestly this game had a lot i didn't like but it also has a lot I liked
Same here, it was okay.
GG that the vid what did i need from a while
