    Splendid playing and a real trip down memory lane. I remember buying this LP when I was at school - I'm 66 now. And I once earned an extra day's leave for knowing that Kenneth J. Alford and Leo R. Stanley ('The Contemptibles') were brothers. I probably learnt it from the sleeve notes.

    This is a superb recording,I really love the arrangements of Gordon Langford,always so inventive and interesting parts for all the band .

    The Airborne Division march is very underrated and underplayed in my opinion. Only heard it played once till now. That was an old recording, I think Irish Guards, so its great to hear it again in a "new" recording. And look at the size that band, about 60 musicians and all beardless!

      The best version I’ve heard
