This bottle cap project is the only one that I have found that I will actually try to make. They are really pretty and would make great handmade gifts. Thanks so much for sharing.
I love these!!! You have so many beautiful beads and charms. I am going to have to make some. Time to get shopping for all the goodies. Have a great day!!!
Robin Whitmarsh Hey girl if you have a hobby lobby near you I did see somebody post here in the last couple days that they had a lot of their bottle cap accessories on clearance. Mine is an hour and a half away so it doesn’t make it too easy but I get there maybe once a month. I’m hoping to go soon to check it out!
Thank you. Mine is about 25 minutes. I will have to go, I love that store. But I have gone twice on a Sunday, because I always forget they are closed. But thank you again, I will definitely go
This was a wonderful, well-thought-out, inspiring video - Love it and I will watch again so that I can see things I might have missed. Please do more - You are thorough, yet not too verbose - Well Done!!!!
I love💖 these sooo much!! Yes!! Please- I'd love to see your series! These are beautiful! Love your style, and your voice is so kind and soothing. Looking forward to everything you do. I personally loved your last video on shakers. It has inspired me to gather the supplies to try rheum myself. Thank you for sharing your talent and ideas with everyone here💕
Those are so pretty I have been trying to figure out a craft I could do with my bottle cap collection and this one will definitely be perfect for it thanks for sharing
Love this video with the bottle tops! It explains everything so well. You are so sweet and friendly!! The ideas are going in my head now thanks to you. Nurses are great, they helped saved my life.
I love those little shaker caps... It looks real easy to make that "P", not quite that easy but easier as you practice. Have those little pearl dangles, so cute. Mary
Love what you did with these. They're so pretty. I always wondered how the shaker ones were made, since you can't run a jump ring up through the acetate, and I never thought about two separate pins. Excellent video!
I just bought some bottle caps, and was going to do just a regular bottle cap...that was until I came across your video! I love all things shaker, and bling, and these are soooooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I love your stuff so much I just had to subscribe to your channel! 😊❤️
I have gotten them several places like big lots on Ebay and Amazon, but they also sell some at Michaels(just a gold and silver color that looks aged) and Hobby Lobby has had them. Amazon has some really good deals on them! Some are flattened and some are not so watch out for that. Just depends on if you want a shaker or to just make a element for a scrapbook page! ❤️
Shabby & Unique USA yes it’s a clear piece that makes the shaker part and keep the glitter, sequins or micro beads inside it for the cool shaker effect. You can use acetate from old packaging even. ❤️
It’s glossy accents is the glue name. I have not had success with anything else so far. I have not tried e6000 though but from my experience I make a mess with that and it’s thicker so maybe using a toothpick you could get it I. The small area without it dripping.
I love these tutorials! I got all kinds of stuff and was so anxious to start making them, BUT, I have a problem. The resin disc that are clear are to small for the top of the bottle cap and you can't put anything in the bottle cap. I have tried everything to make the top piece of acetate to go on them but just can't make them. Please Please tell me how and where to get the top pieces of acetate so I can make these???
I used a 1 1/4 punch to punch the acetate circles. If you give me your address I will send you some if you can't find the punch size. It's a tricky size and the only craft store I could find them in is Hobby Lobby. Send me address to my Hotmail - Bree97Belle01@hotmail.com I can send them in a regular envelope for you!!
Bottle cap shakers are super super cute!!! Was curious where you found the paper clip black "clamps or clips" that finishes off the back of the shaker paper clip? Have seen others use them but have yet to find out where to buy them from! Hopefully you can help me! Thanks for sharing!
I had those from Dollar Tree for years now but Michael’s has some In their Dollar bins that are similar backs and easy to apply glue too. They have designs on them but they pop off pretty easily!

