Becuz is my island , the bless island , thank you to everybody the even have a prayer or said a great word about PR .
Here are 3 Latinos being positive and a bunch of Latinos are putting them down? I've known Lemon for well over 20yrs..He is Puerto Rican and white.. He hung out and lived in a Latino area, most of us are Puerto Rican.. He was always a good honorable dude, and quick with the hands when he was younger.. He still goes to the old neighborhood and shows everyone love..We are all proud of him.. How are all of your Netflix series going,or sold out shows going? Joe said it best,,Latinos hating on Latinos.. You never hear white people saying another white person isn't really white,do you? It's only us Latinos and black people that are like this with one another..
I feel exactly what you're saying man! I knew a guy from Brasil when I was younger. He told me that the way we can all tell what race we belong to is by the color of our azzhole, true shlt. I know it might sound crazy, but he made a very good point, saying that the color of it put you into the 2 different categories, either pink or black/dark.
Some might have problems with Puerto Ricans from NY (never understood why) but not me, I was born and raised on the island, but I love the Yankees, I love la salsa and I love hip hop since we were raised with a lil bit of NY heritage. For me you guys are boricuas también and these are my 2 cents!!!
Loved the episode shot in Puerto Rico and the whole show. Soy boricua y Cubana from the Bronx, estoy muy orgullosa de mi cultura y de mi gente. Gracias por esto. There is limited representation of the scope of our rainbow colored people. We get lumped into Mexican culture with non Caribbean people playing us in film and TV. It's reciprocal, Hollywood has always lumped Mexican culture with Cuban, and Puerto Rican culture as well. To them we are all the same. Omg I have a friend from the island that says US pr people are annoying because of how much they rep being pr. But I truly believe there is an extra sense of pride people have when they leave their country. And the next generations feel robbed from the opportunity to know and learn their culture first hand. And I think that’s where the pride comes from.
I'm not even Puerto Rican and I'm annoyed about a Havana song as the intro. If there's a historical event/story/annecdote linking the two islands then please include it into the video.
It’s funny to me how you all are focusing on the music just listen that’s all. Next time I’ll tell them to put some Bachata music Because we Dominicans the majority of New York today
Also Netflix with all due respect... Salsa was birthed in Cuba ... but if this is based on Puerto Rican Culture , there many countless great Puerto Rican salsa bands that made some amazing salsa some singing specifically of Puerto Rico/ NuYoricans and our culture.... Grand Combo- Fania All Stars- Frankie Ruiz - Hector Lavoe, Marc Anthony just to name a few , would have been better to represent our culture in this episode...
Papi Champú Cubans and non Cubans, such as Tito Puente, Rubén Blades and many experts of the Cuban music and salsa have always said "Salsa is just another name for Cuban, music. Tito Puentes once said, now they call it Salsa, later they may call it Stir Fry, but to me it will alway be Cuban Music
Papi Champú It was not until the 1950s that Cuban music became popular for Puerto Rican bands. Plena, Bomba and other styles or music were popular at the time in Puerto Rico. Many famous Puerto Rican musicians went to learn the music styles of Cubans in the 1930s and 1940s, and it was not until the arrival of Castro in 1959 and the Cuban music stopped its exportation to the world, that Puerto Ricans in New York were able to be greatly noticed

I'm not even Puerto Rican and I'm annoyed about a Havana song as the intro. If there's a historical event/story/annecdote linking the two islands then please include it into the video.
I think they played it because Fat Joe is Cuban too
@@MariahSincere I guess. I didn't know that until I heard him say it in this video which was way after the intro.
The beans from casa adela .. are A1...
PR food = best food on the planet.
😂 I love my nuyoricans. I know they mean good and they love PR but please making this with Cuban music whith lyirics about Havana City. Shiiit! 😂
Luis Ishmael yup but if you are making a special about PR yo make it with salsa from PR or a song that talks about PR not a city from another country
It’s funny to me how you all are focusing on the music just listen that’s all. Next time I’ll tell them to put some Bachata music Because we Dominicans the majority of New York today
Who didn’t fact check the music selection with a Spanish speaker! One love for PR though!
Thanks for that!
Tengo q irme por alla
Esa musica es cubana es increible hablando de puerto rico y ponen musica que habla de la habana se colgaron malamente!
Damn Anthony look good even when he eatin
Fat joe god blessed your heart baby u are so sweet
Also Netflix with all due respect... Salsa was birthed in Cuba ... but if this is based on Puerto Rican Culture , there many countless great Puerto Rican salsa bands that made some amazing salsa some singing specifically of Puerto Rico/ NuYoricans and our culture.... Grand Combo- Fania All Stars- Frankie Ruiz - Hector Lavoe, Marc Anthony just to name a few , would have been better to represent our culture in this episode...
Jay M salsa was born in New York City mainly formed by Puerto Rican’s salsa is not even Excepted by Cubans as a genere
tratallere salsa is Cuban everyone knows that. salsa is made up of Son, Rumba, Cha Cha Cha, conga, Guaracha which all originated in Cuba.
Correction salsa was birthed in NYC BY PUERTO RICANS & CUBANS!
I didn’t know lemon was a producer.. I remember him from def poetry jam
