On Saturday we had some parking lots basically to our selves and no one around to say anything, you might have some personelle/employees from the companies/customers wonder whats up with buffing the train.

While it is cool being on the main lines, it's also cool to catch the local RR and switching operations ever now and then. Both types of railroading important the main lines, but then also these smaller switching operations are definaelty needed as well. I'm glad to see the demand is there keeping these short lines busy.

That was a FAST 16 minutes Adam! Well done! I had to think about Raritan Central for a bit, then I remembered several months back there was an article about them in "Raifan & Railroad" magazine. If memory serves they work deliveries and pick-ups in a VERY large industrial park along (or near) the Raritan River. Very interesting to see them in action, thanks!

The reason why all this track is here many miles of it to just for an industrial complex this was the old Raritan Arsenal for the Army.

No I don't work for the lumber company or the Rail Road. But I am a lover of train. I am jersey native. I currently live in Maine. Are you familiar with the now defunct BAR ? Long story short CSX and KCCP bought up Two class 2 carriers with the Irvine owner Northern Maine Rail and its sisters NBSR and Maine Eastern Rail Road
