Jocelyn getting killed was something that didn’t happen in the books so it was one of those things that got to shock everyone but honestly…im glad they did it
I feel for Jace , how he longed for Clary but he knows he can't have her & seeing Simon comfort her knowing it should have been him...
Magnus is freaking powerful indeed!
I feel like what happens to Jocelyn just is so random, and whilst I never felt particularly attached to her character, after having spent an entire seasond dedicated to getting her back etc. to go out in episode 4 is wack 🤣😭 It does act as a way to find out more about Alec in the way he responds to it... she was the writer's sacrifice 🤣😭 also glad to know Ellie Goulding permanently altered the way you hear "what are you waiting for" nice to know someone else does the same🤣
Personally I liked this decision because she was pissing me off in these few episodes 😅

Tbh I didn't like Jocelyn, but it's a lil funny that we spent the entire first season trying to wake her up and she is already dead hahahaha I think they didnt know what to do with her

. . This is the episode I was talking about when I was ಠ_ಠ about Alec and Clary bonding lol. It really does suck that that's how they took Jocelyn out, and I feel you - they spent so long trying to wake her up just to kill her lol. And poor Clary :(. The way she shuts down (while on the opposite though equally not seen much, Alec's pain and guilt is very clear) is great D:.
Even though it's diabolical, Aldertree's torture of Raphael also being Magnus's punishment does a really good job of showing how some of the clave can be. And it shows Magnus and Raphael's relationship more :)! Also Magnus trying to stop Simon and Raphael from fighting is the funniest thing lol.
This episode also gives us an important chunk (though in a few small scenes) of Magnus's backstory. His story about Camille and confrontation with her are heartbreaking :((. Glad she's gone now though
