I was expecting somehing really off the wall from Michele that wouldn't appeal to me at all but there are quite a few really beautiful dresses in this collection decorated with some stunning embroidery and embellishments; the craftsmanship on display is truly impressive and demonstrates exactly what haute couture is all about.

This is simply very , very beautifull. I saw Valentino in it , very pretty..Calm music took us into heaven of haute couture of incredible Alessandro Michele. Young and older models are stunningly charming. Amazing show !
Hard to see the darker clothing against the black background. Would have loved to see some of the details on the darker looks!

I think it's a brave move, bravo, different fashion in one collection. Dresses are well made, and they are wearable. However, the show is not unified. And I think the two most important points are the brand's value and designer's preference, I didn't find the declaration through this show.

I'm wondering why Alessandro doesn’t have his own brand at this point- kudos to Valentino though for letting him do his thing. This is the only show I’ve watched from beginning to end- truly special!

VERY EDGEY FOR A WALKTROUGH...what with the wind, lightening electric flashing.....set an epileptic off is what that did...love how much work was in the detailing...very impressive.

Some of the clothes in most cases were more costume than haute couture. I get the Venetian influence but In some cases the clothes were wearing the models. What was great, absolutely brilliant, is using women of a certain age, that embody a wisdom seldom seen on the runway. With very little makeup and some cases none. Very moving. Very empowering.

I loved it, very theatrical but I see it as very warm for summer.
I respect his creative artistic talent. But as himself stated to the press he is not a couturier. Definitely is Gucci all over again. Nothing to do with the magic of Valentino under Pierpaolo Picciolli.
I understand that these are exquisite objects of art and not meant to be worn. The models are simply the hanger. If I had all yhe money in the world. I eould not dress my children or grandchildren in any of these. They are beautiful costumes but for me, fashion should be fun and flattering.

Some dresses look nice but their head masks are just too spooky, especially 7:40 and the music and atmosphere too. In general the models of high fashion also lack life force.

Ma è un'altra cosa.. Schiapparelli è ricerca innovazione ed il lavoro che presenta solitamente ha un fascino magnetico anche se alcuni capi possono risultare assurdamente importabili . Questa sfilata , senza nulla togliere al lavoro di sartoria che c'è dietro è un'accozzaglia di stili grotteschi ridicoli e in piena disarmonia gli uni con gli altri . Stanno prendendo in giro le persone che li supportano !

Each piece is its own work of art. A truly haute couture show. The line of cohesion is the technical construction of the collection. Not the colors or shapes.

Some models appear lifeless, and a fashion show as such a big brand should be inspiring and glamorous.
The harsh lighting and "gothic" music do not contribute positively to the atmosphere.
However, this collection is skillfully crafted; some designs seem overdone with excessive elements and feel outdated.

Pour être de la haute couture c’est de la haute couture, c’est bien fait, silhouettes harmonieuses meme si un peu trop de fanfreluches, l’histoire racontée , le surréalisme c’est harmonieux certaine silhouettes flirtent même avec la perfection, toutefois , il faut dire les choses, c’est des costumes hautes coutures et non de la fashion…ce n’est pas Valentino meme si on retrouve des inspirations Valentino vintage mais sorry Valentino n’est pas Gucci !

I liked the music better than the actual collection. Some pieces are beautiful but I see too many ideas (n46???), maybe a reflection of the tons of words running through in the background, at least that's coherent but the collection is not cohesive overall. As someone already said, the light is not helping either... Tanto fumo ma poco arrosto

The moving background, the noise of the voices, the number behind each model, the black darkness destroyed one's opportunity to see the fashion. What a shame, what annoying backgrounds and darkness obscuring the fashion. 😢

Art a littlebit heavy but beatifull
For a moment I thot it was Gucci coulture until I remember Gucci does not do couture...
As a man, I can't speak for myself, but I know plenty of successful women, and none of them would dress this way, even for a special event. This collection is more costume than couture, and apparently Michele doesn't understand the difference. I suppose the proof comes with the quarterly sales report. I doubt that even the positive reviews are coming from anyone who could afford to spend $30k for an evening gown.
Some are beautiful, some are ridiculous. Why can't Valentino produce a 100% spectacular collection?
