Hey Lady! Another fun video! I really like when you show all the stuff you used to make your projects and when you show stuff like taking the beads out of the stylus - you're teaching me to look at things differently. I have an old Dollar Tree inkpen that ran out of ink but it had little gems in the barrel! Hmmm! I could poach those little sparklies and use them in a shaker bottle cap! I have a bag of old bottlecaps in the kitchen drawer I think. Hopefully I still have them! TFS!
I like all the bottle caps that you shared with me. I would like to know if I were offer them up for sale, as a hobby? if that make sense, as well as I enjoy making them. Thank you for sharing these with me and this my first writing. Keep up the work. Dee.
Thank you!! I have actually so far tried to put together one kit that I was going to offer that includes everything but the glue. I thought about doing a few but it’s quite a lot to put together. I could post a link to this comment when I have it if your interested in buying it. Thanks for watching!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this video! I love this idea and can hardly wait to try this..... Exceptional presentation of the shaker caps and products to use inside. So many uses for these darling little bottle cap shakers.
Midori Decorative e Non Solo it is an adhesive. You can add it to the top of a die cut and it will give it a glossy look to whatever you put it on. I used it under the acetate because it’s a good adhesive and permanent!
I’m not completely sure but they also sell a brand called diamond glaze that is the exact same thing! So if you can key in either product for a search they are the same! ❤️❤️
Seww BEAUTIFUL!! It's also a good way of using up the craft paper scraps/leftovers. Stay safe with the storm approaching. We are also expecting it as well here in South Florida. TFS
I subscribed after watching. I love those bottle caps. Here in Texas, we E-6000 (glue) to the backs of bottle caps and glue those pins or tack flat backs and people pin them to their baseball caps, and their Crocs. Love them.😊👍 Have a blessed day.🤗💕
I was so excited to see your post. I am a nurse manager for small unit and look for crafts to do in staff meeting from time to time. The badge reel bottle cap is just great. Ordering today for July meeting. Keep the ideas coming!
I am sorry one more question you put the stick in the bottom then the clear circle on top then add your shakers then put the glossy accents around the bottle cap then put your plastic over that I love that tip on your glossy accents
Yes that sounds right! I have found a good deal on amazon for the glue bottle. I bought mine long ago and it was one per package but Amazon has a set of 10 and I just shared this with someone else so I thought I’d post it here too. I am not affiliated or reimbursed just sharing a good deal. www.amazon.com/Needle-Bottle-Applicator-Quilling-Precision/dp/B071G84WW5/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1529602832&sr=8-3&keywords=precision+tip+applicator+bottle
Hi Janet. I recently subscribed and going through you're videos. Wow there's so many interesting content. I've never seen these shaker ideas before. They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing you're expertise, really appreciate it. Take care now.
Thank you! I have always bern intrigued by the bottle cap accessories but didn't know or seen shakers made from them, they are so cool and beautiful! I'd like to see done with the bead dangles and how you add jump rings, that would be grest if possible. Thank you again for this great tutorial! Happy crafting, God bless :-)
I know this is an old video, but I would love to find the gingerbread man and cookie cutter in one of the caps you showed. If you happen to remember where this came from I would love to know. I can remember the strangest items and where I got them and others... nope! I totally understand if you don't remember!! Love this!
DanasMaking AMessAgain do you live near a hobby lobby or a Joann’s? They have had them in their stores. Might be more seasonal for Joann’s though. I have seen them there and even at Walmart during Christmas season in their button section. They are my favorite too! ❤️❤️
Yes 1.25 and if you have something will cut 1 1/2 then you can use a pair of scissors to trim around edge! That was my what I did with a few first ones and then looked for more dies in my stash
You won't believe this but I kept thinking of what I could do with all these bottle caps I have saved. Then I find your video tonight and there you are making these pretty creative bottle caps.I am soo excited and happy and can't wait to go to the dollar store, and craft store and get what else I need to make a bunch of these. You could also make some cute hanging earings.I saw this somewhere being done in the past somewhere.Keep having fun crafting and thank you for the great video. My Mama was a dedicated nurse.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡..........
I love these so much ..will attempt but I don't have a die cutting machine can you tell me which do you have and what die cut is that one I tried googling the mft but no luck finding... would a circle punch work to punch out acetate sheet?but what size circle punch. Sorry for all the questions but I love these and want to make for a Christmas craft show I do yearly...thank u so much for sharing
No problem!! I am happy to answer them to help with your crafting! The circle punch I found that works is a Fiskars 1 1/4 punch. (So far I have only seen it at Hobby Lobby) maybe can get it online and others may have it as well. The acetate can’t be too thick or your punch will get stuck. I have one from Staples (it’s kind of expensive and a large pack) it’s Write-On Transparency Film and it states on package that its write on use only and you can’t print on it. But it’s thin enough to punch through. I say if you happen to buy a pack leave the white paper over it when you punch to and that keeps anything from scratching it. It will punch through. Thanks for watching!!
You can get the supplies from Amazon such as craft bottle caps fairly inexpensive and I bought a huge thing of acetate at Staples.... you can even find bottle caps at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. All the fillers come from any craft store or area. You can get things from Dollar Tree and Walmart for them too such as beads or sequins. :) Hope that helps!! Thanks for watching!
Maria RG I actually picked up the acetate from Staples. It’s in a bigger pack. Give me a couple days to look through my stuff but I think I have a kit made if your interested with everything but the glue. I used crystal effects. It’s held up the best!
You can add them to hair bows, paper clips, scrapbook pages, planner holders- like a belly band, and really anything you could add an Embellishment to. I made a bunch with a few of these in mind. :)
I bought a huge pack from Staples. It’s says it’s for overhead projectors and for writing on not printers. The best thing it’s not as thick as some I’d ordered from Amazon so the 1 1/4 punch works on it and is the perfect size! 😊
I love these. Would like to make them for our Relay for Life event. Where did you get the acetate? Is it the same as mylar? Thanks for the video. Nancy
You could use Mylar or even packaging that stickers are stuck to! I have a package of the Staples Write-on Transparency film and I found a punch the other day at Hobby Lobby Fiskars 1 1/4 circle punch and it punches through the Staples brand and is the perfect size. I suggest leaving the white paper in between when punching so that it won’t scratch it! Thanks for watching!!
What do u use on top again? I rewound a few times if we dont have those tools to cut out the top is there anything else u could recommend? Sorry, I'm new to crafting & these really caught my eye! Very cute.
I am just seeing this and I see it was 6 months ago! 😔 You can cut the circle out with scissors even. I used glossy accents to glue these on the top of the bottle cap rim. I am so sorry I am just seeing this
I would say yes but you may need to cover them with a sealer to keep it from scratching off since they are metal. You could also do a thin coat of the glossy accents over it as well and let it dry.
First time watching! I really enjoyed watching. I want to make the shaker bottle caps but there are so many types of acetate. Which brand do you use? Also the tip for the glue.
You can get it at an office supply store like Staples or Office Max. I haven’t checked Walmart... Staples has a brand that says “write-on transparency film” and it can be punched out with a 1 1/4 punch that Fiskars makes and it’s perfect size. Thanks for watching!
I got mine online at Fire Mountain Gems but I have seen them at Michael's and Hobby Lobby. :) Sorry I was late getting back to you on this and thanks for watching!
Amazon had them for a super great price! Let me see if I can find a link. (Not affiliated just an example- and check because prices change daily on there so you may find cheaper!) One is $5.19 on there or you can get 10 for this price. I have 2 and the handles broke on them so I have to keep up with the tip but they work after months of abuse from me haha. www.amazon.com/Needle-Bottle-Applicator-Quilling-Precision/dp/B071G84WW5/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1529602832&sr=8-3&keywords=precision+tip+applicator+bottle
I bought some bottle caps I think from Michaels, and when I opened them I found they already had holes punched in them. The only problem is the holes are kind of big.
I have bought a large pack from Amazon but you can find them at Michael’s and Hobby Lobby ( they had some on clearance a few months back and I picked up some of those) I am guessing you can find them at Joann’s or AC Moore because the ones that I go to have pretty big jewelry sections but I haven’t looked specifically. Thanks for asking.
I guess I tailored this to a seasoned crafter and will have to go back maybe and just do a how to video... thanks for your feedback I do appreciate that!
So cute. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!! Thanks for watching!!
This is amazing, thank you for teaching us!

