Jumping into some Flyers talk we discuss the Flyers hot streak (1:47), Sam Ersson’s strong recent stretch, defense getting better, Scott Laughton’s absence, Ryan Poehling’s injury, Rodrigo Abols NHL debut, Ivan Fedotov officially being the NHL backup to Ersson, and some notes from Danny Briere’s recent press conference involving Rasmus Ristolainen, Jett Luchanko, and Oliver Bonk. Moving around the league Nasty and Riles talk about Jordan Staal reaching 1300 NHL games played and Mitch Marner scoring his 700th career NHL point (9:32), Connor McDavid and Tyler Myers’ suspensions (11:01) and send our best wishes to Zack MacEwen (13:47).
Former Philadelphia Flyers captain Derian Hatcher joined us for an interview (14:25)! Big Hatch talks to us about what he’s up to these days, becoming half owner and coach of the Sarnia Sting in the OHL (16:52), coaching Travis Konecny (19:26), his coaching style and things he took from coaches he played for (22:27), his thoughts on the current Flyers team and John Tortorella (26:07), and the old NHL vs the new NHL. Moving over to his playing career we discuss starting out with the Stars (37:03), the leadership group they had (40:43), being named captain, playing with his brother, playing for Team USA in the World Cup and Olympics (45:20), and fighting (57:44). Wrapping up the interview with Hatch, Derian gives us his thoughts on the job Danny Briere and Keith Jones are currently doing (1:03:15), playing in Philly, and his incident with Sidney Crosby (1:05:34).

Life long Flyers fan, but I lived in Dallas (Cedar Hill) in 99 and I had a hook up. Got to see the 2nd game of the stanley cup finals. It was awesome
