One of my mom’s best friends used to hang out with Metallica and a handful of other bands in the 90s and early 2Ks, and she has a lotttt of bizarre stories about these guys lol... girls were willing to do literally anything just to have these guys notice them, and often times it got weird.

You should come play bass for my band. You should make a video on how hard it is to find a thrash metal bassist who is truly a bassist. Especially who finger picks. All I ever find is guitarists who concert to bass to be in the band or other genre bassists who don't have the right drive and feeling for thrash bass.

I can't remember if I've ever brought this up before, but I know for a fact, that Turn The Page was originally recorded not long after the Black album, and I speculate that they were probably sitting on it for a B-side or something, until they had the bright idea to do another covers album. Thought that might be an interesting fact that you and your readers might not be familiar with . . it was sort of an inside secret. . . . that I am probably safe revealing... holy crap, 26 years later. Wow I'm old. :-D

That must be another part that Kirk holds dear (like the breakdown riff in CreepingDeath which he wrote at 16 years old), being that Cliff and himself were both involved in what is one of the best moments of the entire MOP album. That part is one that can really lock a person in to loving that album and song as it soars and cuts so deeply.

The ending solo in The Four Horsemen (6:36-6:38) contains a part that sounds very similar to a part of the interlude solo in No Remorse (3:25-3:27).

Hello! I have just recently discovered your channel and pulled an all nighter watching your videos. Great stuff and you appear to be very virtuosic at music! Well, better than me! One thing that isn't well known and I was told this by Ron McGovey himself!
Metallica wrote a song at an unknown time somewhere in the early 80s called The Hills Ran Red. It apparently sounded very much was Fade To Black to be. They had just wrote whiplash. It was scrapped and rejected and Ron does not believe there was any recording. Very cool song but scrapped sadly. Also, he said the bass that Mustsine spilt the beer in was the one he played at the fillmore. By the way, long story about meting the dude, don't ask.
