Now though I’m older and so wish that old me could just have one more day with him just to sit down and have a good chat about life .
My Dad was a wise man but was also human, he made mistakes but he never made the same mistakes twice and looked at mistakes not as failures but as learning opportunities. I just wish that I had taken more notice of him when he was around . I’m sure that if I had then I would have taken a much easier path to where I am now in life .
My dad once said to me ,

The older wiser me now understands what he meant .
Luckily for me my own kids have took more notice of the wisdom that I past down to them from thier grandfather than I did from my father, both my kids are at good places in thier lives but they are both wise enough to accept that life can change in an instant, something I never accepted and that denial cost me dearly . My dads wise words may have skipped me but I’m so happy that my kids weren’t as dumb as I was at thier age .

I love how Infinity War ended. In a cinematic universe full of countless movies of heroes winning, seeing them be defeated was not something we were used to. Seeing half of our favorite heroes be dusted away leaving only a few left was unexpected. It was such a great ending.

I almost wish they had ended the series on infinity war. I think it sets the stage for a much more interesting dilemma in the MCU. How will the universe recover? How do the heroes we have seen grow and mature cope with such devastating loss? What will motivate them to continue fighting? I liked endgame but I feel like there could have been so much more potential for the films if they had decided to leave all those characters dead and instead showed the mental battles the avengers and others faced in the wake of the snap
@@opangular5509 I make your words my own. I like endgame, but Infinity War's ending was simply amazing, and for that reason alone I prefer it a lot more than endgame. It was very bold of them to have an ending like that, but unfortunately the super-hero genre isn't bold enough yet (maybe never will be) to actually finish an arc with the villain winning. 1 month ago I had no job, on a huge debt, the woman I wanted to marry left me, I was depressed, alone, defeated, on the edge of literal suicide.
In 2 days I fly out to the other side of the country. I’ve been pushing myself every day. I’m chasing my dreams. Nothing will stop me. I want to explore, to travel, to get in shape, to become a Pilot.
And so I will.
Never give up brothers.
Edit: 12 months later, I have a great job, lots of new friends, I’ve completely cleared my mental health. on my way to earning my wings, although it’ll take a while. in shape and have cleared a couple financial debts already.

I don’t write meaningful comments very often but I want this one to be meaningful. I was in a bad place before I watched this, feeling like I was going through a very dark, narrow tunnel with no end. I was in a bad and rocky part of my life, filled with uncertainty, regret, hate, and just overall bitterness. I wanted to yell at everyone and every thing that came to me and critiqued me or said anything negative to me. I started pushing people away, seeing people less on purpose, avoiding people. I was maintaining an appearance that I was ok to everyone, when I really wasn’t. It reached an all time low after relatively not improving after a few weeks. I was hopeless, lost, depressed, and frustrated at everything and myself for not understanding why I was not improving and why I was like this. But, there was something else, a sliver of this video was caught in the corner of my eye on the homepage. I started to listen to it because I thought, “why not.” I started listening and about halfway through, a switch flipped or something because I was doing something I had not done in a while, process my emotions. I was doing something beautiful, I was crying, but not in a sad or bad or sorrowful way, I was crying tears of genuine happiness. For the first time in about roughly..well give or take a good couple of years I was processing my emotions I had bottled up for the last 4-5 years. The music had helped me reconcile with my emotions. I was able to not fully or completely process or let out my emotions for at least the last 3 years but this music was..a triumph for me. The gift of music is beautiful, just the entire concept of it. The ability to put thoughts and feelings and emotions into sounds, bleeps, blips, notes, words, and many other things is so interesting but also so beautiful and elegant. The author of this music helped me to overcome my depression. It was a start to a journey that would be build upon this and help me truly become the best that I could be. It truly, for a lack of better words, helped me find the light at the end of the tunnel. After the video was over with I was so happy that I was just..happy again. Since then I have not been depressed, I have been building character (or trying to), I have been consistently better since watching this video. Honestly, it may not have the same effect that it had on me, with you, whoever you are reading this. But I do know this, it does not take one singular video to change your whole character or attitudes, determinations, motivations, or biases. It takes courage, fear, open-mindedness, diving into the unknown, doing stuff you don’t like but have to anyways, work/life balance, and so many other things that took humankind multiple lifetimes to fully understand and appreciate.
Honestly, if you read this far, reader, thank you. Truly, I humbly thank you for reading my summary of my rough last few weeks. But I have a final message for you, if you can get through these uncertain times to the light at the end of the tunnel. Also remember this and never forget, the darkness you fight is within you. Hi Greg, you’ve been my idol for many years. I make orchestral music as well and you were one of my great inspirations. I decided to shift my career from music composition to engineering. Music is still my passion and a lot of your work still inspires me. But if there is one track that is dear to my heart. It is this one. I can say confidently that this song is my favorite piece of music that has ever been made in human history. When you have felt the pain and loss and sorrow like I have... you hold it. You grab it tight and you never let go. Because if you and I have any say in the matter, which we fight to have a say in, no one, nobody will ever have to feel what we have. No one deserves that pain. I stopped caring for my life years ago. I stopped living and loving myself years ago. I am here now to do whatever it takes to protect others from feeling as I have. Or rather to protect others from not feeling. So stay. We all need to stay, but nowhere does it say we must stay alone.
