I'm so glad to know you got there and enjoyed Bergamo, after seeing my video. Yes, Via Porta Dipinta is a lovely street that I included, clever you found the converted monastery. It is a magical town.
I was there in September of 2022 (took a train with my Italian friend from Milano) and there was almost no one there. It was magical to have this place to myself. Verona is another place I recommend.
@@denniscallan It's not just your video. There are others on the same subject. One of the nice things about Brescia is that it has always been a refuge for locals. I'm sure you're a decent person and mean well. However, since the advent of social media tourism has got out of hand. Tourists say they love our country but have little consideration for those of us who have to live here,
Hi Dennis, Thank´s for telling some about the trains, stations, and the trams, for us actually enjoyng public transportations as a way to get around and for site seeing. A wish: some info on biking or vespas in town, rentals and tracks for us ordinary bikers, not elite bikers.
I have been living in Brescia since 2002, and I love it. Functional and it has everything still remaining a reasonable size city. Love this video
Wonderfully comprehensive tour log. Very helpful for
those of us trying to plan a trip to Italy. Many thanks. -H
Glad it was helpful!
Beautiful, thanks for the video! 🙂
Thank you!
Probably the best video on this city
We visited Bergamo last May because of your video. We stayed in a converted monastery on Via Porta Dipinta. It was amazing!

Glad you enjoyed

I had the same experience, only locals there
@@denniscallan Brescian here. No offence but we'd like to keep it that way. Thank you.
@@anta3612 I don't think my little video, with 3k views, is going to cause a stampede to Brescia. Your beautiful town is safe.

@@anta3612 I was there October 2022. Has there been increased crowding since then?

Appunto, ma mi sa che per "undiscovered gem" intendesse dire "non invasa dai turisti".
