The Soul Reaver, Kain’s ancient blade - older than any of us, and a thousand times more deadly. The legends claimed that the blade was possessed, and thrived by devouring the souls of its victims. For all our bravado, we knew what it meant when Kain drew the Soul Reaver in anger - it meant you were dead.

I love this line so much because he sounds like he’s just rationalizing evil things he’s done but he’s 100% right! He had legitimately carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. His choices weren’t always the best but the pressure he was always under was definitely insane. Wouldn’t say he’s a GOOD guy but he has a point here

A very beautiful game with astonishing script and top notch voice actors. And a very good point made by Kain.

A script that fits in a textbook, not in.a video game.

The voice of Kain is Simon Templeman, who also voices Danek in Dead Space 3 and Dr. Doom in the 90s Fantastic Four cartoon.
