You should give atleast two kicks in ignition off, so that oil runs in all the engine after that hold the clutch and make a free kick, then go ahead to start ignition and starting the bike with kickstart

Sean Cleetus Good question. However, it is not advisable to self-ignition for cold start in the morning. I always go for kick start in the morning or first time kick start for the day. Also, later on the day if the bike does not start the first instance on self-ignition, then go for kick start or it will drain your battery....:(

As it will consume more petrol and 2nd before making any video just get all the knowledge 1st how to start a bike. Still u r wrong if u slow down yur engine u have to give escalator.

The conversion of the fuel (petrol), from liquid form to the vaporized form, is done inside the carburetor of the motorcycle. Inside the carburetor, the fuel is mixed with a jet of clean air coming from the air filter. This mixture of fuel and clean air is then sent inside the engine for ignition. During winters or when a vehicle has been idle for many days, the engine might face starting problems and needs more fuel content in the air-fuel mixture sent inside the engine for easy ignition. This is where choke comes into the picture. This extra amount of fuel will make the mixture rich. This means more fuel content in the fuel-air mixture and thus quick ignition inside the engine chamber. You will need to PULL the choke out. If the bike starts without the choke its well and fine.
+Flint Roberts Choke is needed for cold temp only most Bullets will need choke when temp is under 10 deg.c. depends on model u have. most old ones have a screw on right side of carb which adjusts idle speed. turning it clockwise half turn raises idle speed and helps starting a bike without choke
+kanwarjit sidhu Not Recommended. Only adjusting fuel screw is not recommended. Air screw needs to be adjusted accordingly in order to synchronize. Only Expert can do that. Latest F.I. Fuel Injection bikes does not need this step.
This means you are pushing throttle too early or too late. Whenever you kick or self start your re, wait till your engine gives the 'thud' sound, then push throttle..
You should gently crank the engine before the actual kick. Bullet kicks back when it is in compression stroke.. you have to pass that stroke and kick then. Experience will teach you all.....good luck.....

New RE Bikes do not have Decompressor Leaver/Knob. New RE Bike have a facility called Auto-Decompression. This has eased starting process a lot.

Its good to kick start the first time you use the bike. Self start will drain your battery.
Your engine is too fast bcz of that its starting at 1 kick. Now it wil consume more petrol. Plz go to machanic n have a check
