I’ve never seen a quilt done this way and I really love it. I’m totally inspired. I love Kaffe fabric and often wonder about how to make the best out of his striking designs. Thank you so much for the clear and patient explanations. ❤😊
So beautiful! I like this better than the hexi kaleidoscope quilts and so much easier! Thank you for sharing your talents! Blessings
I've done the hexi one and I like this one better. It is so much easier to get a great looking block with simple squares! God bless, Jane!
This is now on my To Do list! Thank you!
Thank you for explaining how to cut and sew the 4 patch kaleidoscope. Enjoyed watching your videos. I'm from the UK

Hi SueAnn! The heat seems to have broken here. We are at 72º today! I hope it breaks for you too. Thanks for watching!

Awesome fabric!
It is hard to find a Kaffe fabric that doesn't knock my socks off! Thanks for watching, Diann!
Great job! You made it look so easy.
Thanks for watching, Laureen! It is easy, give it a try!
This really turned out great! I need to try this.
Please do, Cheryl. It is so easy! Thanks for watching!
Your quilts are beautiful and your videos are full of info- but your humor is the best part! 🤣🤣🤣 Sweaty and flabbergasted! 🤣🤣
LOL, Thanks for watching and leaving such an awesome comment, Brenda!
This is the most concise explanation of seeing the webbing that I have seen so far. So long sticky notes and numbered rows.
I'm so glad my video helped you, Betty. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
@@70acres I've been quilting for over 46 years and I have learned some new things from your videos. Keep up the good work!
I’ve been quilting since the 70s and I still learn things from my subscribers all the time! Thanks again for watching, Betty!
I LOVE THIS!!!! I 've always wanted to do a kaleidoscope but the 6 yards of fabric, half hexi rows & aligning 6 layers to cut always intimidated me. I did do a table runner and decided a full size quilt would become a UFO. But a 4 patch! I can do this! thank you And you are so right about the scale of the fabric - this is stunnung
Thanks so much for your lovely comment, Grandma! This is so fun, give it a try. I ordered 4 yards and still have quite a bit of it left. Thanks for watching!🥰
' Beautiful!! Have done 1 with the triangles method and will switch to this one! Thanks much!!
Thanks for watching and commenting, Connie! I like this one, it’s so much quicker and less complicated.
Very interesting! First time I have seen this type of quilt made. Very impressive! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching, Donna!
It turned out lovely and your demo on how to join all the blocks was so helpful!
Thanks for watching, Dianne! I'm glad my videos helped you.
And the math!! Once upon a time I was really good at it, now not so much. Good thing about this technique is if you feel like it, you can just skip the math and wing it. Make however many it makes and arrange when it's done. If you have spares you get to choose your favorites.
Very true, Pegasus! Thanks for the reminder!
Nice!!🎉❤
🥰
Love this Quilt, and thank you for sharing information of your beautiful sewing machine ( which I had asked about in another video you shared). ❤
You are most welcome, Mary! Thanks for watching. I hope you give this one a try, it is so much fun!🥰
@@70acres , yes I’d like to try this! 🥰
Gorgeous Quilt, I would think about adding some of your original fabric as a border on the quilt.
That is a great idea, maybe with a lime green or hot pink flange border too. Thanks for watching, Ann!
Blocks came out very pretty
They did. Thanks for watching, Vera!
Really beautiful! Stay cool!!
I'm hoping for a cold front! Thanks for watching, Jan.
Oh my! This is absolutely beautiful! Love your fabric choice. These are so much fun to make. Extremely addicting!!!! Thank you again.
They are fun. Thanks for watching, Linda! 🥰
I have a Singer 301 also and I love it! I have a couple of featherweights and though they are very good they cannot compete with my 301.
I agree, Rose, I have several Featherweights and they don't compare to my 301! I'll be getting a new vintage machine the end of the month. This is a White from the 50s and it is turquoise! I can't wait to start playing with it!
Thanks for watching!
@@70acresmy dream is to own one if those machines. Where should I start looking?
Facebook Marketplace, Craig’s List or EBay. I see tons of listings on Marketplace all the time.
I did not know about the dots in the selvedge edges and that is where the pattern repeats. I used that information to piece a quilt back together for a seamless appearing backing. I did struggle with matching the fabric vertically, but it turned out great for my first attempt. Thank you!
I’m glad my video helped you! Thanks for watching!
About the fullness, it does work best if the larger layer is against the feed dogs.
Yes, I've heard that. On my vintage machine, I can take up slack from either piece of fabric just by holding the fabric up. Gotta love a vintage machine! Thanks for watching!
❤Lovely top! This method of sewing the quilt top together looks so much easier than I have been doing! Will definitely do this way next time myself. Saving this to my Favourites to watch again. Thank you x.
Thanks for watching, Liz! I'm so glad my video helped you!
Thank you for another great video and for this stunning quilt!
Thank YOU, Regine, for watching!
It looks so simple when you’re doing this. It’s lovely ❤
It is simple! Give it a try, Daphne. Thanks for watching,
Love the choice of fabric! I will have to try this! I have seen the ones with hexagons and I'm not up for that yet lol
Kaffe fabric makes everything look good! I much prefer this pattern than the hexagons. Thanks for watching, Freddie!
@@70acres Yes! I can match up 4 squares but 6 triangles is just a bit harder for a beginner :) The end result is just as stunning :)
Love the different patterns on the blocks My favorite is row 1 block 3. It looks really cool 😎
Happy Birthday 🎂 ❤😊blessings 🙏
Thanks for watching and for the birthday wishes! Love ya, Kathy!
Have a happy birthday 🎉
Thanks so much, Tania!
❤ thank you for the wonderful instructions
I am thinking on trying it soon. I have several different fabrics half yard each
Wondering if I could use it instead of one continuous piece of fabric 🧐🤔
The reason you need one continuous piece is that you need 4 repeats of the fabric. So if the repeat is 24” you need 4 times of the same repeat to make the blocks. Watch my previous video, Part 1, for those instructions. Thanks for watching Patricia!
Is there a written instruction for this beauty??????? I am new so I don't know if I would remember them all without seeing it,HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can’t find part 1
