At around 4:30 to 4:50 as you're coming into Peterborough, on the right there's a short section of overhead line equipment that "goes nowhere." I am wondering if this is a setup for training on constructing and maintenance of the OHLE. Do you know what it is? I have actually seen this type of installation on some Japanese Railway videos where I was told that is indeed what they are. (There's one in Japan near Nagasaki located beside a line that is not otherwise electrified, so it was very noticeable.) Thanks.
Hi Luca that service u was on I recorded it leaving Peterborough Station and when did they switch back over to electric power but this video is great it's a thumbs up from me
@@RichardChalklin good job you had them 😊🎧 I think a lot of people these days have no consideration for their fellow travellers, some are very noisy and often drunk causing a nuisance 🤨🍺 You used to be able to escape most of the noisy people by travelling 1st class, but sadly these days that is no longer a guarantee of peace and quiet when travelling 🤨

It would take up to an hour longer that way. It is quieter beautiful route.

Would of switched back to electric at Litlington neutral section between Royston & Ashwell & Morden I think.
what was the app you used to track you train on
It's a website. signalmaps.co.uk
LNER that London Kings Cross station are a ride was just a railroad station
Grrat video 😊👍🏽 Noisy lot in 1st Class 🤨 I like peace & quiet when travelling 1st Class, not “rent a party” 🤔🤨
Thankfully I had headphones on and never really heard any of the noise that was happening. So glad I have them sometimes 😏