Love your video, I make altered clothespins, and these shaker caps really caught my attention!!! Curious, the mylar circle that you glue on the top what size is it for the deep caps? Could you buy a punch to make these toppers?
Actually my 1 inch punch would but nothing larger would and that’s not big enough. You need 1 1/4 punch ... if you find one that works let me know 👍or if you have a machine like a cricut, silhouette or brother scan and cut you could do them on it.
If you use 1 1/4 punch with the Staples Brand Write On Transparency Film it will punch through!! I just found the punch the other day at Hobby Lobby and I would leave the white paper that keeps it from scratching on it when you punch!
Fiskars has 1.25 inch circle punch that fits perfectly but you can’t punch a thick acetate with them or mine got stuck. Staples has a pack of acetate specifically for overhead projectors that can’t be printed on - only written that it will punch through. They come with a white sheet of paper to protect it from scratching and you can use it and it will go through both and it helps protect it from getting scratched! (Those punches are hard to find... I just found that size at Hobby Lobby last week and they only had one. I had been looking for awhile)
Thank you. I found the fiskars one on Amazon today. I have a swap partner on Instagram I still stay in touch with that does a lot of vinyl stuff on her silhouette and has an etsy business. I contacted her to see if she would cut some for me and I would pay her. I really need to think about investing in a silhouette! Thank you for replying. These would make cute book marks too. I'm a Domestic Violence Survivor/Advocate so my creative wheels started turning. I found purple bottle caps, I found 1" purple ribbon downloads on Etsy, and I have a bunch of large paper clips with a flat round surface to glue things to. I'm always looking for items to make, sell, and donate part of the profits to the shelter that once helped me! Have a great night! I love these shaker caps! Thank you for the inspiration!
Jeepgirl www.hobbylobby.com/Beads-Jewelry/Tools-Adhesive/Jewelry-Making-Tools/Hole-Punch-Pliers/p/80901025 here is one from HL - they have them at Michael’s as well for sure
Also could you put a link to those clear resin flatbacks that you used over the image the ones with glitter and the others you kept in the sleeve. I tried to find them but I am getting tons of other flat backs up on ebay
I really love this idea, I made a bunch of 3D bottle cap charms, but I don't have acetate. Do you think a piece of hard plastic could also work? (Like plastic from a Starbucks cup etc?)
Jasmine I don’t see why not. I know some people even use the inner packages of like stickers that have that see-through piece. Or even the clear packaging it self but a Starbucks cup might actually last longer and be a little thicker. Good thinking I love it!
@@CraftingItUpandCreations sorry, I have another question 😂. I currently only have Elmer's school glue at my house. Would that work to glue the plastic on or is it preferred to buy super glue? Do you also have any other suggestions to stick the plastic onto the cap?
I don’t think it will have the same hold as the glossy accents. There are other types called diamond glaze and something else that’s the same but they have the hold you need. Even with the glossy accents you have to make sure you don’t leave an area empty area or an area that the acetate is uneven where you can catch it where it will pull off... I hope that makes sense but if it overlaps too much it will flick off easy.
it will as long as the acetate is on the thinner side. I have had some that is thicker than others and it would not punch through. If I can find the sizes I will let you know!!
acetate is heavier but I did most using the transparency film from Staples. Some of mine that have lifted up was due to having a little piece hang over the edge (where I did not have it sitting right) and it would catch on something and peel back. But honestly most of the ones I have done have held up really well!
I don't see why not but they may not be as deep as some of the crafting bottle caps. I have used those to do images inside or on the back of for badges but not for the shakers.
Sorry to hear that... I wish I could be there to see what is going on. I barely squeezed the glue around the edges where it would just sit on the rim. When I laid it on top of it I made sure not to press down too hard and just put a little pressure so it would touch. I also used that same glue. I don't know if that will help though. I wish I could be there.
I hope to put these and a few others in craft sales... I will be doing a video on the packaging and pricing in the future! Thanks for asking and for watching!
What am I doing wrong. Glue spilled into the picture and items inside. Waited for a while and it never really dried. I I used glossy accents glue. Help
Here is the glue: www.amazon.com/Ranger-Inkssentials-Accents-Precision-2-Ounce/dp/B000S14MNC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1529279719&sr=8-2&keywords=crystal+effects+glue Acetate from Staples www.staples.com/Staples-Write-On-Transparency-Film-100-Sheets-8-5-x-11/product_954144 Hope that helps!! (Not affiliated links just where you can get them) Thanks
I may list these in upcoming craft shows. I am going to make a bunch of things and then work on packaging them up and will do videos along with what I do and hope to report even what are best sellers! :)
Why does it seem like Americans BUY all their supplies when ‘crafting’? So where is the craft? You are simply putting a bunch of store bought items together! At least here in Europe, we recycle & upcycle making what we create a real work of art. I don’t mean to sound nasty, just why not help our environment and up cycle things like bottle caps, etc. so easy and so rewarding to see ‘found’ items not going into recycling bins turn into something really special. Right now I am making beautiful tree ornaments using the bottoms of soda&beer cans. Yes, it takes time to cut them, paint them decorate them but that is what makes them so special when I give them as gifts. And Then I up-cycle cigarette boxes- painting them, decoupaging them or even adding paper clay embellishments that then become pretty boxes to put my ornaments in. I love crafting with up-cycled materials.
I say what ever crafting you do that makes your heart happy, then do it. Isn’t that the point? I have done upscales and recycles but I don’t buy a lot of bottle drinks that I could have used this particular craft. Enjoying making the craft and tailoring crafts that could be even more premade than this is still crafting in my opinion. Everything from scratch is just not typically feasible for most people and having all the tools to use as well. The crafting business is booming it seems so many things that were hard to find have been made to sell in packs now because of their popularity. I used to think just go back in your back yard and get a stick but half my audience lives in cities and do not have that option. Crafting is what you make it.
Those are beautiful, you did a wonderful job!

Awesome video, thank you for sharing, can you please tell where did you buy your bottle caps? Thank you.
I have gotten them several places like big lots on Ebay and Amazon, but they also sell some at Michaels(just a gold and silver color that looks aged) and Hobby Lobby has had them. thanks for sharing but I dont understand what the acitate is? is it the round piece you put on the bottle cap after the glue you put on?
Shabby & Unique USA yes it’s a clear piece that makes the shaker part and keep the glitter, sequins or micro beads inside it for the cool shaker effect. You can use acetate from old packaging even. ❤️
@@CraftingItUpandCreations ok. I see where did you get the little bottles from and their name. Can you put E6000 in them?

Hello 👋👋👋🙂 I have a question please. Is there another way to cut the acetate? I don’t have a die cutting machine. 🤷♀️

Loved your tutorial. How large did you cut your acetate? I don’t have a die cut but I think my Cricut would cut through it.

Cute. Sorry, I had to turn down the volume, you had a beeper or something going off ino the background and it was driving me nuts.
It is her theme song playing over and over and over....
OMGOSH!! That is such an ingenious method to use the head pins for the shakers!! And they're all so gorgeous!!!
