Placenta previa is when the placenta covers the mouth of the uterus. Placenta previa can cause severe bleeding during pregnancy and delivery. The bleeding can make the mother and baby weak. If bleeding is very severe it can cause the death of the mother and baby. Baby can only be delivered by cesarean section.
