Thanks for this; bought this LP in the early 80’s and of all the various interpretations and recordings of Sousa’s marches i’ve heard over the years, Colonel Ridings’ are my favorites; particularly like the accelerated tempo on “Solid Men to the Front.”

I too purchased this album in the 80's and it's my favorite! I remember briefly seeing it in CD at Rose Records in Chicago, but elected not to purchased it because "I already had the album." Now I can't find the CD anywhere. Thank God I still have the album, albeit with many scratches. Thank You for your pristine album with no scratches! Nathan in Chicago 🇺🇸 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧

@@luzmalara5584 I have never ever seen this on CD. Hopefully this is pretty close to CD quality as I removed the clicks and pops. Glad you enjoyed it. If you would like me to upload a certain recording let me know.

@rosconorth Yes my friend! I'd like the complete album by the RAF - "Aces High." I believe on this album there is a selection titled - Slide Kicks. It's the only professional recording I've ever heard of that piece. My older brother (72) performed this as part of his high school band's trombone trio back about 1968. I just searched my old albums, I haven't played them since 1997 when I moved into a new house. They are behind a stack of racks, which I'll have to move in order to gain access. We have pretty much the same taste in music. I'm💂‍♂️Guards💂‍♂️ happy ever since my oldest brother (75) sent me a record "Touring London" or something to that effect. On it you hear the Welsh Guards leaving the Palace to Men of Harlech. Also you hear someone's Corps of Drums. He was going to college in Brickett Wood during the late 60's and eventually wound up as principal horn of the Singapore 🇸🇬 Symphony. I was first Bandmaster of the Chicago Military Academy/Bronzeville. (1999-2010) Any way I truly appreciate your collection. I'm losing weight, and I walked 30 miles last week. I put on a new album of yours every two miles. Please, keep up the good work!!! Sincerely, Nathan in Chicago 🇺🇲 🇬🇧💂‍♂️🇺🇲🇬🇧💂‍♂️🇺🇲🇬🇧💂‍♂️🇺🇲🇬🇧
