I recently showed up to a hotel where I had made the reservation starting the NEXT night. Whoops. I apologized for my Senior Moment, asked if they had rooms available, they did and everything was fine. If they had not had rooms available I would have gone elsewhere for that night. My fault, not theirs. No weird noises required.
People really don't know what to say out of their mouths do they?!! Little girl?!! And that weird noise is like people blowing a whistle. Like a referee during a game. 🤣🤣
Mrs. Karen this was definitely user error. Take your party of 18 to Sonic and take the L. Come back next Saturday when you made the reservation for. See ya then.
The "bttttt" sound is used to shut down the opponent and regain control of the discussion (she is accustomed to interacting with horses, dogs, children and husband and keeps doing it because it works)
Yep. When she got used to being "right", she figured she could carry it over to all other parts of her life. It works on adults because it does make us stop and wonder if she's all there, mentally. Random noises like that can be a sign of a psychological problem. She might want to rethink her speaking style before she ends up heavily medicated. I know I would pause the conversation and flip to "Why did you make that noise? Are you okay? Not only did *you* make this reservation online for the wrong day, which means you have some sort of problem with your technological interface skills, but you're making funny noises like a tween. Do you need me to call a professional?"
Her volunteering her entire party to camp out until you finally cave and create an 18 top just for her, instead of running to Denny's or something is hilarious. I don't think there's any place that would be able to handle a walk-in 18 top. An impromptu picnic at a local park with take-out from a barbecue and sides from the grocery store might be her best option.
Why can't people be civil to servers, cashiers and salespeople? Or the front desk at the doctor? Treat them nicely and with respect and they will have your back. Walk in at the doctor Monday morning? People being told its a 3 hour wait? They call me by name to another window and offer me an appointment time so I can go home and rest. I get exemplary service almost everywhere because I treat employees well.
Man have people changed. I worked at Wendy's in the late 70's early 80's. Everybody was nice to us. In 5 yrs I never saw a crazy or mean customer. What we see on UA-cam makes me never to want to work at a restaurant of any kind. Or dealing with people. I will say even back then the Frosty machine went down, rarely but it did. We had 2 of them though so . . .
I have also almost made a hotel reservation for the wrong day but I reread my info and realized I had made a mistake - maybe Mrs. Mc--- needs to read her online info before hitting the button!!! Boy do I dislike McAsshat!!
As someone who has scheduled an appointment for the wrong day online, I have a tiny bit of sympathy for Karen. It cannot be easy to coordinate the schedules of 18 different people, to find a date and time where everyone is able to be there. HOWEVER, when I botched my own appointment, I did acknowledge my mistake--I did not try to blame it on someone else. Nor was I rude to the receptionist! Yet another idiot who expected you to wave your magic wand and fix everything. 🙄
That 'Brrrrr' is the US national sound for: 'The US customer is always right ... no matter what'. It's never the customer's fault, it's always the restaurant's/server's fault. 😂 Especially if the customer is a Karen.
That's the thing: If you make an accommodation booking, you will receive an email containing the following information: Location, date of accommodation, check-in time & check-out time. Surely, she should have been able to show you that email she received.
@@Stephaniecarlisle0529 I apologize, I was referring to the customer. I was making an attempt at humor by presenting it as "gamer speak" but my attempt at a joke jumped the shark. Yes, the skill issue is on the customer. I suppose the joke failed because diner has two meanings, which I am seeing now.
I have worked in restaurants, not out front thankfully, and I can tell you that every single oneof these videos I have heard about, these stories are not made up. I could tell of more stories Sassyserver hasn't done yet.
If you make any reservations, their is usually a confirmation email sent. The fact that people act as if their mistake is everyone else's mistake is ridiculous. They are grown adults, they need to behave as such. Stop thinking you are entitled to everything.
You're wrong and you handled this the wrong way, the customer deserves to be seated even if their reservation is on a different day because they made a reservation which creates an expectation, and you should have extra tables and chairs for situations like this. I also aggressively and illogically disagree with everything else you said for no apparent reason because I really need to get either a hobby or a prescription. ❤️😇
😂😂😂 I’m glad you disagree. However, I cannot put people where I have no room. It was their mistake. If I had the room I would have gladly seated them. But it was a busy weekend night and we were packed with reservations for the correct day. There was nothing I could do for them

She is DEFINITELY not the one and only McAsshat...THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!
She has cousins all over the place
Cousins, aunts, siblings, niblings, & SO many picky grandparents who always stop in after church.
Yes, she's "The one and only McAsshat! "
😂😂😂
Oh, if only that were true!
They are Legion.
the Noise is her clapping hands. It worked for her toddlers and she thought it would work on you LOL

I’m surprised the sound wasn’t accompanied by foot stomping and hand clapping! 😂
I would have gotten even madder

It was so weird
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
I have an aunt-inlaw that does that!!! OMG...... it's crazy loud and startled the crap out of me the first time she did it!
Perhaps a noise made by those who can't snap their fingers loudly.
