I left my job of nursing in July this year because I was so burnt out. Because of the pandemic the place that I worked decided to give us more patients because we did it during the pandemic. 15 plus patients per nurse. I can’t do it anymore. It’s not safe. I will never go back!
I left this month. As a new grad, I couldn’t do it anymore. I did only a year. I wish i could’ve kept going but I was burnt out mentally. Too many patients and they are very sick
It is not all about pay! Why are people so limited in their understanding of the real issues involved in our messed-up healthcare system, and the challenge in trying to provide good care in a shitty system that only cares about money. PS if your main driver is money, don't become a nurse. You will hate it. There are much easier ways to make a lot more money.
@@brandywillis3998I don't say it's all about pay. That's why the farmers exploit the people picking the food at the farms, because they don't want to pay. Let me know when there is a CEO shortage
@@brandywillis3998 Then don't complain when you or your family dies because of lack of care. Everything is about money. How can a nurse be paid 25/hr with inflation and rising housing cost? Also patient nurse ratio of 1:10. Then losing your license for becoming the scapegoat of mismanagement of the hospital. Getting to nursing is very tough and can easily be taken away and it shouldn't be the case.

The pandemic spoiled hospitals and gave them leeway to exploit. There is a reason why there is more malpractice and deaths now in hospital.

There is nothing the CDC could have done to improve the nursing workforce during Covid. We had MAJOR staffing issues WAY before the pandemic!
Could you do a sliver of critical thinking? Have you ever heard of a CEO shortage? NO!!. Do you know why? Because the pay is GOOD!!

There’s not just a nursing shortage. Nurses don’t run the whole hospital.
Blah blah blah blaming Covid for everything-
