I did not realize until reading the video prompts that these are not mixes from the internet, you created all of this content. You are beyond talented and your music is incredible. I have not yet contributed to any independent artist on the internet, chalk it up to my own selfishness and/or laziness. But you sir, deserve my money and are going to get it.
wow! Author should receive an award for increasing peoples work productivity across the globe, it's the best music for churning through difficult intellectual work
I wonder how many of those expressing admiration for your brilliant “ambient techno” compositions realise the titles of the tracks are actually Cymraeg (Welsh) and not simply some mysterious sounding titles you’ve thought up go with the tracks? I started to suspect the titles were actually using the Welsh language when I came across tracks like “Trawsfynyd” and “Anialdir”. My knowledge of Welsh isn’t that great but living so close to Wales (north) and visiting as often as I can because I love Wales so much, Ynys Môn (Anglesey in particular which I call my “spiritual home” because when we cross the Menai and reach Mam Cymru I always experience a sense of calm & serenity I didn’t feel on the mainland). People dream of retiring to somewhere the sun always shines and it’s always warm - but this 25-year-old dreams of moving to Anglesey one day and he knows whatever the weather he’ll feel like he’s come home at last! I’m actually born in Norway but we came to live in Stockport when I was 3, I visit Norway as often as I can (if you’ve never been please do - the west of Norway with its mountains & fjords would truly inspire you Rob I’m sure of that. By the way did you know that Anglesey got its name from Norwegian vikings? I often think the wheel has turned full circle - some of my viking ancestors may have been on that ship that came across an island and its crew named it “Anglesey”, and now this present day Norwegian experiences total peace when he visits and dreams of living there one day. I’m into EDM & ambient in a big way and I can say without being embarrassed I feel your music as well as hear it! Diolch yn fawr for giving us such fantastic music Rob, and tusen takk too (a thousand thanks in Norwegian). 🎶&☮️=💟 👱🏻♂️❤️🇳🇴🏴
Thank you for recognizing the Welsh language titles in my tracks! I'm glad you've discovered their meaning. Your love for Wales and Anglesey is evident, and it's beautiful how it brings you a sense of calm and serenity. Your dream of moving to Anglesey one day is inspiring, and I encourage you to pursue it. I appreciate your recommendation to visit Norway, and it's fascinating to learn about the historical connection between Anglesey and Norwegian Vikings. Thank you for your kind words about my music; it means a lot to me. I'm grateful for your support and appreciation.
Gday. Since randomly finding your Trawsfynydd mix a week ago I've been hammering the streaming service for your creations. I'm absolutely hooked and listen to you every morning on my 4am 5km walks. TYVM Rob.
Hi, I don’t know what music streaming app you use but do you know that if you use Spotify you can create a playlist of Rob’s fantastic tracks and set the app to apply “cross fade” to it so each track blends seamlessly into the next? Everyone I’ve told about Spotify being able to do that has given it a try and loved it (Apple Music on iPhone doesn’t have crossfading so the gaps between tracks really negatively affect negatively listening to Rob’s tracks IMHO 🙁). Just a tip, if you do give it a try set crossfade to the maximum 12 seconds - I’ve experimented with different settings and the maximum 12 definitely works the magic for me (and those I’ve told about it). Cheers from Stockport U.K.. (my name Thorvald is pronounced Tourval. I’ve added Rhys to my name because I love Wales so much) 👱🏻♂️
This feels soo good to listen too!. It does its magic when I am working on my reports and also when I am just sitting in the balcony smoking. It kind of transports you into a different world. Keep it up!...Don't stop making such masterpieces!. Liked,Shared, Subscribed and even hit the bell icon!
Forgot to mention in my previous comment that I’ve added Rhys to my name as a tribute to a country I love so much, Cymru. The only thing I disagree with my parents about is that they chose to move to England and not Wales. I’ve got some good friends in Cardiff - we should have moved there 🤣! Cheers Rob 🍻

@@ambienttechnomixes Although I've never liked or rated Aphex Twin myself B.o.C, Global Communication & Biosphere are some of my favourites so I will deffo check out the others that you recommend. There's a different GAS (Matt Jarvis) in this genre who put out some nice ambient techno via the em:t label in the mid-90s too. Cheers for the music Rob, your mixes are top quality and easily on par with Geir Jennsen's output imo.

This is the perfect music to do rowing exercises to. I feel like I'm on a moody mission at the gym. 😊
Enjoy!
especially those long steady-state pieces 💪
I listen to it everyday from japan.😊

Around 35 minutes reminds me of chemical brothers
Thanks for the compliment. I did used to listen to the chemical brothers around 25 years ago, so I'm probably slightly influenced by them.
Nice dub sound to it
Cheers, glad you're enjoying it.
can you share your typical workflow in creating these tracks? and then how do you mix them?
Hard to do in a couple of sentences
