FAQ: How to buy Ghibli Park tickets?
* Actually, the current ticketing system is different from what we experienced. After multiple attempts, we somehow won the lottery and got Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse (the most popular one, I think). Now, they have different rules, so I can’t really advise about tickets. 🥲

From their website: “Procedure and prices for reservations/tickets purchased outside Japan will be announced at a later date.”
Also, it seems that you can book via JTB travel agency, but you have to book a hotel through them. www.jtb.co.jp/...

I just got tickets to go to Ghibli Park in November and am so excited to go. One thing that is confusing is that it appears the first entry to an area is at 12:00 p.m. even though the calendar says the park opens at 9:00 a.m. Why does the park open three hours before anyone can enter the Grand Warehouse etc.? Is it worth going early?

Would it actually worth the stop between Tokyo and Kyoto? We were planning on going but all the videos make it seem actually quite mediocre like they did not have a significant budget and isn't very immersive. More like a museum.
@@cameronthorby5799 I think it depends on what you expect. Ghibli Park is not a theme park like USJ or Disney, so you won’t find any rides. The concept is to explore the different re-created worlds of Ghibli movies and turn into the main character by walking through them. And based on that concept it’s very well made, imo. I made a video about my visit as well, maybe you see something you haven’t seen in other videos. If you decide to go, I hope you’ll enjoy :)
@@mattaritokyo thanks for this description. I also think expectations for this 'park' needs to be aligned as it seems people have a conception that it'll be Disneyland/sea or USJ. When really, it is not.

Years ago, i did plan for a trip to Ghibli...but damn..i forgot to bring the print out and only realize it while on plane ..some more i locked my drawer as well and unable to ask my colleagues to retrieve it 😵 ... I will visiting Japan this year but seems the schedule its too tight and might no able to visit Ghibli 😭

You can get some of the merch online and in different stores like Box Lunch or Japanese stationary stores depending on where you live! I have a cat bus notebook like the ones she showed and one of the Spirited Away shirts that she showed as well.

Okay….(deep breathes)….my inner weeb, my inner Ghibli fan, but most especially my inner child had me screaming “I WANNA GO TO GHIBLI!! I WANNA GO THERE!! MOMMY, WE NEED TO GO TO GHIBLI PARK!!!”
Ahem! God, and that’s just one area; and oh lord help me all the merch at the store with gorgeous shirts, plushies, posters and MODEL KITS, GLORIOUS STUDIO GHIBLI MODEL KITS….ahem, sorry; but indeed you can see Grandpa Miyazaki’s finger prints are all over here even at his age he and the rest of Ghibli made sure that the park is just as beautiful and magical as the movies or even shorts
Now I’m even more excited to see what Iron Town and Kiki’s Delivery Service town will look like but I know it will be just as magical and beautiful
