Im learning Japanese since a few months now. You spoke really clearly and I was able to understand almost everything. You used very simple everyday words and it was really good to get better at listening and actually hearing basic Japanese . Listening to podcasts or watching a series is great when you are able to understand Japanese to a certain level and it's really fun!

Thanks for your videos/podcasts, recently started listening and loving the challenge. Been studying Japanese a while but struggling with listening skills, so these are great! Though I’m struggling to understand a lot of it, i can pick out the odd words/phrases and really encourages me to listen more!! Keep them coming!!!

Teacher Shun speaks slowly so that absolute beginners like myself can learn to listen to Japanese. I have watched other Japanese teachers on UA-cam. They are good for a different audience- learners with perhaps some experience and are able to follow faster Japanese speech.
Joining his Patreon opens more learning possibilities for me. I am hopeful that I will be able to build up my Japanese vocabulary with Teacher Shun's resources. The transcript of his podcasts are invaluable!

I've been learning Japanese for about 8 months now. This podcast was too difficult for a beginner but it was the first I found and it helped me to get to know the sound of the language very much. Since then I found easier things to practice but I always come back to it at some point. Thank you Shun! 😊

I just search nihongo podcast on UA-cam and I found this podcast. It's very simple and understandable nihongo podcast. It's also beginner friendly. I understand 95% of this podcast as I am just beginner of nihongo. I will practice nihongo listening through your podcasts.

Just found this due to a reddit recommendation. I've subbed because I'm a bad student and have short attention span and these are a great length.
I lived in Japan for 5 years until recently (Okayama > Yamaguchi > Shimane > Fukushima)... but as I'm a bad student, I didn't study much. These podcasts will be very useful for me to be able to listen to some Japanese every so often so that I don't forget everything.

I JUST SAW THE REDDIT POST YOU MADE THIS IS SO COOL! I'm about half way through the second level of Pimsluer and just ordered Genki 1 for self study (in school classes feel like they move at a snail's pace). I'm super excited to start listening to this. It really blows my mind that I can understand most of this, even if it is simple.

When you start Genki 1 you will understand even more and more!!! You can still talk and listen even when you just start learning!!!!! Wait for more content!:)