I love your shakers question can you make a necklace with the bottle cap shakers keep the videos coming
I would say yes but perhaps adding the bail to the back and hanging it from a necklace would be best or most sturdy. Thanks for watching!! :)
Great tutorial. I have a question. what's the name of your die from MFT? Thank you.
It My Favorite Things Blueprints #23. They have many but this is the one that has the 3 sets of circles together. :)

You can add them to hair bows, paper clips, scrapbook pages, planner holders- like a belly band, and really anything you could add an Embellishment to. I made a bunch with a few of these in mind. :)

where do you buy your badge reels
Where do you buy the bails ?

Where do you get the bottle for the glossy accent ?
You can get it from Michael’s - it was $6.99/7.99 for the large bottle but you can use a coupon - and they have it on Amazon as well.
For how much you sale each bottle cap shaker? And how much for the I'd badge holders with the bottle caps?
Ho did you cut the clear top??
💝
I thought there would be some instruction on making these. I was disappointed.
I guess I tailored this to a seasoned crafter and will have to go back maybe and just do a how to video... thanks for your feedback I do appreciate that!

PoleGem I didn’t say I couldn’t do them. I’m not stupid. I just thought there was more to the video.
Very pretty but too much talk and not enough action
Can’t please everyone I suppose but thanks for the compliment.
