Misguided identity of the Immortal Ātma [the Pure Feeling of I Am] with the mortal mind and matter, known as identity crisis, as 'I Am' is Avidya. There is no nescience or ignorance greater than this and no sin or felony [mahā pātaka] stronger than this. In other words, considering the body and the mind as "I Am" is the most prevailing dominant Avidya. Conversely, mere understandings at the intellect level that "I Am not the body and the mind" after theoretically studying Upanishads or after listening to upanyāsās [śravaṇa] of spiritually intellectual people [who have no actual experience] is Vidya. Because, this so called Vidya [pānditya without direct experience of the Ultimate Truth], leads us to spiritual-egotism, self-image and self-esteem. Therefore, this sort of Vidya is more hazardous and harmful than Avidya. Hence, a real Seeker of Truth has to transcend both Vidya and Avidya through sincere 'manana' [reflection of what is read and/or heard] and 'nididyāsana' [finally establishing oneself firmly in the Ultimate Truth that I AM]. Any Vidya that does not help us to steadily ascertain ourselves in OUR OWN PURE SELF is Avidya. To eradicate Avidya and to transcend Vidya, Bhagavān Buddha's Meditation Technique helps us significantly if practiced on the basis of Upaniśadic Tattvās- practice of Inner-awareness based on the Ultimate Principles as enshrined in the Upaniśads. To sum up, [1] knowing and experiencing, "I Am the body and the mind" is Avidya; [2] intellectually knowing [but NOT unswervingly experiencing] that "I Am not the body and the mind" is [Apara-] Vidya; and, [3] transcending both Avidya and [Apara-] Vidya and firmly establishing oneself in the TRUTH THAT WE ARE, is the Highest Jnāna- the Ultimate Reality. "I Am the body and the mind" experience has to be methodically and meticulously investigated by shining Conscious-awareness to negate this misunderstanding or ignorance. This takes us to [Apara-] Vidya that "I Am not the body and the mind". This [Apara-] Vidya has to be transcended incessantly by persistently investigating, "if I Am not the body and the mind and SOMETHING other than them" then, "WHO and WHAT I Am?" This is Self-inquiry. Only after getting Intuitive Answer to this inquiry at the direct experiential level, [Apara-] Vidya becomes Para-vidya or Ātma-vidya and helps us to realize the Ultimate Truth that we ARE, which cannot be explained but can only be experienced DIRECTLY and SILENTLY. This, Mahātmās say, is Total Liberation or Nirvāṇa or Self Realization or Enlightenment.
Mataji What happens to the subtle body (sukma Sharir) after death? Does it follow the Karan Shahrir or the Atman ? Does it follow the next birth when we adopt a new body ?
But some people have been through such horrible traumas since childhood - slavery, war,… - no exposure to goodness even though their own heart is good. It’s a shame to consider that the innocent child who has been so horribly victimised is held responsible. They can only try to heal themselves before they can help others. Does that count as papa? Is that what is being said?
Being aware and being aware of -Mataaji is interpretation is really superb. What I am conscious varies that I am conscious non varies is the observation by our pujya Guru, Thanks.

Pranams mataji! Thank you so much and looking forward to Kena Up. One request - your mic is a bit subdued, audio output is low.
I wish she would teach Yoga Nidra next. I had some level of success a long time ago, I didn't know it had a name back then.
