Cut or Slice them in the foil. The foil helps hold them together when you add all the toppings and it keeps them warmer longer

It cooks faster because it’s not a slow cooker. It’s a roaster, like the oven. So it cooks faster than a crock pot would.

I don’t use foil. I use potato spikes. This conducts heat to the inside of the potato for faster cook time and is not wasteful like foil. When using a crock pot, I don’t think you need either.

@Irina-iw5ji there awesome! I love them because everyone gets to make the potato how they like. One of my kids made one with crushed-up Hot Cheetos and it was pretty good. And yes I am using my slow cooker next time to make the potatoes it will save so much time in the day.

I don't pierce the potatoes when cooking in foil. Never have a problem with exploding if wrapped. I do dock them if baking unwrapped or in microwave. I love baked potato bars

Hi Alicia I discovered that when you poke potatoes 🥔 with the tines of a fork it turns the potatoes black inside. They don't turn black inside if you poke the potatoes with a plastic knife. Lyatt Sandee from Ohio💜💜🙏🤟😊

I don't know why that is that they turn black,
I think from the metal of the fork.I learned that by accident. I read about the tomatoes spoiling onions if stored next to each other and onions sprouting potatoes 🥔 from my local newspaper. Lyatt Sandee from Ohio

Just cut sweet potatoes in half and put oil on them. Salt and pepper and put cut side down on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 F for 25-30 mins. Perfect everytime.

This is more for single serve potato, where you fork it a bit and put it in a plastic sandwich bag. Throw it in the microwave for minimum 5 minutes (add minutes for size) and it turns out perfectly baked. It's just quick and easy is all
