Thanks for the helpful video, i tried to bleed my brakes via INPA afterwards and was getting an error "brake was not released, bleeding routine is aborted" i am assuming i need to play with the brake switch like you did at 15:30?
Is it common for these to fail? I was driving mine tonight and it just lost all boost as I was pulling into my garage. I tried restarting, revving etc and I get zero booster assist. No warning lights either.
@@IzzyE9X I thought that the check valve would have only a limited effect on the booster function. Like I'm 100% without any brake assist under all conditions. Can the check valve be stuck shut thus blocking any vacuum?
Hey man i have a broken brake booster on my e90 and when i went to a garage they told me that i had to go to a garage that has the bmw programming because when you change the brake booster you have to reprogram the abs block. Just wanted to know if thats true or did they try to make more money out of me.
from what I know is that to replace the booster, you most remove the ABS block. reprogram? I doubt it 100% but you have to flush the air from it by using a scanner to actuate the unit and get the air out
You really put much effort in providing all details, great work. Keep up!
amazing video, many thanks for uploading.
(only one thing to add: we also have to bleed the dsc through software)
Thank you for the great help changing my break booster! Helped a lot
My understanding was that once you disgonnect the dsc you'll need like inpa to correctly bleed that unit???
Any master cylinder seal to brake booster to replace?

yessir, you got it
@@IzzyE9X I did this today worked a treat. Thanks
That was very well done and clearly explained thank you.
What can be symptoms if only check valve is faulty?
After removing and refitting the dsc did you need to bleed it via gt1 software? Or didn’t it work no problem no fault codes after?
After removing it, I used the Foxwell Scanner I have to actuate the DSC module to make sure all air got out, then bled the system but no fault codes!
Nice, which model foxwell scanner do you have ?
Hello nice video can you send me the link for the bleeding procedure cannot find the link

It’s probably the check valve in the pipe going to the booster or the booster grommet leaking to that pipe
