for real. for a kid that loved Bruce Lee, Japanese cartoons, hiphop and comicbooks. I remember being in 7th grade and pushing play on 36 Chambers and being like "this is an album made for me"

In terms of pure skill, I agree. Accomplishments? GOTTA give it to OutKast. Upped the creative bar with each release and in doing so their reputation, all the way up to winning Album of the Year at the Grammys and going diamond with Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. Wu-Tang is my personal favorite, though....

I love OutKast, but Wu-Tang would be my #1 group of all-time. A lotta personalities, egos, and moving parts all came together to make some of the best, original, most consistent hip hop music we've ever heard. They had an amazing run, glad I got to witness it.
I agree somewhat, I feel Public Enemy & Wu Tang are 1a & 1b , if that's possible, also much respect to Outkast, there definitely top 10 no question about it, but wouldn't rank them #1, PE & WU are still together making music. I believe Outkast are on hiatus or they've disbanded.

There was nothing like experiecing this era of music while it was happening, you can call me an old head but I feel privileged to actually be someone who experienced the Wu Takeover as it was happening in real time. It was unreal. Wu Tang Forever.

Timing and where you are in life has a lot with how music resonates with you. I was lucky enough to be a senior in HS when 36 Chambers dropped and then 18-20 y/o when all the solo's then forever dropped. No real responsibilities, just chillin every day drinking smoking whatever. But the music was always the backdrop to those years.
Word! I was in elementary… so I feel you. They took me through school while schooling me.
13 and was just going to Junior High. Hip-Hop music from '87 to '99 and particularly '93 when the Clan dropped that album is forever in my memory banks. Nothing can compare to the "Golden Era of Hip-Hop" in music and the Wu-Tang Clan and their affiliates helped with truth in that narrative and legacy. Best hip-hop group ever!

My dad took me to see Raekwon in San Antonio. I met him and got his autograph. My dads face after that will be forever embedded into my head, I’ll cherish that moment forever. Wu is for the kids! 👐
41 years old and i have tickets to see Wu and Nas In October. Never been more excited to see a concert as I am to see Wu. Takes me back to my teen years when they exploded on to the scene. I'll be bumpin these dudes rockin a cane lol. Wu-Tang forever

There was a special feeling and other things i cant really explain when certain hip hop artists dropped there albums back in the 90s from Wu to Mobb Deep,Nas ,Biggie,Tupac, Gangstarr,Pharcyde and any others i forgot to mention.
The 36 Chambers album Is a Classic I was in Highschool back in 93'' when i bought that album Protect Ya Neck was 1 of my favorite songs back then🎶🔥😎

Ghostface Killah is the best emcee of the Wu-Tang Clan, and his consistency made him that. Outkast is the best because they consistently put out good product and they didn't put out throw aways and they were experimental and the growth was there just as Ghostface Killah.
